Thanks for donating this truck to the Iowa Trucking Museum! It was my favorite truck in the entire museum. Something about it just makes trucking look fun. It felt like I was looking at your good old memories.
I saw Hank a few times when I was trucking. You couldn’t miss him. A little too much gingerbread for my tastes, but to each his own. I think I remember he was pulling with Caretta out of Paramus, N.J.
I remember looking through my dads trucking mags when I was a kid and seeing your truck. It's so cool to see it on UA-cam, take care nice to see hank again 30 yrs later.
I remember reading in Overdrive How Hank shipped his truck to Germany. To experience what it was like over there. Always enjoyed passing this truck ob the interstate.
Hi Hank, I remember you from the days that I worked for Carretta Trucking back in the eighties. Some of the best times I ever had in trucking. Kevin and then Larry were the best dispatchers I ever had.
@@specialk5243 I remember Charlie his name was Liamia or something like that. I'm sure I spelled it wrong. I first worked out of Paramus and then I transfered to Fontana.
i love your truck hank that kw 100 E is beautiful i seen this when i was a kid in the early eighties in a truck magazine thanks for the videos and i am now a trucker cause you inspired me at an early age thank you hank
I have a picture of this truck at the Wall of Berlin. I bought it at the Louville Kentucky Truck Show about 15 years ago it's one of my favorite pictures of all times
I saw Hank 2 on Interstate 80 and I felt like that kid that was watching trucks go by my grandparents house. Thanks Mr Goode for keeping the dream alive for me
Looks & sounds like Your ol' Gal just needed to be started and driven again..... You should enjoy it👍🏽😉 I hope my ol' 49' International log truck restoration goes as planned and that truck happily rolls.
An icon. I hope old Hank is doing well these days. I saw the H.G. on a company truck last year in the New England/ Upstate New York area. Must've been old Hank.
@Brian Yott there's only one TTT truckstop in USA Tucson AZ. Back in Old School days it was one of 2 BEST truckstops in AZ. Treated me like a Queen full service at the fuel island, clean my windows, filled pressure, ✔ oil, fuel filter, bug gut removal, top notch. Inside jacuzzi bath omg it was fabulous! Home cooking large portions too.
Beautiful Kenworth man , we here in Australia still builds those cab over K-Series up this date , they are the number 1 truck in Australia, they are the best truck in the planet for sure !
I remember seeing this truck on the road here and there back in the day. Man truckin used to be so much fun. I remember these days well , back when the old Stony ridge truckstop in Toledo OH still had the swimming pool outside..grills going live band inside. There was many a late load on Monday morning.😃 I feel bad for the new breed, they'll never know how much freedom we ve lost.
@K L oh heck yes some of us Old School Trucker's are still out here 39 years remembering the good ole days helping everybody sticking together jawing CB. Run barefoot across REOgrande. Triple digit 3406 CAT hammer down west bound blow your doors off. C'mon
Nice looking KW. I've seen that truck somewhere back when I was trucking. It's got the same Paint colors as Carretta Trucking had Years ago.I used too drive for them...
I remember back in late 1980's at a Truck stop in Arizona. The owner of on of the BJ and the Bear Kenworth trucks was parked in the lot. Hank pulled in and persuaded another driver to let him park in his spot next to it. The owner of the BJ Bear truck came out and asked Hank to "Get your Pile of Shit Bombay Trinket Truck away from mine".
Boy oh boy that is some truck I would love to have one just like that one day I'm in the Poughkeepsie area would love to see that thing Roll by someday
There used to be one like this near me (not as blingy) that just sat for years in a sideyard next to a house. I think its gone now.. But it was just sad to see it sitting..
I have seen this video years ago and back then I didn't know how to subscribe (haven't got youtube account) Today in the morning sudden memory appeared on my mind so I searched and finally found it. Now I see there is a lot of videos and photos on facebook about Hank. Greetings from Czech Republic.
My Dad was a long distance truck driver from the time he graduated high school, until 1990, when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis from being exposed to Agent Orange, when he was drafted into the Army, and sent to Vietnam. The truck in this video looks very familiar for some reason?
@numptybaws3 I was defininitely thinking about it, but after all the resistance I'm getting from my present employer about getting dispatches to or near shows, I might keep Hank 1 a while longer, and take him to shows in stead and park Hank 2 home while I'm at shows with Hank 1 . Besides how would get home.
We still built those Kenworth K-Series Cabover in Australia, they are the best looking trucks ever , check Collins transport from Adelaide, South Australia they have 90++++ of those in immaculate conditions like showroom new , they have detailing work shop inside they truck yard to maintain them like new ...
Hank - if you are still there. How long has this BEAUTY been sitting there doing nothing and earning nothing ????????? This is a Working Man's DREAM !!!!!!! And you let it sit idle for God Alone Knows How Long !!!
Good to see Hank1 back on the road.. You should drive some miles every week to keep the batteries charged and not getting the brakes stucked again..Andy
I know where Hank is now, as of this past March he was sitting in the Iowa 80 Truck Stop Museum, and it wasn't even 10 miles down the Road and I seen Hank 2 going West on I-80.
My Dad he was a truck trailer driver too wen't i see this Video. you remind me wen't i was a kid i go his truck but he don't know im inisde becouse if he know im there he will not allowed me to come with him so what i think i go inside so i can come with him to his work im so happy wen't he start the truck without notice im inside haha after 3hrs he found me im so afraid i thought he will hit me using that belt he wearing but instead he smile at me and then he ask me if i eat i said no dad so he buy me food that day i will never forget.
The amount of fuel your Chevy used there in idling and trying to charge those batteries would be enough to drive my Chev half way to where i work ! One thing though Hank, you sure got your exercise today by climbing in and out of the cab . Hahaha
Drove an astro then 9670s. Liked the never went back to a cabover. Probably never will. Had my brains beat up by them for years. Now I kinda want one to tinker with.
Shame to hear Mr. Good a.k.a hank passed on...Hope to get to pass thur the area and stop to see this ol unit w. my favorite diesel engine of all times 8v-92 silver Detroit...

Hank's KW was a little overdressed for my taste, but it was one iconic and recognizable trucks on the road.
its a European thing.
Maybe, but old Hank is right here in the US. I met him once when I was trucking and saw his truck several times.
Got to see this truck at the I-80 trucking museum coming back home from Christmas vacation.
An icon. I hope old Hank is doing well these days. I saw the H.G. on a company truck last year in the New England/ Upstate New York area. Must've been old Hank.
