We've ridden the GAP and C&O every year since 2019. The climb from Cumberland to the Eastern Continental Divide is quite a workout. The Big Savage tunnel was just a little north of the Frostburg trailhead. It's really long and has lights, very cool. The GAP would be no problem with the Burly. The C&O might be difficult at the Paw Paw tunnel. The detour has a super steep, narrow, rocky section and the actual tunnel trail, when it opens, is very narrow, barely wide enough for 2 bikes to pass. I'd suggest doing it early or late on a weekday, that way you minimze the chance of meeting someone coming the other way. If you want any info on the trails I'd be happy to help you out.
Frostburg is a sweet little town. We loved the GAP. The trail surface is a little nicer and more consistent than the Katy. You may have gotten almost to Mt Savage, where the first steel rails in America were made. Before that they were all brought from England by ship.
Great video guys. Before Nicole and I went on our climbing trip to Wyoming, we bought a Yakima roof top box. On our way south, we stopped at her parents place in Billings to celebrate Nicole's 33rd birthday. Her mom bought that same brand of soft roof top box as yours for a birthday gift. It was a very sweet thought. The Pistol cam is a must! We all need to keep an eye on the Green Bean Queen!!! My brother and his wife just did a pretty famous ride in Iowa. It was well supported with Sag wagons and plenty of brew pubs. There were quite a few riders by the looks of the pictures they sent. You two might enjoy that ride as well. I can get the info if you are interested. Carey On!
Nice video! The forever young family lives up to their name. I got puls just looking to this video. After tre weeks just driving and eating, I am destroyd.
Here in Oregon near Driftwood Beach the Blackberrys are not quite ripe yet Love the ride videos I need to buy a Burley tail wagon my dog would not ride in my BOB trailer sold it and now I know what. I want have a great ride Thanks
Rip the bandaid off💪. I rode it last year and it's not as bad as people make it out to be. The long "downhill" towards Pittsburgh is a really nice ride. And if it's been raining, embrace it, because it means beautiful waterfalls from Confluence to Connellsville. The C&O surface is rougher than the GAP & KT. But a very beautiful ride, through beautiful country. 🤙
Thanks! We were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t to bad on the section we rode. Dave also went for a run on the towpath and decided Pistol would not enjoy the bouncing trailer ride:)
How were those raspberry pancakes? The Pistol cams worked great..Pistol is having a blast in her trailer! Too cute! Love the bike trail videos..keep em coming. That rooftop bag was a great investment..you guys stay safe. Love you!🥰
😃😃hi guy and gals! You've been very busy! Happy for you that the waterproof bag is just that. Amazingly lucky it is a perfect fit on the roof. Another lucky find is the raspberries🤗🤗. That run of yours Dave was hilarious AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Good job Irene to fast forward that lol. Love your instagrams. Got a sale coming up any time soon? I have room for one or two more to stuff in my vagabond jar especially that long slim one😉. It's not easy but if you do another long haul bike camping gig I look forward to it and will wish great food places along the way.😃Pistol you are the best travel buddy, rub rub, rub. Carey on🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Looks like you got the eclipse sun shades for your windshield ! hope you like them ? I had a cargo bag like that , waterproof for a while , but then not. I would use large plastic construction bags and pack everything in them , enclosed in cargo bag : problem solved ~peace~

We’ve heard about that ride. People really seem to enjoy it. For now we are sticking to off road rail trails. Who knows about the future though🤷♂️😉😁

I`m amazed how steady the pistol cams are.
There were definitely better than I thought they would be! I’m gonna make a couple adjustments and recheck.

Well everything was dry not a problem. Pistol was happy on his ride. You ran up and down that Hill several times. Now time for some scones.
