I've a couple of questions. Why would I want to have a server rather than playing on Single Player? Are there too many differences? Is there an advantage by playing on server? I hope you (or anyone) answers the questions :3 thank you for all the tips!!
The big difference is that the server will keep running while you're offline (preserving bins, compost bins, etc will craft, dinos will lay unfertilized eggs, crops will grow, ...) while your single player I'll only progress while you're actually playing. I personally prefer to play with other people on servers. But that's up to everyone.

I put my metal base right beside there. I call I Fort Iron. It’s awesome. It’s so great, I decided to just live there despite the dangers of the redwoods.
I'm on this EP, but currently on game, I'm still looking for my pteranodon lol. It seems so easy on vid, but when you don't have enough experience, even walking and finding a good level dino is a hard and scary task.
I usually carry the anky out to the metal area, I try to pick a base spot within easy fly distance. Then I fill the anky with as much raw metal as he can carry, then carry the full guy back with a weight bird. If you smelt it in the field, it weighs full amount to carry back, where raw in the anky, it gets the weight reduction.
Next step: Gasbags can carry a lot more than an argy. No reductions, but MUCH higher raw weight stat. Mine has 5.1k . Cryopods to shuttle the harvesters, and Bob’s your uncle. :3
@@pjmoran7092 You are correct, they must have changed it at some point, the argy didn't used to get a reduction on ingots. I know I have used a smelt base, with the transport crates to move a large load of ingots before, that works well too.
Hi, I am very new to ARK. I have a question the hill you fly over at 1:37, in my game there is no snow there. That's actually were my base is and it is wicked hot. Can games spawn differently or am I missing something? Cheers.
Great guide bro I just wish you would’ve shown the map locations after cuts but I’m able to start putting together locations based on what the surrounding areas look like now lol. I've got a similar setup on my private server, but i upgraded mostly speed and stam with some weight. To get to each node faster since I'm not using him to fight. I found a FANTASTIC spot for a base nearby that is rich in water rocks and low danger. On a hill with a river just South and a small ravine on the other (good for traps), and a forest at the other side of the ravine (great wood/thatch source). The volcano and snow biome are just far enough away that you won't see those creatures unless you cross the river and walk a little. Into the woodlands (redlands?) I built at the back or highest point of the hill and managed a fairly large space then surrounded cliff with railings and the front with dino gates. Anyway, fantastic range of dinos in this area most dangerous (though not common) are Therizino's and Alpha raptors, though they never go near the hill my base is on.
It's just a "cheap and easy" way to save yourself a bunch of work. The gates keep everything out and it's less work to place them than surrounding the entire are with walls for example
I mentioned this in the bird taming video but if you are on official PVE you can’t pick up Wild dinos, this is so that people can’t troll and drop wild dinos in other peoples bases

I tame my Ankys (If There is a good one) on Herbivore Island. Its just The Savest Spot to taming Stuff

Dennis Bryant argies still get the 50% weight reduction on the ingots so if you smelt it out there and bring it back in just the argy you can fit more

If you are desperate of metal just hit regular rocks but if you have time to travel then traveling is better

Can I get ur sever breeding rates and ur link of gaming evolve is not working I would really appreciate that.
We put a lot of time and work into figuring out our breeding rates for them to be perfect. So I'd rather not just give them out tbh.

What is the spark powder for?
Spark powder is used to make gunpowder later on, it’s used to power preserving bins and it’s a fuel for furnaces and campfires etc
To get mine I shot im with a tranq dart and wait for it to take effect

I use a metal pickaxe and pick at every stone I see and just get stone and flint -.- is the snow area where there’s good amount of metal at?
There is only metal in rocks that have a gold tint to them
Also rounded rocks on beaches. At least that's where I get my early metal

I just got a bird like you have, but was unable to pick stuff up. On PC it's right click on the mouse right? Just wasn't working for me.
