@@user-pl3zh8lu3i I think hes talking about ь i ы, probably also the fact that Russian Cyrillic isnt really read how it’s pronounced whereas serbian usually is; привет = pri-viet, whereas serbian is just здраво = zdravo; each individual sound is pronounced. Z-d-ra-vō.
Russian language is a pretty soft language, no idea why people find it harsh

Wow! Serbian is really close to Bulgarian. There are some changes in words and prepositions and the words that are the same as Bulgarian are only pronounced with a differnet stress.
Близостта на българския и сръбския е подвеждаща. Сръбският език притежава 4 вида ударения- силови, и музикални (протяжни), което го прави уникален в групата на славянските езици, а може да се каже- и сред останалите индоевропейски езици. Сред тези езици единствено персийският разполага със система на музикалното ударение, но с двоичен, а не с четорен карактер (уф, не знам как се казва на български "четорен". Нещо съставено от четири елемента?). В лексиката близостта е най-видима, но и там има подводни камъни. Пример: српско слово "вредност" не е никак това, което си мислите на български. В македонския западнобългарски диалект има едносъставно и просто музикално ударение, но няма и следа от сложни силови и протяжни ударения- възходящо дълго, възходящо късо, низходящо дълго и низходящо късо, както е в сръбския език. И ако приликите между българските говори и сръбския литературен език са от лексикален карактер, то разликите са твърде съществени и от морфологично-синтактичен тип- наличието на падежи, деепричастни обороти и разгърната система на причастия превръщат сръбския език в един от най-богатите, универсални ( в смисъл- на сръбски може да се изговарят и най-сложните философски понятия); звучни и красиви езици в света, при това без да губи своята славянска старинност и изящество.

@@vdamianov още малко и ще получиш оргазъм ми се струва. Брадър сръбския, както и руския са езици образувани на базата на старобългарския или т.н. църковниславиянски език. Да не говорим, че е почто едно към едно с хърватския. Не знам колко е красив, но когато чуя сърбин да говори нормано е все едно се кара с някой. Звучи грубо, нападателно и остро. За разлика от българския, който е по-мек и звучи галещо и приятно. Чувал съм сърбин да казва за нашият език,че му е звучал женски. Нормално при положение , че техния се изговаря с някакв натъртен удебелен изговор. Българският език е по-уникален, защото е единственият славиянски език без падежи, с определителен член и използващ звука „ъ”. Македонският също, но той както знаем е диалект на българския език.
@@IvanPetrov-vu1th Напълно съм съгласна с теб, бих добавила също, че българският е уникален с многото си архаични думи, както и излючително богатата си и много добре запазена глаголна система от църковнославянския (9 глаголни времена), която в повечето славянски езици е силно опростена (пример: в руския има 3 глаголни времена). Руснаци казват, че имаме много "чист" славянски език, и няма как да не се съгласим с това.

I love Serbia, I had the chance to visit Belgrade twice and there might be chances to keep visiting. I wish the subtitles were on Latin alphabet to maybe have a better understanding on how to pronounce some words. besides that, this is a great idea.

I notice a distinct difference between Easy Languages Serbian and Easy Languages Croatian. The people of Belgrade seem a lot warmer, friendly, and more open to conversation. The people of Zagreb do not seem as happy to engage.
Well to be fair, everyone likes to speak with a beautiful woman. But yes, generally the stereotype is that Serbian people are warmer.

Can someone explain why Serbian, Russian and other languages in the English play-list?
i wish there was the romanisation in the subtitles.
I know it really bothered me when I was starting learning Serbian. Now I can read Cyrillic and it helps A LOT. Sucks to not see the letters :'(
What was the guy talking about with the one Ivana?
He was referencing two people,Ivana and Pavle(which are somewhat common names in Serbia) as what is beautiful to him. Also at the end he mentioned Belgrade (the capital)

is Easy Serbian series only going to have people speak 3 words? We need to hear natural expressions, not short phrases. None of the other easy language series do this. I appreciate your effort, but this 3 word approach ruins the experience for us as students.

please, why not in Latin!!? The majority of the people wanting to speak are not familiar with Cyrillic! Or at least could you edit two versions: Cyrillic version and Latin. Thank you!
Hunter Schulz Learn how to read the Cyrillic alphabet... ! End of the problem it's easy .... and I'm not Russian or Ukrainian Ect .. I'm latino.
It is not easy, thats the point- Accessibility should be paramount, lets not forget the latin alphabet is accepted. If you are translating Serbian into English, then it is obviously designed for people who AT LEAST know the latin alphabet. Id think the goal would be to get people familiar with the language and communicating quickly, in the easiest way possible. having to learn the Cyrillic alphabet on top of everything else seems like an unnecessary burden when there is an accepted easier alternative and the Cyrillic alphabet can be learnt and practiced without the aid of audio. it'll take most people a very long time before they are able to read Cyrillic at the pace of the speakers in these videos. I think Serbians take for granted how difficult it is. Having been raised with both, it comes naturally.
I do realize there are cultural reasons to why Cyrillic is favored over latin, I just feel in this situation it does more harm than good- dampening peoples enthusiasm to learn where otherwise the culture and language would be much more accessible.
Hunter Schulz that's true but don't forget that in the major part of Serbia, medias, newspaper, road signs are all in ćirilic. Serbia has these two alphabets, and bith are used the same ;)
I live in Serbia and the majority of the signs are in Latin, but thats besides the point. communicating with peopleIs is top priority for me and for these videos.( you can learn Cyrillic with a book.) The point of these videos is to read and hear how the words are pronounced, what parts of the words are accented and getting a grip of the rhythm whiling seeing the translation in your native langauge (English/latin)-I learned so much in French because of easy French. These Easy Serbian video will be useful for only a small amount of people wanting to learn. That is whats a shame, its a beautiful langauge.

Bulgarian language.
Armin S, Serbian and Croatian are two different languages. Like, Czech and Slovak. Also, we use Cyrillic script, but they don't.
