Awesome reaction and she has 5 Originals! "What Is Life", "Oslo", "Shield" and under Republic Records 2 others, "Million Miles", dedicated to her Grandpa who had previously passed away and "7th Heaven", a message to everyone, under any circumstances, give up on your Dreams. The Emotion she puts out is just unmatched. An example, is her cover of "I Have Nothing", she dedicated to her Grandma on her concert on 7 July 2022, for her Grandma was ill and couldn't travel with her. It is really amazing her talent at such a young age, even supercedes Michael Jackson. Even though he had the skill set, the maturity sounding like an Adult wasn't, God Bless!
I discovered Angelina by accident at about 2:30 AM one night when sleep wouldn't come. I was an instant fan and only wish I could stay around to see her in ten years, but I'm 77 and I can see the end of the road from here, Oh well, I'll enjoy her while I can.
Well, it's obvious you're blown away by Angelina's unbelievable talent like the rest of us are, but wait, she has another trick up her sleeve now watch her version of "HOW GREAT THOU ART" and prepare to pick your jaw up off the floor!
Angelina Jordan Astar! It's always a pleasure to hear this young lady. From the first note, she pulls me in and takes me to another beautiful place. And i cry because it's so beautiful. How can it be that a young girl does that to me, an old man?! It makes me happy that I live in a time when I can still experience this genius. And it saddens me that I probably won't be able to see her at the height of her creativity again. I have never heard such a singer/performer in my entire life! Her voice touches my heart and cleanses my soul.
In many of Angelina's covers, she will pay tribute to the artists of the songs she covers. In this one, she is extending homage to Elvis. She also does her arrangements or, at least, has very much input into the way her music is done. In this case, she departed from Elvis by slowing the tune down and singing it in a way the lyrics actually ask for. Elvis made it a virtual pop "dance" tune even though the lyrics are a sad, emotional and heartbreaking tale of an impending breakup and lost love. Angelina sings the song as it should be performed. This was Elvis's last number one song. In this video she is dressed as Elvis was in his " '68 Comeback Special" TV program. Leather from top to bottom. Her hair is done up in a "bee hive" style that Elvis liked his wife Pricilla to wear. The red guitar is a contemporary Hagstrom reproduction of a 1967 Viking II. Elvis had borrowed it from Al Casey, one of the session musicians of the Comeback Special band. The original guitar recently sold at auction for over $660,000. The piano and mic are like the ones in the Sun studio in Memphis, where Elvis started his recording career. The piano player is Rob Christie, a studio exec at her label, Republic Records. The young girl(s), Angelina's relatives, are a nod to Elvis's and Pricilla's kid, Lisa Marie, may God love her soul. The last segment of the children shows Angelina's sister, Juliette, as a 9 year old Lisa Marie. That was how old Lisa was when her dad died. There is a short segment of Angelina reposing on a couch. She is wearing mismatched shoes. One is blue suede, yes? Many of the antique shop artifacts, particularly the old red fabric chair in the background seem "fit for a king". The artistic production may have been by her executive producer and grandmom, Mery Zamani. Mery is a well known artist from Iran who had her hand in other Angelina artwork, including the outfit Angelina wore on "AGT the Champions" show, and the artwork on Angelina's first original Republic video "Million Miles - lyrics version". With a little help from her friends (and family), Angelina is leaving a profound legacy in the world of music and art. She is "ASTAR", literally and figuratively.
A very common comment from Angels is that with her covers we hear the words for the first time. Even after years of listening for years. She is an artist.
"So talented, So marvelous, So proffesional....her voice is one of a kind. Only Angelina Jordan can give us such a majestic rendition. There is no one better than her. Thanks"
… ELVIS and ANGELINA... my absolute favourites!! … What a great tribute to the King! Elvis would be honored and speechless 😮!! … I can't even describe how incredibly good these two are!!… Phenomenal!! ✨💎✨ 🕺🏻🎸🕯Thank you
What I love about this performance besides it is very beautiful singing, is that I feel the lyrics finally match the melody ❤️ She is something special ❤️
Rob Christie Playing Piano: That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision.
