@@dotslasherit seems they dedicated a lot more room to the longer hood (for looks and maybe to have usable frunk) in the Q6. All of Audi’s EV SUVs are too close in size.
Charge port on Left side in a German car!! Finally!! They have listened Bjorn!! That makes it now part of my list of future cars when my MY lease ends. 😊
the funny side of the review is that björn expect in some situations a feature or a premium feeling and doesn´t get it. 🤣 And then he can´t react like normal because of Harald. 😀
The charge ports are brilliantly located, left side for DCFC and AC charging and right side AC charging, which 9 out of 10 times is the correct side in RHD countries.
Right side for AC is even worse than DC. How big garage do you have? 1 m spare for every car? You have to get out of the car from the left side (wich is the right side), than plug it in on the other side (which is the wrong side). punktum/finale
@@andreasbingkilvr6662 My garage is the street, as is the case for 90% of city dwellers like me. Also, in my country (NL) there are lots of cyclists who will pass the car on their bike on the left side. This is the case in many towns in Europe. Therefore, the right side is really the right side!
In Poland, if you want a frunk you have to pay an extra PLN 2,400 zł. which is about 600 euro. There is no manual battery heating. Haptic buttons work like in VW, why so much piano black
I'm a big fan of the Tesla ecosystem, and still believe that is the best so far, but man, the Germans are cathing up. The build quality is amazing, and not just Audi also MB, BMW and VW. The 21 min to do 20-80% is amazing. Of course a 800V would be good, but I think that Tesla could unlock more power on their vehicles, at least until 50 t0 60% the speed could be higher. Good looking car, but the economy must be not so good. Let's wait for the test drive review. Good Work Bjorn and Congrats on Axel birth!!!
The economy won't be good like in more aerodynamic cars. But that aerodynamics comes with additional length which is not always welcome. If you want the economy but also have the premium feel - ID7 is the good option. It has consumption comparable to much smaller Tesla Model 3 (per Battery Life tests)
I wanna see the A6 e-tron. The weird thing is that the Q6 is the EV version of the Q5, which is the SUV version of the A4. So, theoretically the A6 should be more expensive and more premium than what's essentially an A4.
I used to be an Audi fan but wow they have gone downhill. The interior with all the plastic touch panels should have no place in a an Audi. An Audi A3 from 2014 with S-line had more premium interior than this and A4/A5 even more so.
First deliveries to customers will begin in the 3rd quarter (August/September) of this year. You will still have to wait for at least 3 more months for a proper test. I would pick the Q6, is way more efficient, faster charging and more or less same comfort as Q8 if you pick the air suspension.
Audi is definitely not back! The quality of their materials and the technology is not worth the price they ask. If they can sell the Q6L in China for 48 thousand, I want to buy it in Europe for 40.
Finally an electric car with multiple charge ports. Now all that is needed is same features in all charge ports and also one in the front, so 3 in total on the same car. That way it doesn't matter how awkward charging stall you visit when you have plugs in all the convenient places. And you would also get redundancy for winter incase one charge port freezes badly.
Bjorn thank you for this!!!! We have been going back and forth between Q4 and Q8/SQ8 etron. - definitely preferred the Q8/SQ8 etron as we got a great quote on the SQ8 for Q8 price but very torn on if we should wait for the Q6. Was hoping the backseat would be the same, but looks like it's less than the Q8/SQ8 etron. Not sure what to do. Hopefully once you drive it you can compare to the Q8/SQ8 etron
If you can’t beat them - join them. I was a 2-time Audi client and I am pleased to see they are going in the right direction. I own. 2020 Tesla Y performance and will replace it in 2025. Audi will be on my short list.
Sadly in the UK they have nerfed the Q6 - there are no luxury features like acoustic glass & air suspension as shown here. Unless you spring for the SQ6 at £95k...
There seems to be little choice on the UK Q6 configurator for anything. This seems a trend with many new cars of late but Audi seems to have taken it to the extreme here.
Waiting for your review before I pick between a used etron/Q8 etron and the q6. Q6 looks more my style but if it’s not as quiet/comfortable I’m out. I want a limo
brake pedal is not thick, it is a sidewall on the left side so nothing can slide directly under and completely stop you from braking. All hail lord Björn
There is no need for a charge port om the left side. It is adjusting to the fact that Teslas charging stations. In a country driving on the right side it is very important for the electric revolution to happen to enable street charging, not saving five steps fast charging because Tesla did not consider that.
E-tron Q8 ftw, if you are paying cash it costs from 55k EUR in Austria, so it is a bargain. Yes, it is an older platform, it consumes a lot of energy but it still looks good, a real Aufi, Q6 and Q4 look just like economy boxes, should have a VW/Skoda badge
valla oto güzel para olsa alınır anma bizim hoca bozuntusu sakın görmesin illa bundan diye tutturur zaten kurbana bir şey kalmadı bu seneki kurbanlar buna gider..........
Sadly again a crossover. EVs shouldn't be high and fat. Crossovers are inefficient. Make stations, sedans and hatchbacks. nobody needs a stupidly high car. And if you can't get in, lose weight, get fit or stop driving
It has a start engine button and haptic buttons on the steering wheel. For those reasons alone I'd never consider it. These old manufactures need to realise what an EV actually is and stop making bad decisions when designing them.
Sorry, but this is no review nor a good video. Bjorn is talking about minor details but misses to note the important differences and improvements of the Q6etron. He is not driving it, so he has no experience about the real behavior of the car. And the rushed camera movement makes me sick.
Classic Bjorn - "Blinkers, but its not needed" LOL
Specially the smile of the director as reaction to the expression 🙂! I think he is Norwegian, but his reaction is typical Audi German.
@@4baertjes he is like "been there, done that" 😁
Note to self. Q4 has noticeably more room in the back than the Q6! Good work Bjorn!
yeah how does that even work lol. The Q6 is bigger and has the bigger wheelbase. The director was cheating a bit

Agree. And on top of that the pricing of Q6 is ridiculous. I am not sure if it is worth the upgrade from the Q4.

What is it with all the hate in the comments? I'm not particularly fond of Audi, but realistically this seems to be a pretty solid car.

Yes the q4 has more space in the rear. But you should have tested the mid seat in the q6. It is a total disaster, no space for the feet…. 😮😮
I like the new interior, every model should have that screen. Even the entry model GLA have a panoramic screen.
