New subscriber here after watching several of you videos. I appreciate the detail that you put into each guitar that you review, which helped me decide on getting the Seymour Duncan Alpha/Omega set for my 7 string.
On another note, the beer samplings near the end are awesome. I'm a fan of delicious craft beers myself and living in Northern Colorado provides me the opportunity to try out so many awesome brews! Fantastic comment about pumpkin ale haters too, as that goes for so many styles of beer as well.

Hey man, appreciate the reviews, really helps out. Your opinion on the PRS SE Holcomb was spot on, I absolutely love it, but tuning stability is horrendous.
Anyway....I'm in the market for a 7 string, I really love the 20in radius the Holcomb has. Is there a guitar you'd recommend that is similar specs to that one? (at least in terms of sound and what not) If they made a 7 string version I would buy it immediately. I mostly play metal, particularly progressive metal. Love a guitar that does clean tones well too.
I've never been much of an Ibanez fan, I do really like Schecters. I wouldn't mind trying out Jakes Ibanez JBM27 if I can find one locally.
If you have any suggestions it'd be much appreciated. I'm trying to stick around $1500 or less.
    Thanks!

Great review dude! Would you get the ESP E-II Horizon FR-7 model over this one if you want a Floyd Rose system for a death metal guitar? BTW love your commentary on brews as well. Great review. I just got an LTD EC-1000 ET on boxing day sale and I am really blown away by the guitar. The neck and fretwork really shocked me. The fretwork is ridiculously well done for the price point. If you want to just slam the shit out of your strings and play the most brutal breakdowns the ET bridge is perfection haha.

hey man, great review! I have 4 evertune guitars at the moment and I swear by them. You are right about the noise, though - it can be a pain. I've noticed it's far worse in one than it is in the others...kinda weird. I get similar noise from my Lo-pro Edge bridges, but its considerably easier to deal with. At the end of the day, the tuning stability is amazing and its def. worth having at least one evertune in your arsenal. Cheers!

    • @EverTune8
      @EverTune8 6 років тому

Herbert from EverTune here. The rining on this guitar most likely comes from the strings behind the nut resonating due to not being muted, as we have experienced with most of our customers. The solution in this case is to use a piece of foam or a fretwrap to mute the strings behind the nut and it should be 100% silent. The EverTune has it's own damper and buffer system built-in so that no vibrations can bleed into the springs. Stuffing foam into the bridge risks wiping away the custom dampening grease we use that mutes all the mechanical noises on the bridge. If muting the strings doesn't help please be sure to me or our contact our customer support "herbert@evertune.com" and we'll be happy to troubleshoot the issue.

Do you think Drop F is the lowest tuning for rhythm guitar/chord progression? I am going to buy custom gauge guitar strings for my 28 inch baritone and I was wondering if Drop E would be too low for chords. It seems Meshuggah and Josh Travis focus on single string riffs at Drop E. Thanks and greetings from Kennesaw GA (home of Mastodon).

My 7-string Jackson's got a Floyd and the springs in that thing rattle like a bitch. I don't know if the springs for the Evertune system work the same way, but might be worth a shot.

weird that your ET bridge is noisy. I don't seem to have that problem with my MH-1007ET (basically the non-signature sister of this guitar). Also it's worth noting that, unlike things like the floyd rose, you can easily change your guitar's tuning temporarily while the Evertune is present without having to mess with stuff. Setting up intonation and action can be a little involved due to the saddles shifting position (and thus tuning frequency) as you work it, but they make it pretty easy to adjust everything so it's not too bad. once you get it set up, changing tunings later is cake since you don't have to go through some crazy process and each string won't affect its neighbors.

unexplainedbacon I’ll be there all days. I’m a guest of Guitarmory, but I’ll be pretty much all over Hall D and also occasionally visiting the other halls if they have a destination booth for me.

Just bought one of these guitars. It's fucking insane!. There is no noise from the bridge whatsoever. Maybe you got it setup wrong bro? But you're right about one thing.. it sounds pissed!!!! Awesome guitar!

ArnoldPlaysGuitar I love your unbiased reviews and you have open my eyes to companies like Kiesel and Legator. I think I would still choose Legator over Kiesel but I'm gonna give them a few years to show me that they can make great guitars at an affordable price.

Omegametalchase92 I would EASILY take a Kiesel over a Legator. EASILY! 100 times more likely to get a damn good instrument, let alone an incredible one.

Something about this model just doesn't sit with my right. Maybe it's a combination of the (too) dark purple finish + the neck binding + hardwear + dark nickel Fishmans that just really puts me off.
    Lovely neck joint though.
ETA on the 6 string Fluence shoutout?
