Every year on the last Sunday of May the capital celebrates Kyiv Day.
This year the holiday fell on May 29.
Officially, the year of Kyiv's foundation is considered to be 482. So in 2022 Kyiv will be 1540 years old.
Volodymyrska Street is considered to be the oldest street in Kyiv, over 1000 years old.