Lady "J"... Loved your reaction, your comments are spot on... I appreciate your honesty... Surrounded by beautiful cut, colored pieces of glass, hanging on those chandeliers, sparkling, in the bright light... This is what Angelina does from the moment she walks out, and her voice, her light fill her rendition... Captivatingly STUNNING... Please check out her original song, STUDIO VERSION, of "7th Heaven" for a taste of her favorite genre... You know what to expect, but be delightfully surprised at how vastly talented she is.... Beautiful... Again, loved your engaged reaction, genuine, honest, sincere... That's what a reaction should be!! 💕🎹🎹🎶🎤👍🏻
What a great reaction to(16) Angie. We love it when coaches go nerdy about Angie. I love all of Angie's nods to Elvis, also his wife Priscilla (hair) & daughter Lisa Marie & Angie growing up too. Here's an original from Angie she did live this year in concert in Norway. “Million Miles” by Angelina Jordan ua-cam.com/video/joKQeVbThzE/v-deo.html Live 7-7-22 at Kongsberg, she's 16. (Angie wrote this after her grandpa died in 2019 during the filming of AGT-C) It's amazing. In fact all 4 of her versions are great. Here's the other 3. “Million Miles” by Angelina Jordan (official lyric) video ua-cam.com/video/NhKRh5ZtuWkt/v-deo.html She started to write it at 13 after her 2nd grandpa died in Nov. 2019 & she recorded it at 14 then released on 11-6-2020 “Million Miles” (Official Live in Studio) ua-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/v-deo.html Angie's 14 and her video released on 12-16-20. “Million Miles” (Official Music Video) ua-cam.com/video/XA1_CUaM52I/v-deo.html She released it on 1-28-21 at 15, Angie did the sketch for the video on how she wanted it. (These links are all from Angie's channels.)
WOW WOW Angelina Jordan is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances
Jacqueline, By Sep 15, 2022, already over 1 Million UA-cam views since June 22, 2022❗️ Angelina starts off with the bridge, completely different than anyone else; and then, begins with the opening line of the song. Her Beehive hairdo is an homage to Priscilla…Many photographs of her hair, exactly like that. And a Leather outfit he later wore. The guitar is the Elvis‘s 1968 “Comeback” Guitar! Rob Christe actually owns this. The two young children are her cousins, her Uncle Michael’s children, the older girl is her sister Juliette. She even had a framed photo of Elvis, at this location. Rob Christie on piano ok.🌸
This is simply one of the most impressive performances I have ever seen, so powerful and stylish and oozes class which of course Angelina is and beyond. So pleased you are doing more of her songs.
Absolutely amazing performance from are musical genius, Angelina has some originals from the age of 12 years old, but when Angelina signed with Republic Records age 14 years old she has an amazing original called (Million Miles) which is absolutely amazing, Angelina wrote recorded and performed Million Miles as a tribute to her grandfather who passed away and to anyone who has lost someone, there are 3 versions all versions are amazing my favourite is the studio version, great reaction thanks 🙏
Lots of singers can sing loudly or softly -- dynamics. Many can convey emotions. I have never heard a singer produce such dynamics and so much emotion as Angelina does in the start of this song. Her Million Miles is a great original.
Thank you so much for a Wonderful reaction! She’s absolutely amazing! I have seen her live this summer, and believe me she was so stunning magical. 👌💫😀❤️
Angelina obviously has many gifts, the voice, her interpretative skills, storytelling, songwriting, stage presence, confidence,But she is also a relentless hard worker that collaborates for good advice and makes wise choices. Thanks for that beautifully passionate reaction, loved it.
Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. If you haven’t already reacted to her latest studio of Whitney Houston's version you should - here’s the link - ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html 🙂
La maravillosa Angelina Jordan. Elvis Presley debe sentirse muy orgulloso y agradecido por esta maravillosa interpretacion de " Mentes Suspicaces " su gran exito.
Hello, Jacqueline. You are part of my birthday celebration today. You'll love this cover. I love the fuller voice she has now at 16 years old. Yes, rich. Yes, she has done her own music, and more is expected on the album due out next year. She opens up the story and lays bare the truth. Her approach to this song is brilliant. Thanks for this reaction and blessings on you and your thing. Grandma Ellen, over and out. 💜
Angelina`s own music is splendid. You have some greats to get into right there. Angelina stated early (at about 8 yo) that singing is like breathing to her. I like to understand that as it is both as nessesary to her life as breathing, and that is comes as naturally to her. As Angelina pick up all these classical treasures of music, from any point in musical history, she breathe new life into them, and makes them great and relevant for new times and new generations. As Angelina breath - the magic happens. ☺
Angelina is absolutely A Marvelous Singing Savant. Would you please consider doing a reaction of her at 9 years old The black and white version of "I put a spell on you" You will be more blown away by her Rendition of Screamim Jay Hawkins cover.
