Facts!
1. No one just has extra cars around!
2. Your math says that's a $30/ trip guarantee..no way!
4. Octupus annoys people.. You'll lose in tips and ratings
5. I fully agree! Nice neutral instruments really help
6. Friendly is a must, but don't over do it. All big tips come from chit chat
7. I always unlock right as they approach it and lock as they leave. ALWAYS ask them which driver they are looking for!
8. Use a separate mounted phone for navigation.. install Quick Video Recorder and you can record whenever with no extra cam to buy
9. Scheduling and area is important! You're very right!! Find patterns

I really wish that we would get a cancellation fee for unaccompanied minors and people that don’t have car seats that is so incredibly frustrating

I just had it out with a family at the Disney resort in Hawaii. As I refuse to take their 3 babies without any car seats. As I walked away I said I was sorry that I cared more about their kids that they did. The Valet shook my hand as I walked past. I won't worry about the money as much as I do the kids.
Another tip - Shower daily, folks. Nobody likes a smelly driver.
You can forget even attempting to stay in your "area" because we all know there's no way to to determine what "area" this rideshare is going to take you until they climb into the back seat of your car and you swipe the app. Yesterday my first attempt turned into a cancel when she wanted a ride from Dollywood to Nashville 😂...it does help to live 5 minutes from the airport.

Uber. Is taking big time. Surge money from customers and they only gave you 5 dollars. On delivery trips they pay 3 dollars. Base pay. Not. Full. Services. So drivers are. Not. Independent contractors they are employees. Right
Ya just got set up as an uber driver recently. Went to get my inspection at a "free" site listed on the app only to have a bait and switch and charged me the same as everywhere else

They put something on the app when they take your ride that says this driver records for your and their safety I don't know how it exactly what it says but it's on there

He had some helpful tips. It's just that presentation wise- it looks like this dude just woke up and with bad hang over. His advice was all over the place. Very absent minded. Lots of second guessing "I've heard about this app, but dont know about it much, but i dont know just try it"- LOTS of that.

1/3 to the taxman 1/3 to gas and repair and you only get 1/3 of what you make?
If you’re losing 1/3 of what you make on gas, you’re doing it wrong. I make 10x what I spend on gas for a busy night and that includes my 30 minute drive home.
My tip: don’t drive for Uber at all in 2022 unless you have an EV. It being I don’t have an EV, I stopped doing it. It’s just not worth it at these gas prices, and the low pay! Forget it. I’m done
Yeah, I couldn’t imagine. I’m only taking short mile delivery orders and have paid way more attention to the mileage- in my area and my car’s decent gas mileage, $1 per mile is the BARE minimum I’ll take an order for.
Its true gas is making it difficult. Uber needs to pay half the gallon per mile. For example 5.00 a gallon well uber drivers deserve 2.50 per mile!
