Haha same! I have already read the books but forgot heaps. I had to delete a lot of my essay after realizing that what I had written didn't even happen in that book but the second one
Thanks, I have school tomorrow and my teacher only gave us two weeks to read the whole 375 page book, of course I didn't finish it. So once again I thank you.
Alby and Newt are one the nicest people I knew in the glade who helped Thomas And Thomas seemed the only normal person in the glade which made it very relatable to understand from his perspective
tysmmmmmm now i dont have to read an audiobook everyday bc its world book week and my school forced me to read a audiobook every day until friday and on friday i have a quiz or smth idk. now i can watch smth throughout the week. :))))))
Bro I read it in three days for pleasure when I was supposed to be reading Gatsby for school. This book is freaky man. The themes of us needing to make moral decisions even though our world is ultimately controlled by someone else is really poignant
Also, that was really good. I hope this will become a regular series on your channel. My literacy class is reading this, and the video really helped! I was surprised how small your channel was, you should get more popularity than you do now!
Thanks a lot! This is my first video; I've just started out with this channel. More book reviews will be up soon so stay tuned! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!! -Brad
saraina lepley Thanks for the comment! I like to think that symbols are present in nearly all literature. Symbolism is what makes books, and other pieces of art, go beyond surface level to create a bigger picture/story.
At this point I'm not planning on making a follow up video to this one, or the other books in the trilogy. Thanks for watching and commenting though, I'm planning on making more videos soon! Sorry for the late reply, I've been on an extended hiatus because of school/work. -Brad
:steamsalty: why not "Department of Experimental Life In General Harshness Tests"? When an acronym makes a word, people generally pick the word first and then fill the acronym
Because the 'Killzone' is another term for the brain, which is what they are testing and is a semi-important term throughout the series so it is understandable why it is put it in the title. They are seeing what different experiences and emotions do to the brain for reasons that are explained in the second and third book. I'm pretty sure it's explained a little bit in the Scorch Trials movie, but I can't remember. Also, WICKED, in my opinion, sounds better than DELGHT. Though, your point is true and the acronym was most likely thought of first.
Sharnay Thwaites from a scientific perspective, a "killzone" refers only to the brain when it is the target of a weapon or other tool and it is only one of several killzones, so it still doesn't really make sense even in that context
I was going to sub until I saw your subscriber count and your last posting... then you start talking about 12 year old boys dying... I online game all the time 12 year old boys are the bane of my existence. now I'm trapped in between two choices. sub or no?

is it me or does this movie remind everybody of fallout
Same, 3 years later

the book sounds better than the game, but the villainous group is literally called "wicked"? Seriously?
+SurrealKeenan True lol
Wicked stands for " World In Catastrophe ; Killzone Experiment Department"
:steamsalty: why not "Department of Experimental Life In General Harshness Tests"? When an acronym makes a word, people generally pick the word first and then fill the acronym
