I love hostels. I meet the best people from all around the world and learn tons of things regarding their home countries.

I adore hostels. Viajero Colombia, especially in Medellin, was soooo cool. The one in Bogotá had the vibe. But Medellin was almost a zen. I really enjoyed them!
Hostels are my husbands and I's preferred accommodation 😂❤

Rule number one, do not tell people where you're staying. Hey Internet, this is exactly where I stayed.

It's about not telling people while you're there. Don't put it on your stories or posts if you have a public profile, don't tell people you meet out while there unless they're proven to be trustworthy or it's an emergency. Once you're home you can go all out about how great/bad the place where you stayed was, but not WHILE you're there.

If you’re already gone it’s not dangerous to tell people where you USED to be 😂 critical thinking

Honey you said it urself USED to be, she ain't there anymore, lots of influencers and celebrities will post about a vacation and where they stayed once they left to avoid creeps showing up but so they can still share the experience.

Literally what are you yapping about? You can tell people where you STAYED ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ My only danger is a time traveler bruh 😭😂

Remember that if you’re not trying to suffer Montezuma‘s revenge you will want to avoid drinking the water and that includes the ice in those drinks. Also, drinking with people you don’t know is never a wise idea. Stay safe.

True! However all of the ice I had was good ~ they use premade filtered ice at most places. But def did not mess with that water, not even shower or toothbrushing water!

Camera ception since she’s videoing a camera and the camera is recording back. Infinite loop

Don't stay in hostels... cameras may aid in solving a crime but will do nothing to prevent it

Yea, a thousand other security measures + common sense do that. Hostels are remarkably safe and can be wonderful places to stay, but just like everything else on the planet it's going to vary, and you need to do some due diligence and plan accordingly to travel safely.

@@purenupe1 more like a recommendation to not discount hostels as a viable option, with a friendly reminder to do your research and to implement personal safety measures to keep you safe during your travels! ...but if you want it to be a challenge..sure! Go see the world my friend!

Very true ~ There's nothing that makes hostels inherently more dangerous. In fact they attract a *completely* different crowd from hotels all together ~ and that comes with added community. You can also read reviews on HostelWord for added peace of mind. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
