Riggs clearly battles a lot of demons and if anyone reading this or watching this video does too, you are not alone. This time of year can be hard if you don't have family, close ones or friends. But please Talk to anyone, never underestimate your absence would leave 116 123 📞 Merry Christmas guys ☃️🌲
I remember in the cinema the fight sequence at the end of this lasted about 10 minutes but every version I've seen since has cut the crap out of it sadly. Great movie though. On a side note this looks like Richard is broadcasting from The Matrix......
Seems to get forgotten about in the whole 'Die Hard is a Christmas Movie' annual debate but [like a lot of Shane Black films] is also set at Christmas and came out the previous year. The ending ties the theme together [with Riggs invited to be part of the family].The partnership of Mel Gibson and Danny Glover is perfect.
I definitely saw this one first because it was one of those infamous edited-for-ITV versions we had on tape. And once again the word "airhead" gets used.
2 is clearly going for more of a Beverly Hill's cop feel with more comedy but is a fun time. 3 and especially 4 are diminishing returns but watchable. A 5th film seems to have been teased for ages but isn't needed.
Danny Golver lists a bunch of facts about Mel Gibsons history like military background, martial arts and concludes "I suppose we have to register you as a lethal weapon". I think that makes the title work. But it only really worked for the first movie before they switched tones to a comedic duo thing
I do like Lethal Weapon it seems to be a bit of a common theme In 80's action films Christmas as a setting well Gremlins was an 80's film and Batman Returns was in the 90's along with two other Burton films Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas. I mean yes Home Alone films first two are Christmas films and Trading Places Christmas and New Years Eve. So maybe I'm referring more to Die Hard as an action film set at Christmas along with Lethal Weapon. The sequel to Die Hard is set at Christmas I believe. I don't think I saw Lethal Weapon 2 all the way through and seen bits of Lethal Weapon 4 as a kid.

For me this perfect in the Back to Future, JAWS, Die Hard, Predator, Terminator sort of way!!! Best buddy cop movie!

Obligatory supportive comment.
(I haven’t seen Lethal Weapon 😬🤫)
There are times where I prefer Lethal Weapon to Die Hard and vise versa. Regardless, both are Christmas action movie classics.
Awesome! (Benny Legend)
Will your commentaries be available on some sort of "podcast streaming service"?....like to listen to you in the dark
Please try to explain "Rush Hour". There is one scene in the first film in rush-hour traffic, and a villain uses the phrase then.
Gotta love Lethal Weapon! 2 isn't bad either. 3 and 4 I can take or leave.
4 is great

Hey Warner Bros, give us an official release of the trailer music.
Lovely early Christmas present. Thanks chaps.
Aren't all weapons lethal? Hence them being...weapons?
You can use a teddy bear as a weapon. That ain’t lethal tho.
@@AsparagusVideo It is if you stick a grenade in its rectum.
