You just saved me a tow to the dealership and trying to find a ride home from work. It was a 5 minute fix it in the parking lot of my work. Thanks soooo much!!!!
Anybody know how much this typical repair costs? Our rod popped off and it was east enough to put back on, I’m just worried that it’s a bigger issue than I’m seeing. Nothing looked outwardly broken and I was able to snap the rod back on but it kept popping off the more we moved the gear shift
That happened to me few months ago. But now, the selector lever moves freely. It's still attached on the tranny. I believe the plastic bushing wore out on the selector lever. I can't find any video on how to replace it. Anybody have a suggestion?
Yeah, you can do it yourself, especially if the plastic connector itself isn't broken. You can get just the little plastic insert that goes inside the end of the plastic connector. It usually just snaps in.
Thanks alot! I was able to buy a little bushing repair kit for only 14.99 and was able to fix it in about an hour (thats because I dropped my socket lol).
@@clovershield36 Omg, I hadn't thought of that. I just tried it and..Yes it worked. Thanks a bunch!! You the Man! And you just got a new Subscriber. I'm sharing your channel with all I know. Take care.
ive never had a vehicle this bad before . mine is the AWD 05-07 Buick Terraza, Chevy Uplander, Pontiac Montana. i liked the 99-04 but these 05 - 07 are very bad. i still haven't figured out how to turn the volume down on the binger. stupid thinning to put through the speaker system. i absolutely hate this van !!! and now my exhaust was knocked off of the header and i cant figure out how to get in there to fix it. i think the motor has to be pulled out. *sigh i think im going to drive it off a mountain... then boycott these companies products .... very sad
I've had the same issues plus so much more in my 06 AWD Uplander. The car not starting because of the dvd player, the side doors opening by themselves and I'm on my 3rd transmission. What a POS!!!

what if its connected and still the gear shifterstill feel like its not connected to anything loose?
Is it relatively simple to replace that plastic piece yourself or would u recommend taking it to a shop?
Yourself.

I see where ur talking about. But I'm in gear 3 and the rod is too extended to reach the snap? What can I do please?
Hi. Can you just move the shifter inside the van until the rod reaches the snap?
