You consistently provide some of the best and most valuable content in all of UA-cam. Much appreciated. This webinar was extremely useful for me.
So glad to hear that!
+Jon F. Lee Marketing Communication Services Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you ever tried - Larlazboon Predictable Domination (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a great one of a kind guide for unlocking the code to making 547 a day with simple mobile money pages without the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work colleague after a lifetime of fighting got excellent results with it.
Nail on the head about hourly rates. I've used a similar example to the painters example. I always base the pay on the work and everything else is worked out in my head. Thanks for this!
Absolutely!
Thank you Mr. Blake for this video. I have been a freelance illustrator and animator for while now and I'm still learning new stuff. Godspeed
I am a first time viewer. I have been in graphic design for a few years (not saying I am good at it) and this year I have decided to invest a little more time in it and this video helped answer a lot of questions. Thank you.
Your videos are awesome. I've been doing design for many years, and I still get a lot out of your insights and tips.
So glad to hear that!
Loved this webonar, Roberto! I learned a lot, especially about the hourly rate and book recommendations. Thank you for your awesome work! 😊
I finally got around to watching this (gutted that I missed it live), but it was very helpful. I'm currently looking for more freelance clients, so this was very pertinent to my situation. Thank you for your advice.
Library at the Edge of the World Sorry you missed it live, glad you enjoyed it.

Matt Mercado Thanks.
Hi + Roberto Blake, thanks for the video,
it’s so good. I have a question for you, related with the last topic. Where or
how can I find a salesman?. Do you recommend some website or resource to find them?.
Thanks again!
Hey Roberto. What were the names of the job boards you mentioned? Thanks much.
Hitfilm has just released a express version of their editing and compositing tools it would be cool if you made a video about it .
Thanks
This helped 👌
Max games Glad to hear it!
Jerica Colón Useful info!
Edgardo Malave Glad you found it helpful!
Thank YOU for the content!
Someone had asked tips for beginning illustrators in your video. Do you think showing yourself too soon would be a bad thing? Like being inexperienced or not being artistically developed yet? Or should you still go on and show your work, studies, sketches, etc. to build some kind of audience in social media?
Cristian J Rosas I would say show your work and be authentic about where you are in your journey.
Okay. Thought I'd get your opinion on that.
Thank you for all these informative videos man! :)
Cristian J Rosas
I also believe you need to practice in finding clients next to training your art skills, because its way harder for most people to find clients anyway.. plus you can always get better by practice and show them to clients who rejected you at first..
i've heard a story where comic artists got rejected over 70 times, but kept sending work to them..
One of them was going through the same hardships.. and now he's drawing Spawn for marvel comics.. no joke
Cristian J Rosas Not a problem!
Lucki Rockit It's true!
Hey roberto did you design your "create awesome" shirts, or have someone else do it?
JK JCGaming I designed the Create Awesome Shirts and Jordan Cuellar helped with sketching the lettering of the Always Be Creating shirts.
Roberto Blake Yeah I Remember you mentioning that he helped you with the always be creating shirts and mugs, anyways they both look great and i might pick one up some time!
How do I contact you?
What would you consider to be a quality portfolio
Christian Brown Ultimately it comes down to your best work, usually the top 10% or 20% of results you've produced.
I haven't been freelancing as a design but as a blogger. I feel like I need more education in the design area.
I actually have been trying to learn on my own the basics.
KOOLAIDMAN100X patience is definitely important.
Stephanie Noel give it time and go at your own pace.
Ok. I will do that. Thanks.
when is the next one, i wish i made this one
Jihad Powell You missed it live but you can watch the replay the next one is next month. Be sure to join the newsletter so you don't miss the date for the next one!