My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust.
Larry, I agree. My minds eye sees the lyrics she sings. She sings with total honesty. I think Elvis was thinking the opposite. It was Priscila, stop nagging me, you won't be happy with your suspicions, all the while he's being seen with many many women and he's only human. He sang it like, Priscila, don't think about it, it will destroy both of us. I so much more prefer Angelina's beautiful rendition.
@@dsgp7835 well put here. Love comments to this song and I’ve read them all. Top 10 here. I grew up loving Elvis . The king. But he was human as we all are. Love is a game for fools, as Adele’s song says so well.
@@dsgp7835 All fine to guess what Angelina wants the imagery in her video to symbolize or what Elvis may have thought when singing. (In the filmed Las Vegas concert, Elvis kind of desecrates the lyrics with a comment about telling the truth most of the time.) Mark James wrote the lyrics, and some of the backstory that inspired the story has been documented.
@@dojoswitzer Mark James wanted a slower more sentimental tempo. Elvis singing in a faster more aggressive more demanding beat tells me plenty. "Stop your suspicious mind". Your correct, we as listeners interpret lyrics in our own way. That's the way I hear both versions.
What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs.
Thank you for returning to Angelina. Your reactions to her performances are always worth watching. The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).
Elvis Presley and his producer Felton Jarvis cleverly covered this *Mark James song from 1968 in 1969* , Elvis' last #1 hit in the US and #7 of his most successful songs. Felton Jarvis took the original arrangement completely and pushed the song with more speed and additional instruments (wind instruments, violin etc.) and a spectacular backing choir (in the studio version) and of course with Elvis Presley's voice. Pianist Rob Christie changed the musical arrangement and Angelina the vocal arrangement, but she didn't change the lyrics. Angelina changes the lyric structure, starting with the bridge and giving the song a different meaning. Once again many people don't hear and understand the song until when Angelina tells the story. 💯 *AJ* 💯👣
I think you can understand why so many of us know that Angelina is the best singer we’ve ever heard. What you saw today is what Angelina does across five or six genres: her unique arrangement of a classic, her technical vocal ability, her absolute confidence, her easy musicality, her stunning voice, and her interpretation of lyrics that goes from her directly to each of us. You used the word “mesmerizing”. It’s amazing how often people describe Angelina’s voice with that word. So even though you loved this, there are so many more songs with entirely different styles where Angelina will stun you. To see Angelina in a completely different mode, try her cover of Adele’s Easy on Me. You’ll see again how Angelina can make you forget the original. ua-cam.com/video/Mpw5Q76hWWE/v-deo.html
The republic records she sang with him at 14 first so she released was million miles your tribute to her grandfather who passed away She just finished a concert my wife flew there in alilly hammer it was great her voice is wow people came all over the world here are saying many countries
It sounds like you are throughly hooked. Welcome to the club. I hope you continue to react to her music. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Even if you pick rather same song but sung at different times. You’ll be surprised how she changers them each time. ❤
This is the first reaction I've heard from you, Jacqueline, and I'm happy that I did. Angelina has a number of originals. There's a good interview and performance of her original, Shield, which could be a James Bond soundtrack, her song to her deceased grandfather, Million Miles, and her jazz/swingy piece, Seventh Heaven. These are in order from oldest to most recent. For Million Miles, I would suggest the studio version, over the finished music video, just my opinion, of course. Enjoy the journey. We'll be cheering you on!
