So Cricinfo doesn't have the rights to the video. Pledge. Turn. Prestige.
Huh lol what
Nope
Yeah man. It's the worst presentation imaginable. So bad mark Nicholas is speechless
Rest in peace, Legend! You will always be the greatest ever spinner to play the game.

This moment, It was the reason Shane Warne became my parents' favorite player, ultimately leading to name their only child after him.
Shane Williams and u watch Pewdiepie. Turns out ur parents are great people. Love them

Typical australian

No in many videos it has same problem
Gaurav Reddy L he’s English
Use headphones
Satvik Soni thanks it really helps
& ESPN were not able to acquire the rights of the video of this delivery... Great!
This ball, this man, single handedly resuscitated the dying art in cricket called... THE LEG SPIN
A bit of a shame when your talking heads are saying "you have to watch the replay to believe it" then all Cricinfo can show is a poor quality animation.
This video could have been improved by showing the ball of the century as a puppet show. Think on!!!!
Warne for me was probably the BIGGEST MATCH WINNER to ever step foot in the cricket field...
He was a competitor, a fighter nd a champion...
Big matches, difficult condition...
Cometh the hour , cometh the man... Shane Keith Warne always delivered when the stage was high, nd that's why we love him
@Sandra Kap to me i consider a player who perform at big time situation....
A player who performed on the brightest lights of WC Semifinal nd finals....
U can hate as much as u want but his performance in the ashes of 2005 was epic
many better match winners dhoni now steve smith and quite a few others including bowlers
@@ayaanayubi1117 Dhoni🤣🤣🤣🤣
Warne destroyed countries.
@@ayaanayubi1117 lol. thanks for the laugh
Rip legend.. World missed another Masterpiece 😢😢😢😢
Warne is my inspiration...he's the one who got me into leg spin bowling

espncricinfo: you have to see it to believe it!

Kachra's ball in Lagaan was better.
Lol no. Warne's magic was in the drift. It was not about the obscene amount of turn.

Warne would've endeded careers of some of the so called modern day batting greats.
Who do you mean by saying this ?

