Queen may be considered vaudeville, but they have not done any genre of music a disservice, least of all its classical forms. After listening to Queen, who is not inspired and moved to appreciate all forms of music, even disco. Now you may say what about American Country Music. But the original title of Bohemian Rhapsody itself was, "The cowboy song", and the imagined backdrop or setting of "Another one bites the Dust" is a shoot out in an American western movie, although its theme would be unrequited love or heartbreak, with allusions to Freddie's own personal life, which is why and although I thought the Country version of Somebody to Love by Rachel Potter was really good, as is the hip-hop version of Another one bites the dust, hip-hop and rap styles in themselves would hardly be the first music styles of choice for orchestrating songs about American Black rival gang fights even, much less a song about systemic heart-break in society, unless you happen to be an extremely talented and sensitive artist. Queen have a very eclectic and a unique music style full of diversity and richness and above all depth and good taste. Even a single song of theirs draws its inspiration from a wide variety of sources, evokes a range of emotions, takes recourse to and employs many different style's of music as clearly audible in songs like Bohemian Rhapsody and Innuendo and somehow also manages to touch upon various personal and socially relevant and sensitive issues and topics in an effort to drive the point home. It is a veritable musical feast, you can gorge on without fear of ensuing ill-health.