She’s something special, isn’t she? Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on U-Tube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani. She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Her tribute to Elvis is at her present age, today, each stage represented by her cousins and sister and ending with Angelina herself on the couch still admiring all this history surrounding her. The beautiful rendition of the song, and other tributes are in the leather outfit, Guitar and hair a tribute to Priscilla. Just my interpretation but it makes the most sense to me. ♥👣👸🏻
Angelina is always taking things up a notch and this in no exception. heard it many times with reactors and it brings tears every time. I have watched this performance many times doing various reactors post . One of them mentioned all the plethora of symbolisms Angelina and her Grandmother Merry had in this video. They are both extremely artistically creative. I had only noticed up until then only the trappings that reflected the tribute to Elvis and his '68 come back tour. However after that comment I began to see things in the lyrics that, whether on purpose or just providence, that were quite astounding. The four scenes of the little girls all wearing the white dresses, some say are a metaphor of Angelina's rise to stardom and the fulfillment of her life time dreams as a very small child, of which she has fulfilled 99% them quite quickly in her short time here and I quite agree with that observation. But I began to notice something in the words of the song as each scene of the little girls in white dresses girls were shown, which was seemingly planned by some one for sure. The first one, a very small baby sitting in a big chair in which she no doubt could not get out on her own and she was grabbing something with her left hand that looked like some kind of restraint to hold her down from falling out . The lyrics sung for this scene was, " Caught in a trap" The next one shows a little older girl whom evidently who just learned to walk and was kind of unsure of her steps walking and the lyrics sung " I cant walk out ". Then the next one shows the little girl spinning around and kind of looking around and the lyrics " Why can't you see what you are doing to me" . Then the scene changes to show a little older girl going around with her head up and looking around, you can see her hair is not as curly as the previous little girl who spinning around before. ( P.S. this third girl turning around and looking up may have well been her little sister whom was sitting in the chair at the end of these scenes). Then there is the much older little girl (her sister) in a white dress again sitting in a chair as the baby was in then first scene , she was looking down and raised her head as the lyrics said, "when you don't believe a word I say" and then she raises her head with a smile as if to say with a look I don't believe what you say. Angelina and her Grandmother are Rembrandt's of video and and Angelina of vocal artistry .
Very nice reaction. My interpretation of this video. Visually, Angelina growing up growing up with the classics And showing homage to Elvis with her And the piano players outfits. Vocally I think she's singing to her critics about the music she sings because they say she's too young to feel it.
Yes, she has 5 original songs written or co-written by her & a couple of others written for her as the original singer. Her latest 2 are, Million Miles, about the loss of a loved one (her grandpa) written at 14 & 7th Heaven, a jazzy/pop song about never giving up on your dream & living life with hope that she wrote at 15. She sang both of the songs at her summer concerts in Norway. A TV station followed her with some behind the scenes talk, as well as both of these songs. The video is only 9:38 sec, so easy to cover in a 2 for 1 reaction. The songs are totally different one makes you cry & the other makes you dance. ua-cam.com/video/HKK66K5u1Fc/v-deo.html
Angelina's music and who she is as a person, has improved the quality of my life. I will do my best to live as long as I can to be able to experience all the great art Angelina will provide.
Hi Andy i hope she will outlife us greyheads by decades... it will be very important that someone will take good care for her security in future - there are so many mental unstable people out there - i remember this one girl on AGT whoes career starts after and she got shot during a Autogramm hour - dont want to think about such things but as this is my business my mind goes there and i cant help it - Angelina is my Granddaughter by heart and i want her music be played at my funeral
What a wonderful tribute to the “King.” She’s reviving the “old” and making it “new.” I love how she began this song with the last verse first. It reminds me of a T. S. Eliot quote…”What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.” This girl is a genius. IMO she is the greatest vocalist in the world.
The Hagstrom Red Guitar used in this video is a modern up to date copy of the one Elvis used in 1968. The Hagstrom Red Guitar belonged to musician Al Casey, a member of Elvis’ backing band during the special in 1968. According to an accompanying letter from Casey, he was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they "thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set."
Elvis Presley’s 1942 Martin D-18 acoustic guitar may have recently sold for $1.32 million, but fear not - another of the King’s axes, this one his cherry-red Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, famous for its use in the legendary '68 Comeback Special, is hitting the block. The semi hollow instrument is a highlight of Kruse GWS Auctions’ Artifacts of Hollywood & Music auction, which begins on March 27. It's being offered with a starting bid of $250,000. By Matt Owen published March 31, 2021. Now, it has been confirmed that the legendary semi-hollow has been sold for a whopping $625,000, with the proud new owner of the lot managing to outbid six other plucky bidders to get their hands on the prized piece of music memorabilia. The ‘68 Comeback Special marked Elvis' return to live performance after seven years spent focused on acting in Hollywood films. The televised concert, which launched Presley's return to live touring, featured him playing the Hagstrom for the opening segment as well as during one of the live "stand-up" segments.
I really hope that Hagstrom is lighter than the Hagstrom Sweede solid mahogany ( Les Paul style guitar). It was so heavy I had to take it to gigs on a flatbed semitrailer by itself. OK slight exaggeration...But truthfully , it was so heavy, I couldn't play a whole gig with it. Had to swap back and forwards with my Strat for some relief. Fantastic tones though.
