As a retired Owner Operator from Henry ("Hank") and the Highway Hiltons era.. starting ten years prior actually, to when Henry bought the "Hilton"..... THIS COMMENT IS DIRECTED TO - all the "nay-sayers" and "experts" out there, who really have no understanding about the subject at hand and have nothing better to say then something negative or worse.... and what I point out about Henry and his famous "Highway Hilton" KW.... doesn't even begin to cover All of his accomplishments and honors garnered from many different venues over the decades of his trucking career. When you attain the stature and become as well known and honored in the Trucking Industry, Various Highway Safety Programs and through the National Highway Safety Council and numerous movies, TV Appearances, Driver Education programs, more magazines than I can remember now (Over 200), and newspaper stories honoring him... as "Hank" and his famous KW has.... Then, "Maybe"... you would be qualified to pass judgement on this very Internationally famous truck, and its owner. By the way, to those who think his truck is "ugly" or "looks like crap"......his truck with all the "crap stuck all over it".... has won well over 120 trophies plus many other awards at truck and even car shows, from all over the US AND even Europe!! Back in the day of Real Trucks and Truck Owner-Operators (and drivers,to)... this KW and Henry ("Hank") were Nationally and Internationally - Legendary. When was the last time that YOU and Your truck (completely owned [re: Paid For] by You) nationally recognized by the US National Safety Council? When was the last time you were honored (more than once) as Owner-Operator and/or Driver of the Year? When was the last time that KW honored You by doing a complete FREE restoration of Your truck, just because of "who" you are in the trucking world, and recognized as the "Ambassador" of Highway Safety and Goodwill to the public at large? Kenworth even produced a film, featuring "Hank" and his world famous "Highway Hilton". When was the last time that Detroit Diesel completely Replaced your engine.. FREE.. for the same reasons as stated above, plus for having put over a Million miles, on the original engine assembly and in collaboration with the "Hiltons" full restoration project? They not only replaced the original 435hp 8V92T, but they replaced it with a 475hpTA then upgraded it to 500hp. When was the last time that you and Your truck were invited to do European (multiple) Tours of at least 7 countries... and even to Russia (which was canceled due to "politics" at the time) and invited to participate in Truck Shows in those countries as well European Trucking conventions as a guest and speaker? When was the last time that you and your truck were invited by numerous school boards in numerous states to come and speak about highway safety to the kids and adults alike.... as Henry ("Hank") has? It's easy for folks to pass judgement on others when you're hidden out of sight, but maybe you should know a little more about the "subject" before making statements that are seen by those "out there" who may be intimately knowledgeable about the subject you're passing judgement on based ignorance... just plain arrogance, or a combination thereof!!...... and THAT, applies to many different scenarios and subjects here on YT, Not "just" this particular video and subject.
