Paddle boarding Miami - To Stiltsville from Key Biscayne

On a sunny summer day, we paddled from Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park in Key Biscayne to the Stiltsville, featured in the famous 80's series, Miami Vice.
A few tips if you plan to paddle or kayak there:
1) Bring tons of water, a flotation safety device (pdf), a cell phone and snacks
2) Go on a day with less than 10mph winds
3) Go at low tide with the tide coming in. You don't want the outgoing tide to carry you out to the ocean.
4) Launch from the kayak area halfway down the beach north of the lighthouse.

it depends on the tide... u need to leave when the tide is coming in so u don't get taken out to the ocean but into the bay.