AJ ability to speak to you on such a personal level as a artist and performer is what makes her so special, her rich voice with all the emotion is always amazing .I was waiting for you to react to this and you didn't disappoint
You are great! I love your reaction! I'm very happy I found your channel. You are an expert and know what you are talking about, AND you are very likable.....Thank you!
Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another masterful performance by Angelina - this time with her own reinterpretation of this Elvis hit song. Definitely a family production - the Executive Producer Mery Zamani is Angelina's grandmother, the 2 young girls are her cousins & the older girl is Angelina's sister Juliette. Great tribute to Elvis - Angelina's beehive hairdo is reminiscent of Priscilla Presley & her black leather jumpsuit & red Hagstrom guitar are what Elvis wore & played in his "Comeback Tour". You asked about Angelina's original songs. I recommend Million Miles which I believe was her 1st release with Republic Records at age 14. There are several versions available (animated lyrics, live studio & the music video). I highly recommend the live studio version. After reacting to that, you might also want to react to her live in concert version at age 16 - "Million Miles - Live at Kongsberg 2022". IMHO her best yet. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
Thank you, Jacqueline .. regarding her original work .. there are various covers that were like totally new songs after she put herself into them. This is one of them .. another is I Put a Spell on You. But there are five originals you can look up: the first one is WHAT IS LIFE? .. a lovely and rather tender way she is looking at life and her place in it ... next comes OSLO, about the city where she was born. The next original she wrote was SHIELD, which I love and I think of it as a prayer .. very beautiful. Then, after AGT, came MILLION MILES .. a song she wrote for her dear grandfather, who she really loved .. he died almost two years before she dropped this and it was when covid was already underway and many people around the world were dying .. and she dedicated the song "to anyone who has ever lost a loved one" .. (I recommend the live studio version of this .. all three versions are amazing but the studio version is magnificent. That was also her first drop after joining Republic Records. Then she did 7th HEAVEN, a jazzy, cool song with some positive comments about life (also here recommend live studio version). Do enjoy all of these .. they are a stunning group of songs.
Fantastic reaction one of the best singer's in the world love and respect from the UK 👍👍👍👍👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing 👍 have a look at Jimmy Barnes and Joe bonnamassa stone cold it's fantastico 👍
Angelina has several original songs you may consider. 1. What is life, her first original at age 12, has a piano jazz bar vibe 2. Oslo, age 12 live, about her hometown in Norway 3. Shield, age 12 live indoor, has a James Bond vibe 4. A million miles, age 15, dedicated to the loss of her grandfather, ballad 5. 7th Heaven, age 15, and upbeat jazzy pop sound dedicated to never giving up on your dreams Angelina also produced in studio to Adele songs that are stellar! All I ask, age 14 Easy on me, age 15
Hi, a new subscriber here from the Philippines. Love your great reaction to Angelina Jordan, a great and very talented singing artist for one so very young.Angelina is one of a kind. We also have young Filipina singers and there's one who is very popular on UA-cam due to her singing style and choice of songs she renders. Pls try to react to Gigi de Lana's singing Through the Fire and Better Days . She is worth watching and you will be entertained. Thank you.
Barefoot is indeed her signature:-) Do you know the story behind it though? At age 6 she met a poor girl in the streets without shoes and scars in her feet. Angelina gave her her shoes and has performed barefoot since in remembrance of that girl and raise awareness for poor kids. Elvis' version was a cover as well btw. His version was masterful example of showmanship. I do feel Angelina's version is more melancholic and fits the story better. Because it's a sad story when love is beginning destroyed by distrust. With Elvis I always wondered how distraught he was being caught in an inescapable trap:-) Edit: you asked about originals. She has 5 originals written by herself and two more in collaboration. If you want I can make a list.
Others have said the little ones are a reflection of Angelina growing up...notice they all wore the traditional white dress Angelina always wore when younger and now all black for this one...
my suggestion would be the leaked vid from when she was 10 " I'm still holding out for you", what she does whit her voice there again is very different from what you have heard before.
Yes, AJ performs her own music. I encourage you to check out her recent live performance, in Norway, of "Million Miles": ua-cam.com/video/joKQeVbThzE/v-deo.html. She wrote this song for her grandfather when he passed away a couple of years ago.
