The golf course tunnel had 1ft deep water running through it this past Saturday! Fully loop was really mellowed out by the rains, especially all the brake bumps at the high speed downhill.
Thank you for making this video! I moved to AZ, and I miss trails like this. I used to do this trail weekly during the summer after work. I hope you are still enjoying this trail.
Thanks for that. I'm going to do the Fullerton loop with some people this Thursday morning despite the Heat so I am reviewing the videos on your channel so I know what to expect. When my bike buddy suggested it I immediately said yes because even though I don't ride in Orange County that much I knew that you had a video or two on this
i finally got to check this out yesterday and it taught my that my climbing needs a lot of work. Off to work with really sore legs thanks for the video!
Watching this vid brings back sooo many great memories when I lived in Fullerton. I use to ride this trail at least 3 - 4 times a week after work . Nothing but good times. Like Bob Hope sang"Thanks For The Memory"
Great video, i used your first video of Fullerton loop as a guide and super enjoyed this trail. Keep up the good work and looking forward to your new vids 👍
I will refer to you as Mr. special and you will like it! LOL Another GREAT video and guide. What an amazing service you are providing to people living or visiting SoCal. We all like to explore and find new places to ride, but if you literally have no clue or have never been to a trail system, it can be quite intimidating. When we first moved to Santa Cruz, we were totally lost. Even after riding it for 10 months, we are still finding huge swaths of track that we have never ridden before. Anyhow, thanks again brother for your service to the MTB community. Your efforts shall not go unrecognized!
Thanks again - always value you your feedback. And I agree - when I first moved here I had no idea how much was out there for trail systems. Amazing how things open up after a little bit of time and research. Appreciate you tuning in as always! - Mr. Special
been here several times after your trail guide video and i like it. Not very technical but it works out the lungs and legs! Got some more pointers for the next time from this video, thanks!!! Keep up the videos!
My go to trail with my 8 year old son...we just skip the hitcher trail and go straight to the train tracks on to the golf course. Unfortunately he is not confident yet to go on the outsiderville part of the trail. Awesome take as usual. 👍👍🤙🤙
I love not living in SoCal anymore.....however, I miss the Loop dearly. I lived off State College & Bastanchury and so this was my back yard. I rode it mostly at night, usually 3 or 4 times a week. Bummed that the kickers in Hiltshire park seem to be gone. There was a series of 3 right as you dropped in from crossing Harbor (or is that Euclid?). Also, yeah as others have mentioned.....the epic golf course kickers. I hope you all are still enjoying it.
I stumbled upon a bunch of little kicker ramps someone built up in the dirt in the dam portion of the ride the last time I was out there. Looked like a little jump park. Take the first tunnel instead of the second after the golf course and you can't miss 'em there on the left.
I've seen those too! I think they are small and more for BMX, but would be awesome if they were built up a little bigger for mtbs. Thanks for watching!
when I lived in long beach CA we used to ride Fullerton loop every Wednesday or Thursday night. it was a huge group usually started around 7pm or maybe 6. I left calif in 2007 not sure if thats still going. Even one year they did a 24 race on the course like 2005 ish not sure if that kept going either.
I've definitely seen you at the park with your dog before. I'll say what's up next time! Thanks for the post; I picked up a couple new tips I'll try tomorrow.
Great job on the trail guide..again. That's my backyard..practically. Glad you went left @ 6:28. Great job on showing the little hill @ 8:33 it's a great session for those that want to try semi steep chutes. GoPro didn't do it justice as it can a bit difficult for new riders..scarweey. Careful at 10:54 never assume the drivers can see you.
You gotta take a left after the Golf course tunnel to "Lost Trail" then make your way to "Panorama Trail" that leads to Panorama Nature Preserve. Not too thrilling but it adds some more climbing and the view is quite good. On clear enough days you can see the LA skyline. Great vids. appreciate the work, thanks man.
Just watched this and thought the same thing! I usually hit most all of the ‘bonus’ lines he showed, but was unaware of that part after the tunnel. Just got my neighbor into mtb, gonna show him The Fullerton loop this weekend.
For sure I'd refer to you as "Outsider" and I'm sure Piper would say that if he spoke human. Great second video of the Fullerton Loop. Hope I can do that ride someday. Thanks.
Great job on everything you do here. Ever thought of showcasing Chino Hills State Park? In particular the Chino Hills side which is more fun than the Brea side.
Chino Hills is my home trail system. Bane Ridge Singletrack has been my favorite after work for so many years, especially since I could ride from my front door. Now I live near the Santa Cruz Mountains and it was very cool to see you do Demo in addition to many trails back in my home area. Again really enjoying what you’re doing 👍
Crafton Hills is the easiest ride for beginners, if you ride down to the school and take the paved road up to the reservoirs. It skips the single track and makes the ride extremely gradual and smooth. Fullerton has a few sections that are too steep or rutted for a beginner
Always enjoy your videos, quick Question last time I was at the loop my only time we went clockwise , in your video It looks like you're going counter Clockwise which is Which is proper
Nice ride.. was this after the recent rain storm? I'm not from socal so not sure which trails handle rain the best. Do you know of any trails that might be dried up by now? I hate showing up after a long drive to find out it's closed.
Got me in trouble watching this. I was dipping my chips in water so I don't wake my gf up and you said air guitar piss and I got a laugh attack. Thank you for that and Shame on you for waking up my gf. Your voice reminds me of Martyleeds33.
@@TheOutsiderMTB love the content maybe I'll see you out there sometime. Hi Outsider. I am going to travel down to to the O. C. to ride this trail. I've Been Watching all the videos you have and other riders. What is the best app to use to follow the loop. It’s seems like a lot of mikes but Ig goes fast. I do it in about an hour but for your first time maybe allow an extra hour for stopping. Mtb projects has the full loop. 👍
I just finished the trail an hour ago and everything is almost dried up but its definitely rideable. I hit that jump at 14:21 and holy moly that lip sends you out there!!!
@@TheOutsiderMTB It could be considered an adjunct of the Fullerton Loop. Once you ride through the tunnels by the golf course you make a left. It's on MTB project, check it out and do a video please lol
May have missed it but ever put some work in at bonelli.... with strong enough legs someone can lose themselves in there for a while... not hard to average 200ft of elevation climbed for every mile

Nice! Even more stuff now since then. ✔️
Have you thought about doing a meet and greet and ride?? If anything you should do it here (Fullerton loop) for people that are new to mtb!!

Too much loose ground