Aussies
It was pure magic. Cool! I got that part over a decade ago. Now, how did that change cricket, ESPN? You haven't addressed that aspect of your title for this video.
The only thing I can think of is it revived leg spin in test cricket as it was a dying art. It had been a long time for anyone (and particularly Australia) since they had a superstar match winning legspinner.
Rest in peace GOAT
Warne was a bigger genius than he is said to be and much more than just that one delivery.
Him bringing the team that RR had in 2008, and winning the first IPL cup is just a sheer example of his brilliance
A lovely short documentary BY ESPN Cricinfo . SHANE WARNE - THE BEST THERE WAS AND THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE.
Sandra Kap Hey come on, I am an Indian. But that does not mean that I cannot appreciate the talent he had. If u have any more doubt abt Warne's talent, just see the bowl that he bowled to Andrew Strauss in the Ashes series. Strauss was completely bamboozled by that. Plus he came from a country which did not had any renowned spinners.
Rip shano. Amazing player and down to earth bloke.
Cricinfo.. U guys really love The Prestige.
please re-release the video properly with Mark Nicholas's words....please do that
Here after the death of shane warne . RIP LEGEND Shane Warne .
The greatest bowler/cricketer of all.time!!!
one of best videos i will ever see
Mark Nicholas can't be heard. Poor quality Video
Waseem's successive two deliveries in 92 world cup final clean bolding Fairbrother and Chris lewis were indeed 'balls of the century'
He didn't get Fairbrother out. It was Allan Lamb.
Mark nicholas had a beautiful voice doest he
Lol
The last test of india’s tour of england moen ali used the rough to gain an abnormal spin and got KL Rahul. KL rahul was in spectacular form and his 200 plus partnership with Pant provided real threat of India disturbing England chances of winning the match
It was Adil Rasheed NOT Moen. But I agree what You are trying to say.
Match was irrelevant
greatest ball ever
Why no video on saqlain mushtaq " Doosra " changed cricket or Pakistan inspirational victory in 1992 world cup changed world cricket as it was first world cup with coloured kits and flood lights
25 Matches/Series (not Individual performance list) that changed cricket forever-
1. England won following on Australia @SCG (1894 Ashes) - popularity of cricket increased
2. Bodyline Series (1932)
3. Tied Test, Aus-WI @Gabba in Brisbane (1961)
4. ICC banned SA for racist apartheid system in SA 1970 (righty so)
5. 1st ODI ever @ MCG (Aus vs Eng) 1971
6. 1st World Cup 1975 - WI era begins
7. Eng-WI Test Series 1976 (WI graveled racist Britishers)
8. World Series Cricket 1977-79
9. Aus-WI Test Series 1979 (WI thrashed racist Oz)
10. Headingley Test & 1981 Ashes (2nd ever game won following on)
11. World Cup 1983 (WI never recovered in CWC after that unexpected defeat by India) - popularity of cricket blossomed in Indian Subcontinent.
12. 1st Unofficial Champions Trophy (1985 B&H World Series Cup in Australia) India vs Pakistan Final & first multinational series encounter.
13. 2nd ever Tied Test, Aus-Ind 1986 @Madras(now Chennai)
14. World Cup 1987 (1st in Subcontinent) Britain's monopoly ended in hosting CWC & game's popularity rised more & more in this part.
15. Ashes 1989
16. Return of SA in ICC after the end of racist apartheid system 1991
17. World Cup 1992, coloured jerseys & better quality of cricket, of course cornered Pakistan
18.
18. World Cup 1996 (IndvsPak, IndvsSL & SL the unexpected champions, Subcontinent becomes Home of cricket, now Lords was just symbolic home)
19. Indo-Pak Test Series 1999 (cricket defying war & uniting arch rivals)
20. 1999 World Cup (SA-Aus clash
19.
This a very poor list. No 1 because he can't play spin?
My list:
1. 20-20 matches 1st introduced.
2. Everyone start batting with big bats
3. Match fixing by well known players
4. Sri Lanka wins the world cup by attacking in the 1st 10 overs
5. Bodyline series
6. India becoming the major player in world cricket.
7. Murali was called "no ball " by umpire hair
8. Sachin score 100th 100 to become the god like in india.
9. IPL change the financial situation of players.
10. Australia dominates world cricket for a decade.
You would have to add in Australia v West Indies 1974-75. 5-1 to Australia, Clive Lloyd decided to fight fire with fire and created the 4 man pace attack. The beginning of 20 years of domination.
ooo very good list. I would agree with the other commenter to include West Indies domination of world cricket from '75 onwards!
@@dannybans23 I think I missed it as well. Good correction
Great list. Wish cricinfo would take note..
Good list but the introduction of World Series Cricket by Kerry Packer changed the game far more than any of the other things. In fact if it hadn't happened, cricket may have largely died off by now.
He is the greatest, there is no question
Ooh shane warne there will never be any one like you.
I remember it live here in Australia,a seminal moment, did the fist pump in the living room,I reckon every Aussie did.