Hello JVB, reat reaction, as always. Love your seemingly honest enthusiasm and appreciation for what all good artists do. It's such a great gift to receive, isn't it? Yes, AJ does write her own music (Lyrics & Musical Compositions) and there are a few songs for you to discover. There's one piece (Song for Annie) which has even been specifically arranged for her by an Argentinian artist. What a great tribute to an already risen star. Her own songs, though, don't have those deep and perhaps even negative experiences as yet, but, she does succeed in showing a song in its best light. Love your reactions... Bravo!
@@103mrg My sincerest apologies. I mistakenly said it was an Argentinian artist, when it actually is an Italian born, Russian Composer Nico Cortosio. Do forgive..... Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/v-deo.html Enjoy all that AJ gifts to us.....
Spot-on comments: apart from the beautiful, so-rich voice she is a great performer... a great singer-story teller - she seems to have been born with that ability to perform - you might try one of her recent live performances next as her interactions with the audience are developing wondefully... for example Million Miles (her original song) as performed live in Norway on July 10th (several recordings on YT, eg ua-cam.com/video/clH0PC4PEPQ/v-deo.html )
The girl is just the best
Angelina Jordan is my medicine to my ears
Angelina is simply the best
I put a spell on you.. 10 yrs old and AMAZING
I discovered Angelina by accident at about 2:30 AM one night when sleep wouldn't come. I was an instant fan and only wish I could stay around to see her in ten years, but I'm 77 and I can see the end of the road from here, Oh well, I'll enjoy her while I can.
Angelina Jordan did this to republic records if she signed your day to 14 they’re happy to have her
Well, it's obvious you're blown away by Angelina's unbelievable talent like the rest of us are, but wait, she has another trick up her sleeve now watch her version of "HOW GREAT THOU ART" and prepare to pick your jaw up off the floor!
Er du den musikeren alle i Norge vet om ? :)
Thanks"

Of course I have heard the song a thousand times. But that is the first time I “ heard “ it ! 🇨🇦❤️🙏🇺🇦

Check out her live version of Mount Everest!!
What I love about this performance besides it is very beautiful singing, is that I feel the lyrics finally match the melody ❤️ She is something special ❤️
Indeed! Elvis version almost sounds angry. Angie's version does fit better. Much better.
7 to 16 AJ is the best thing that has happened to the music industry in my 75 years of listening to the greats.
The happiness this girl brings to the world is in one simple word......UNMATCHED. We're so lucky to cohabit this planet with her.....
Rob Christie Playing Piano:
That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago.
Her voice comes in like a tsunami! I love peoples reaction to the beginning as her voice penetrates everything and through every cell of your body.
Lady "J"... Loved your reaction, your comments are spot on... I appreciate your honesty... Surrounded by beautiful cut, colored pieces of glass, hanging on those chandeliers, sparkling, in the bright light... Angelina dropped another original May 5th 2023
"Love Don't Let Me Go" must hear
Saw her live July 10th this year. She was amazing! Better live than in studio. Her own songs are phenomenal!
She does have her music one of the best ones is the one she wrote for grandpa that passed away "Million Miles"
Just continue doing what you are doing and we will keep on watching, liking, & commenting!
her voice fills up the room and my heart.
Your words are beautiful. Thank you. 🙏🙋♀️👏💕

Angelina obviously has many gifts, the voice, her interpretative skills, storytelling, songwriting, stage presence, confidence,But she is also a relentless hard worker that collaborates for good advice and makes wise choices. Thanks for that beautifully passionate reaction, loved it.
As always, Angelina delivers the meaning of lyrics with her unmistakable gentle power.
If you haven’t already reacted to her latest studio of Whitney Houston's version you should - here’s the link - ua-cam.com/video/iX0g99jN26U/v-deo.html

Happy birthday Grandma Ellen!! 😍🙂
Happy Birthday, Ellen Elizabeth Mae!
happy birthday and a big hug from Germany
@@jojow.2158 , aww, thank you. I love a hug from Germany.
JVB...Great review! Angelina's ability to be a storyteller from the beginning is her true gift!
My thoughts exactly
He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."
Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat".
The republic records she sang with him at 14 first so she released was million miles your tribute to her grandfather who passed away
She just finished a concert my wife flew there in alilly hammer it was great her voice is wow people came all over the world here are saying many countries
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
melrose antique and art gallery in either west or north hollywood... angelina's family are friends of owners. mery and sara designed and built set...
The lyrics sung for this scene was, " Caught in a trap"
The next one shows a little older girl whom evidently who just learned to walk and was kind of unsure of her steps walking and the lyrics sung " I cant walk out ".
