This isn't supposed to look exactly like Part 8, otherwise I'd cover the bottom snap holes completely, but it WAS directly inspired by the scene where he smashes his head through the room window. I thought it would be cool if glass stuck in his face even though that'd have to be REALLY sharp glass. Also, I know the blood needed to be darker. That was my big mistake!

The thing I love about these vids is that you make so many different scenarios for Jason to be in
"Sharp Edges" You've inspired me to make my own masks but I know that they probably won't be as good as the ones you make but I'll still try. I've already made one but it wasn't that good. I already bought another mask but now I need some krylon yellowish colors like the one you used in your part 3 & 4 masks. Anyway your masks look really good and I think that if they make another Friday the 13th movie that they should hire you to make the mask. Also forgot to mention but I really liked your pressure & time album

Little tip: when working with blood effects, start from the bottom and work your way up to the wound or where the blood is coming out of. It looks much more realistic. But for real, the way you do it is already extremely realistic!! Nice work dude! Love your videos

I didn't realize there was prop glass like this. Pretty cool. Though me personally if I tried making this. I'd probably use a clear plastic for to seem stiff like real glass. I do REALLY love how the mask came out with the color and blood. caught my eye more than the glass.

The title could very be merely a play on words: "pain" and "pane" are heterographs.
BUT
I think Jason's mask represents the "window" to his inner self and the glass shards represent the various traumas he's experienced, possibly as a kid, and after he died. But that's just my "Sharp Edged" Theory.

In honor of the new Halloween (and the recent amazing looking trailer) you should make a Michael Meyers mask! Carve out like the facial shape and what not,maybe use bondo or something to build the shape of it.

Something that I do for fake blood is mixing clear Elmer’s school glue with red food dye. It’s a really cool effect. Keep up the awesome mask vids tho! 👍

You should make one with a harpoon sticking out of it, and use something like plastic so that when someone sees it from the front, the blood looks 3d.
