In a interview - Matt Bellamy said that this album is their alternative to just releasing a "best of" album. They went back through their catalog and put fourth the best type of each song they have made. Each song is their version of their best type of song. Kill or be killed is their best version of a metal song. And I would agree
Bellamy is a very talented composer! He likes to use various musical genres, instruments, effects, tools. He likes to combine rock, metal, symphonic orchestra, piano, synthesizers, dubstep, electronics, and classical music. He loves Queen, Chopin and other bands. And you know what's the best? The best part is that ultimately, when the song is done, it still sounds like Muse! In Muse we will find a lot of inspiration, but the sound will tell us that it's this band. I love them for that! Matt Bellamy said he didn't like recording two of the same albums. He likes variety. PS: On the Internet you can read that the next songs from the latest album "Will Of The People" will be very interesting. "Ghosts" is a sad piano ballad. The piece refers to death. "Liberation" is a musical rollercoaster. Apparently it resembles "Bohemian Rhapsody"! It will be interesting! Greetings to you! Great channel!
@@drewdrake4451 Yes i love it! This is one of my favorite songs! The symphony shows Matt Bellamy's great talent as a composer. Honestly, I miss classical music. I would like Muse to record something similar again sometime. The whole album "The Resistance" is a beautiful mix of Queen and classical music. Besides, "Exogenesis" is double happiness for me. Why? That was actually a gutteral during that breakdown I think, it just had mad effects/production on it. Matt can definitely do gutterals because there's a video from last week of him randomly doing one during madness which was so out of place but hilarious