The best at present.
Awesome pick for her live performance showcasing two of her orginals.
Angelina has 5 originals My favourite is Million Miles for her grandfather who passed
Angelina's music and who she is as a person, has improved the quality of my life. I will do my best to live as long as I can to be able to experience all the great art Angelina will provide.
Hi Andy i hope she will outlife us greyheads by decades... it will be very important that someone will take good care for her security in future - there are so many mental unstable people out there - i remember this one girl on AGT whoes career starts after and she got shot during a Autogramm hour - dont want to think about such things but as this is my business my mind goes there and i cant help it - Angelina is my Granddaughter by heart and i want her music be played at my funeral
listen to her sing her song Million Miles....in studio Live....black n white fantastic
We grew up with Celine dion, Mariah, and Whitney, now heaven has delivered us Angelina to bring us home.

@@gregjetnikoff7124 The model used is a hallow body.
@@larrypifer1103 Yeah I know. I just wondered if Hagstrom made all their guitars heavy, even the hollows and semi hollows.
Loved your reaction so much, she's just so good, look forward to more ♥️
AJ ability to speak to you on such a personal level as a artist and performer is what makes her so special, her rich voice with all the emotion is always amazing .I was waiting for you to react to this and you didn't disappoint
Angelinas goalwas never to be a child star, but she want to be a super star when she was grown up
Fantastic reaction one of the best singer's in the world love and respect from the UK 👍👍👍👍👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing 👍 have a look at Jimmy Barnes and Joe bonnamassa stone cold it's fantastico 👍
Angelina has several original songs you may consider.
1. What is life, her first original at age 12, has a piano jazz bar vibe
2. Oslo, age 12 live, about her hometown in Norway
3. Shield, age 12 live indoor, has a James Bond vibe
4. A million miles, age 15, dedicated to the loss of her grandfather, ballad
5. 7th Heaven, age 15, and upbeat jazzy pop sound dedicated to never giving up on your dreams
Angelina also produced in studio to Adele songs that are stellar!
All I ask, age 14
Easy on me, age 15
Hi, a new subscriber here from the Philippines. Love your great reaction to Angelina Jordan, a great and very talented singing artist for one so very young.Angelina is one of a kind. We also have young Filipina singers and there's one who is very popular on UA-cam due to her singing style and choice of songs she renders. Pls try to react to Gigi de Lana's singing Through the Fire and Better Days . She is worth watching and you will be entertained. Thank you.
AJ just kills it every … single … time.
That’s all.
Wonderful
Her mother said in an interview should release a new album sometime early next year maybe
Thank you, Jacque for another lovely reaction!
Awesome reaction! Want to hear the versatility of her voice? Please react to AJ covering Gloria Garner's I will survive. 10 years old!
With Elvis I always wondered how distraught he was being caught in an inescapable trap:-)
Edit: you asked about originals. She has 5 originals written by herself and two more in collaboration. If you want I can make a list.
Others have said the little ones are a reflection of Angelina growing up...notice they all wore the traditional white dress Angelina always wore when younger and now all black for this one...
❤
my suggestion would be the leaked vid from when she was 10 " I'm still holding out for you", what she does whit her voice there again is very different from what you have heard before.
Beautiful!
She does write music, here is a link to one she wrote about the loss of her grandfather. ua-cam.com/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/v-deo.html
Yes, AJ performs her own music. I encourage you to check out her recent live performance, in Norway, of "Million Miles": ua-cam.com/video/joKQeVbThzE/v-deo.html. She wrote this song for her grandfather when he passed away a couple of years ago.
amazing performance....AMAZING..........
Bravo!
shihan Do you have a link for "Song for Annie"? Who is the Argentinian artist?
@@103mrg My sincerest apologies. I mistakenly said it was an Argentinian artist, when it actually is an Italian born, Russian Composer Nico Cortosio. Do forgive.....

Enjoy all that AJ gifts to us.....
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spot-on comments: apart from the beautiful, so-rich voice she is a great performer... a great singer-story teller - she seems to have been born with that ability to perform - you might try one of her recent live performances next as her interactions with the audience are developing wondefully... for example Million Miles (her original song) as performed live in Norway on July 10th (several recordings on YT, eg ua-cam.com/video/clH0PC4PEPQ/v-deo.html )
The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins - and the pre-teen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette.
