Just got 2x in the mail today & will produce many videos about this product.. Great review you made here... Thank You - I bought a voice amplifier 18 watts so people can here me & bought an external microphone to bring sound in from the outside.
I was thinking the same thing. Of course I’m not sure how much feedback you will get from the external speaker and mic. I guess it’ll depend on the placement. I would probably also put in an extra fan for cooling.
@@fastfoodrocks - My new one has 2 fan settings low & high - Also mine can be charging while using the fans on both settings & that is a big plus... I'm going out & shop today to see peoples reactions while filming it...
From what is said, with your ear pieces inside the helmet it is like phone peeps trying to get to know you or call ya but you can hear them in the helmet.
Great review. I prefer this to the pro ones with a ton of fast cuts and loud music. I think I know which alternative you’re referencing. I pre-ordered it. I’ve also ordered the Air and own the BioVYZR. My impression is that they’re for situational and primarily indoor, not recreational use. Also a shaded version of the Air is under exploration.
Thank you Lillian! I saw some BioVYZR reviews and it seems more unwieldy than the Air. Kind of funny how some reviews’ noses got smushed against the clear front.
Yeah, I saw their tweet about various color tints, but I hope it's not a shell that just fits over the existing dome. The helmet is heavy enough as it is. I'd much prefer a vinyl wrap that you can carefully squeegee yourself with the help of a hair dryer to make the material more compliant and reduce bubbles. Ideally it would also be easily removable. Also, the folks who did the LED light strip mod are dope as hell!
@@fastfoodrocks Thank you for the video.About the helmet the real question is how (on the long term) will it be on a person health? I mean, is it really good to have a high capacity battery next to brain for hours every day? What is your opinion on the theory mate? Cheers!
@123OGNIAN the battery is not large at all and is more toward the cheek area. There is a good gap between the battery and your skin. I don’t think batteries have been issues in terms of damage to the brain. It’s usually been with phones and their radio signals. So I don’t see it as a problem unless the battery explodes near your head!
I really appreciate all the honest feedback that reflects an “integrity-type review.” My daughter n my situation is a bit complex meaning that we r what internet jargon terms, “zebras.” Bottom line, we have CVID and are overseen by specials at Boston Hospital. If u look up CVID or zebras, u’ll get a hen scratch idea of what exactly we live with. In short, I’ve yet to find a depiction of us. Basically, there’s so many variables and yep bizarre mutations and manifestations. I in particular, am prime research material, being of severe case and age. So, long story... my questions: Can this be purchased for $200? Would such be profitable for a child to wear an entire school day? My daughter gets sick constantly when she was attending public school and lost the most number of days than any kid from being sick. Since I took her out of school and have been isolating due to Covid, she has NOT been sick one time in an entire year this March. Opinions anyone? Thanks again so very much.
Thanks for your input. It’s no longer $199, they increased it another $100 a few months back. Also, the longer you wear it the more you feel it pressing down on your head and neck. For a child to wear this all day would be very difficult.
fastfoodrocks thanks for ur insight. We likely will remain in our self needed quarantine for quilt a long time before Covid has been cleared out. So, realistically was just searching for something that would safeguard short jaunts out to be around family or close friends for a brief visit but even that will be several months down the road. Keep us all abreast of any upcoming technology n Covid safety inventions w you terrific reviews. Tc
@@catyogadance1714 I appreciate your feedback. Definitely there are new mask technologies and designs with COVID. This is one of the better ones but it's just not for everyone and for all circumstances. If you don't need to talk or hear anyone, it's great. I need to engineer this to be able to hear people better and for them to easily hear me in order for this helmet to be any real use to me.
@BARRYBOND SF Giants, looks like UA-cam took out your thread. Let me just say this, I know the percentages, and I agree with you. Problem is, even though I've also told people the stats, you'll always have those who don't care and give a lot more credit to the disease than it warrants. Some of these people are your friends and family. For the sake of being considerate and decent, I wear a mask where I am required to. Also in terms of this Microclimate, yes it didn't quite meet my expectations for my use, but if I knew I were going into an environment with people coughing and sick, I'd rather play it safe and wear this than get very sick. The way you made your point just sounds very immature...perhaps it is because you are. Also, to call someone names just because they buy something you don't agree with either means you really want one too but are too poor to buy it; or you think anyone who isn't a clone of you in likes and dislikes is a "retard".
Eyy man, jerks will always exist no matter what. You just have to ignore them, rather than waste your energy to give a sh*t to them. Great review btw ! Hope you doing well ! 👍

vinta.co/collections/active-shield-collection These don’t have intake and exhaust fans like the microclimate but they told me they are coming out with a model that does have it. Apparently though there is an anti fog coating so it wouldn’t necessarily need it. We’ll see.
@@TheLillianYoung Let's hope they can deliver! I really hope they come out with one that has input and exhaust fans because even though the visor has a coating to prevent fogging, my glasses do not and most likely they will still fog up.
It depends on how long the flight is. You start feeling the weight of this helmet after some time. IMO you’d want to get more padding for the top of your head. According to Microclimate they’ve successfully been able to use it on flights tho I don’t know the percentage. I’m going to try next time I fly out to CA.
I’m bummed that mine doesn’t fit well. It feels like I need a small and am wearing a large so it moves around. I know it’s a one size fits all, but this is one case where it doesn’t. Otherwise, I like it.
Totally hear you. You essentially have to put your own padding in there so it fits better. Like I mentioned I only use top cushions for now. As long as my head remains upright, it works and is fairly comfortable.
I saw that too. It looks like they will send it to you for free if you fill out some form. At least that takes care of the issue where your head moves side to side or up and down.
I was aout to order two of these helmets aka Star Wars thing so when my Partner and wore them, makes peeps think, are they misguided from a Seminar or they just clumsy. LOL. Thank you for your honesty.
I ordered my AIR in Oct and received it in December also. I like it so far but had to put bubble wrap in to make it fit better. Supposedly there are two speeds for the fans. I can’t find out how to change the speed. How do you do it? I looked at the switch but there are not two settings. Just “on” and “off”.

How long the charge lasts depends the speed you're running the fans at. I found high speed it runs about 5 hours and low speed it lasts about 8 hours.