Adil Rashid’s wicket against India in the last test at The Oval should DEFINITELY be considered as ball of THIS century for sure!!!
It was basically the same thing when you think about it. I guess it was just not as recognised by the media and taken up by news stories as was Shane Warne's.
I guess that's the power of being the first to do something the world has never seen before.
Everything first would be seen better. The reaction from the first ever six, now thats something i would want to witness.
3:54 I disagree a bit. It was Cricket coz Cricket is magic especially the Art of Bowling which is the most beautiful part of Cricket when done on Good Pitches i.e. Bowling Pitches. Dead Pitches will kill Cricket.
RIP "the magician"
i watched video 12 times
Shane warne the magician
The series is incomplete ~
Please include -
1. Andy Flower and Henry Olonga's protest - Zimbabwean cricket crisis.
2. The MonkeyGate scandal - 2008
3. The underarm incident
4. The 1983 WC win of India
5. Kenya's journey of 2003 wc
6. Yasir Shah's 10-fer against England
Got to admit Warne has bowled many magnificent deliveries in his career. But a video for this one delivery, exaggeration!
Keshav Prabhu Yeah its the ball of the century
Warne is one of the greatest bowlers of all time and is probably the greatest character in cricket but the ball of the century and its celebration is a little overrated as it was bowled against england and propagated by English media. England batsmen are substandard players against spin to be honest, although the delivery and how much the ball spun was truly spectacular!
Shane Warne, the most overhyped player ever in Cricket history. Muralitharan is the G.O.A.T.
Rest In Peace
RIP. Mallus arelum undo. Adi like 🙏
Where is Aus vs SA 21 runs needed of 1 ball moment..?? That's the moment that really changed cricket which brought in D/L system... That should have been the No 1. When u have brathwaite 4 sixes inside 25 why not that...??
Should be in the list. But not no. 1
Best cricket show
You haven't showed the actual clip of his moment of brilliancein the video. Lol
Rest in peace great one
Yeah ian Chappell loves warne like I do.
One like for the magician 1️⃣💎
where is the original video guys
No. 1 Is 2001 Eden Garden test👌👌
Sandra Kap 2001 is more memorable and what u said is perfectly fit for 2001 series which was most iconic test series of all time..
India is power hous3 of world cricket. Any think which changes indian cricket do effect world cricket in same way👍
RIP 💔
Google doodle cricket does this in 150kmph after you cross 100
True
And later Ashwin bowls the ball of the century (bowled carom ball to take Amla wicket in T20I)
Can’t hear a word Mark Nicholas says. Poor audio. Please reupload.
Great moment, ordinary video.
RIP 🙏
I think ashwin to amla in t20 wc comes just after this
Many better deliveries are bowled after this even better than this
Why sachin’s desert storm innings is not there in the series?
Rip Shane warne
where is the video... wtd
Mark's audio is broken.
Adil rashid bowled s similar delivery to get virat kohli
It is ESPN cricinfo and what's up with Mark
Over hyped . Warne has done way better things in Career
List is manipulated by Aussies only.... This was a great ball... but had nothing to top this list...
But he didn’t succeed against best spin playing country India 🇮🇳
Why no one ever talks about Warne's drug doping scandal and how he brought shame to the gentleman's game
Because that shouldn't have any affect on the game
But it was already bowled by someone earlier right
😂😂😂😂 bowl of the centuries meanwhile murlidharana take most wicket
What about Sachin's 200?
ESPN is on the verge of dying
2019
Well no doubt he is a legend but that is too much exaggeration. I see that turn that delivery in our cricket league by some young talented spinners almost every match.
And again, he did it on the first ball he bowled in an overseas series. It had to be perfect and he did it. A lot of things are over hyped mate, this isn't.
It was his first ball in England, not in Sri Lanka or India on rank turners.
and lara 153 is # EP 3 what a bunch of crap, india follow on get # EP 4, well is is a aussie production. smh
One of the most poorly made videos ever made by an organisation like ESPN... They didn't show the actual video!!! And what's with Mark's voice??? Very very strange and annoying and disappointing...
rip
I don’t think it was a ball if century ..........consider afraidi Bowled ganguli or sohail tanveer Bowles Dravid
It's the first ball Warne bowled in the Ashes. There is no comparison, man.
Too much drama!
Most overrated ball
Mark Nicholas sounds like an android
This ball was just hype. Warne was good but he was not special to produce magic
Come on. You are serious aren't you?
Lip reading 101
Lots of cringe in this video clip.
Lol ESPN doesn't have a single right to show any videos. Without that not interested in the series.
Overhyped.
It was a fluke
There was a crack in the pitch
ESPN is on the verge of dying
