These Radicals are top 10 best racquets of all time IMO. Liquidmetal series in general was probably one of the best “technologies”ever created IMO too. I always loved the feel and playability of the Liquidmetals. Even the headshape is perfect. I just thought these sticks did everything solid which leaves most of the tennis up to you. It for sure needs some customization but that’s another great thing about it since it’s a nice platform stick.
December 2023 intrigued by your comments, I searched and found a Radical liquidmetal mp frame at a ridiculous price. After a month of playing..... damn you're right. Exceptional racket! Comfort, control, power and even a little spin. my problem? Impossible to find something similar in any brand
Preferred the i.Radical, Flexpoint Radical, and Microgel Radical. Didn't realize at the time that they were all actually 95sq in. Hated that Head completely changed the mold when they introduced the Youtek Radical.
Yes!!! this Head LM Radical deserves still so much love! a masterpiece! it feels so smooth in the arm (comfort), but with a little crispy feel (direct feedback!) when hitting and if you can hit heavy strokes it is a quite good weapon (spin). In relation to new radicals maybe missing some power! (but easy solved with a more powerful string e.g. Luxilon Alupower 1.20 not more than 23/23kg(23/22kg. even possible with 22/22(22/21kg) I prefer even 24/24kg after 2 weeks the tension is perfect;) also a Hybrid with Luxilon Elements on the crosses? worth testing out;) The Head Radical OS (130 head instead if 95 inch2 head has "similar" characteristics. but more for the twohanded backhand, while MP ulis perfect for onehanders;)
I'm not sure if you've heard of him, but a fairly popular player named Novak Djokovic plays essentially this racquet leaded up to this day. Whereas Agassi never competed with this racquet at all. The frame he used is in a completely different class of racquet, as you alluded to with the head size.
Yes, thank you for pointing that out. I believe Agassi used the Head Radical Tour Trisys oversized. and not the liquidmetal version. My earliest memories of watching him play, his racket was painted to look like the LM. Oh yeah, I think I heard of a guy named Djokovic ... lol
Thanks for this video! I’ve played with my friends LM Rad, and the sensation on contact is probably the sweetest I’ve experienced. Which would you say it’s the closest frame today to the LM Rad Mp?
360+ Prestige Pro (or 360+ Prestige Tour if you want a bigger head). It’s not exactly the same, but it’s about 3/4’s of the way there in feel. There’s nothing else in HEAD’s present line up that feels remotely close to the LM line up.
I know these are editted clips, but you certainly looked the best playing w/ this old frame regardless of how awkard the grip may have felt. Did you ever try the 107" frame? I wonder if that would be a great doubles/kick serve frame. For me though I love the Auxetic feel and the Prestige Tour has given me my best results in tournaments and league play even though it is small/underpowered. Granted mostly doing doubles due to a calf tear.
Thanks for your video. Have a question, i still have this racquet but i'm looking for a new one, which one would you advice ? I play for almost 30 years, i like power but also precision :)
Unfortunately, nothing on the current market will play exactly like the LM Radical which is a shame. I loved this racket. But if you like power and precision, maybe demo the new speed pro. I found both in this racket and it's currently my favorite racket.
@@opencourt808 Thanks, i'll try, i was on the radical MP 2021 or 2023, i think it's both raquets with a nice balance between power and precision too, do you agree ?
Better results from Liquidmetal Radical MP would be extra lead-tape at 12 o´clock, 3 and 9 o´clock and inside the handle to balance-out. Get it up to 340-345g, 330SW. Best results would be to get the Liquidmetal Radical _Tour_ MP and you´re just blasting people off the court...
I bought a Head Liquid Metal 8 racquet - a tweener model. It is 27.5" long and the head size is 112 sq. inches. It's the worst racquet that I ever bought. It is very stiff and unforgiving. Its balance is slightly head-heavy. The only thing it's good for is hitting slice on every shot including forehands and serves.

Yes you are Correct! OLD racquets are still Best compare to all the Crappies their made and Marketing nowadays Head, Wilson, etc.
This is perhaps the best racquet ever made. Ever! Seriously.

Still gaming the Radical Tour "Zebra" in 630 18X20 and PT630 18X20.

Awesome content! I still have my Liquid Metal MP from back in the day. I might have to pull it out for hit.

One of the last if not, the last generation of radicals that were made in Austria

@@opencourt808 so IMO, Djokovic is this racquet mold's biggest claim to fame. What do you think?

how about the microgel MP 😉
Unfortunately, I've never played nor do I own the Microgel version
Novak uses the MG mold
What’s your current racket of choice?
Probably the Head Graphene 360 Speed Pro. Although, I'm contemplating switching to the Boom Pro or the Extreme Tour
Singles perhaps?
