My understanding is press hold after I set the temperature, gives me control. Because this thing has a mind of it's own which freezes me at night and is too warm in the daytime.
@@julieburd1656 got a nest thermostat instead. Not only is it easier to program but the tech support is great. Can also control it on my phone from anywhere and there are a lot of videos here to answer your questions. Also saves me money! Also love how it learns my routine. In the winter I set it to turn on a bit before I get up so the house isn’t cold and then off right before I leave. I do the same before I get home. It’s all worth it and they should be on sale right now. Either way, good luck and happy holidays Just checked it $179, normally $250 at Lowes. This is for the 3rd generation thermostat like what I have.
I still dont understand. I have this model and basically I want it to not run between 1230pm-830pm during the week. I want it to kick on at 830pm a half hour before I come home. How do I do that? I have done the settings but set it for 1130am to test an the AC still kicks in when the temp gets over 72
Hi. I have got the same thermostat. Anybody know alternative, Smart thermostat which will be compatible with this one, old one…? Someone replaced this in the past…?
Ok this officially the most confusing thermostat I have ever used. I called Carrier to explain to me how to simply set it to keep my heat at 50 over the weekends and then run normally during the week. They could not help me. All I want to do is have the heat at 50 all weekend long. Well you cant set the temps for just the weekends like on most other units (which is way easier to do and understand). You can only set temps for the HOME AWAY SLEEP buttons. So I understand that you can set PERIODS for just say weekends. Ok and then I associate home away and sleep button to those periods, but then what about the TIMES? Do I leave them blank? Do I set them all to the same time? Does it even matter what the times are? The instructions say NOTHING about doing this. Anybody?
I simply want to change the fuckin temperature of my office thermostat, I can’t get it to go down in temp when I open it, it just has a lock symbol and two separate numbers that do nothing. I can’t even turn my ac down it just is set to 80 degrees and it won’t let me turn it down
i hate this thing so much wtf why would u need to set so many specific times and 15 min intervals ??? what happened to just setting the temperature to the temperature u want and changing it when u want to change it!!!!!!! this is in my apartment or i would rip it off the wall and shit on it
We absolutely HATE this thermostat, it was in the house when we bought it. HATE HATE HATE it.
Me too it's terrible
Same here. I can never get it set for the temperature I want

Can’t see a thing you’re doing. Fantastic
Thank you for this video! It helped me tremendously.
Thanks, finally found a vid explaining the hold
Mine is set to 75 and it is currently showing the temp as 80. This thing dint make sense.. its blinking down arrow makes me think it’s not working..
So I get the set schedule periods but how do I tell it what temperatures I want it to be between those periods?!?
Same problem!!!

It would have helped if the thermostat was in focus and there was no background noise!!!
How do you reset? Or How do you unlock setting?
What does it mean when ur heat comes on and stay on for like 3 mins and shut off

Who in Hell made this video? Could you have been any less informative? Why is there so much back ground noise? Not very Professional.
@markmanning totally agree, this guys is awful
Do you have a video showing replacing the Battery in this model. I don't know how to remove this unit from the wall to change the batteries.
I just pulled it off
