    TYVM for this. I found the manual to be very confusing. Installation was a breeze but programming was non-intuitive for me and I could make no sense out of the manual. Your description was perfect and I was able to set my thermostat and understand the programming by the end of this video - can't thank you enough for doing this!

    Great video, very helpful. But I would also have liked to see how to manage the Away function, hinted at by the suitcase icon.

    Thanks for your video. It helped me a lot. One question. Does the heat only come on up to the comfort zone. I have that set at 68. But when I see 70 that means that’s the room temperature. The heat won’t go on over what I have it set at. Is that right? I’m concerned about my electric bill.

    Will you please explain how to remove the cover to get to the micro switches? I'm afraid it will break the plastic if I attempt to pry it off improperly. Also, you wrote switch 3 is for "AF", what is AF?

    Does it always have to be shown as Celcius and if not how do you change to F?

    • @AA-kf7uf
      @AA-kf7uf 4 роки тому +3

      Default is C. You have to take the cover off and the unit on the wall is where this is set. Those little switches that show 1, 2, and 3 represent: 1 up position=F; down position=C....2 up position=early start so if you set the unit to come on at 6 am, if this is up, the unit will start earlier so that at 6 am, the temperature will be at that temp already; 3 is for AF mode so you probably want this up.

    I want to control this unit manually. I follow the book’s instructions, but when I later go back both the day and night settings are back up higher than I set. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help available. This is frustrating.

    Maybe a dumb question but can this system also be used to cool down your house.

    • @grahambarton1942
      @grahambarton1942 Рік тому

      No, it’s electric underfloor heating just like an electric blanket on a bed. The resistance of the wires to the electric current is what warms the floor and air above it. It doesn’t do cooling.

    great video but i have a question. Does this unit require a battery. I have the same unit for approximately 8 yrs and now it is not working and no display. The power to the unit from the breaker seems to be ok. Perhaps the battery needs to be changed. If so what battery is required> Thank you.

    what is an economy temperature and comfort temparture mean?

    • @dennisburns6727
      @dennisburns6727 3 роки тому +2

      Economy is the lower temp you program into the thermostat for the hours you are away or sleeping and want to 'economize' . . . (house icon #2 and #4)
      Comfort is the higher temp you program into the thermostat for the hours you are home and want to be 'comfortable' . . . . . . . (house icon #1 and #3)

    • @grahambarton1942
      @grahambarton1942 Рік тому

      In a temperate climate you can think of economy temperature as the “off” temperature. For when u don’t need any heating such as during the day. But in cold countries in winter you might still want to set to a minimum, for example 2 deg C to stop the pipes freezing

    To confusing it drives me nuts! I want a old fashion heater turn the heat on and off with a dial to turn the temp you want that's it that's all.
