Hi Tom and family Paphos old town dose look like a lovely place to have a look around by the looks of it with some nice shops and restaurants to go into
@yvonnetitterington3675 was nice to be fair, it was something different to places we had been before. I should have done some research before we went so I knew where was going 😀
Nice to see you again Nutters! as I’ve said before I’m in Cyprus 🇨🇾 once a year and hope to meet keep it up with the content regards to family stay safe 🙏🍻🙏
At about 7.15 in the video, there is a little side road you pass on the right - just up there is our favourite restaurant, Laona. Votsi is the road name. Very traditional and was reasonably priced - at least it was when we lived there just over five years ago.
@@NuttersInCyprus I was there pre cap st. George, used to cycle through the banana plantation to oniros by the sea , we lived behind the sunset cafe in sea caves /st.George
Welcome to cyprus my frient you and your family is the way of life here you cant avoid it put on some weight, when i meet my wife she is irish she was so skinny now leave with me in cyprus with my mom cooking all the time she is overweight but i still love her, i wish you the best for you and your family.
The ice cream parlour you were in used to be a bar owned by a friend's cousin. My friend has a chippy in Hazel Grove and he said go and see my cousin and say hello. We spent ages trying to find it and it had changed to that bloody ice cream parlour! A warm night last September, needed a drink not an ice cream so we went to the craft bar around the corner.
@@NuttersInCyprus I saw in one of your other videos that you worked in Acton Court. They used to have a singles night there and I met my wife one Friday at one of them.
@@NuttersInCyprus I am indeed. We are intending to retire to Cyprus in the next few years. We were there last week but it was a bit of a rush as I did some stuff with ex-Army mates one day and a few nights. We are back again in April.
If you could can you plz do a video about how you go about moving to Cyprus like your lawyers and over stuff as I am thinking of retiring in Cyprus for better weather for my health plz mate
I will put something up mate when I get a minute. I'm going to have to start talking with people to find out some info before I send them to my lawyers, as I have sent some people and they dont meet any of the criteria, it might be better for me to get some basic information before sending them his way lol
15 August is an important holiday in the Greek Orthodox Church commemorating the death of the Virgin Mary and her assumption to Heaven. Shops and businesses vary in the amount of holiday they take but August is normally the month that Cypriots take annual leave. x
Thanks Jeanette, helpful as always, it's fairly similar to Portugal the way they operate over here with the religious holidays! I don't even know what day it is, never mind which holidays it is lol
Mezes are usually too big for us. We tend to use peyia tavern as our go to place and just order what we want and can handle the food is very very good as is the family. Very friendly amiable and great hosts
@luken2135 my mates daughter is playing for Paphos girls apparently, apparently she gets €5 pocket money for every goal she scores 😆 🤣 she was telling me all about it yesterday!
@Louis-b7v was £1750 + some change, you can fill the car up to the brim with stuff. But you and the car have to meet certain criteria to bring it over tax free and duty free like I did.
@@NuttersInCyprusAh yh k mate nice one for letting us know, I'm in the middle of applying to get a family of descendants form (M123) hopefully next year will be out there with my wife and 3 little ones.
@@Louis-b7v I know for me on the Pink Slip I had to own the car for a certain period of time, drove a certain amount of miles, import it within 12 months of my immigration appointment.
Lol, we can strike some sort of deal 😄. I'll prob just sell the motor then before I come with my motobike and other bits, the car is only a couple of grand. Lived in south London my whole life and bored of it I've had anuff of it here, not comfortable with my kids going secondary school here either.
@davidreiling7144 that's the 1, we did a random pull over, tried order the Mese for €19 each, he said its too much for you, I'll do you 2 halves... I'm glad he did!

We was there for two years in 2009 30% of those shops were empty and derelict, good to see them back in use .
Thanks Tony, I didn't know that, I assumed it must have been recent. Lets hope for 100% open rate
