Some things I'd change I'd change about Ash's team First thing. Get rid of Uglyvish Second, I'd do one of two things with Ash's team. You could make it strictly a Galar team to give more Galar mons some shine. I'd give him a team of Pikachu Inteleon Corvinknight Urshifu Grimmsnarl Centiskorch Or if you're going to have a team that represents different parts of the world, here's how I would do his squad of six Pikachu (duh) Inteleon (it really suits ash imo but Rilaboom could also work) Espeon (ash deserves one let's be real) Lucario (he was a beast, he can stay) Flygon (could be his flyer) Volcarona (set up a few quiver dances and this bug can shred)
His team i would want him to have Pikachu Lucario Dragonite Arcanine Rillaboom Drewnaw Rotation Corvknight Toxtricty For a journeys team Pikachu Rillaboom corvknight Drewnaw Centiskorch Urshufu Roation Toxtricty Dragupult
The problem is none of them acknowledge the actual target audience - Japanese kids between the ages of 7 and 12. Like it's okay saying that Infernape and Garchomp should have a rematch but the target audience literally wasn't born then. The cartoon can have call backs to old episodes but should also focus on new characters (Goh, Chloe, Lucario, Cinderace etc) because that lets the kids who are watching it now see the whole story of those characters When you're making a cartoon for kids you have to think of the kids before the adults who might also be watching
@@eljordinio7647 Japanese children are 100% the target audience of the writers of this show. There will not be one joke/reference in this show that a Japanese child would not be expected to understand
My boy Infernape was robbed off his predestined face-off against Cynthia's Garchomp and taking down a legendary. Two huge robberies for InfernaGoat. We pretty much missed out on the biggest culmination and full circle of DP.
SOMEONE GETS IT! MAn I wish we had that battle SO BAD. Like I mentioned Lucario vs Garchomp was good but it seemed like a free W, Infernape would've added that extra passion.
@@InfamousTrainer InfernaGoat is my favorite mon of all time, I just wish he beat Flint's Infernape, Cynthia's Garchomp and Moltres just to assert his dominance. Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to read my capture for Ash's Ceruledge? I really want to know your thoughts on it.
@@BlizzardLuinor they did my boy DIRTY. He’s one of ashes strongest Pokémon that’s arguably better then Greninja, and they made him get clapped by moltres and not redeem himself in any way. That’s absolutely messed up. He needs more love
Having ash use his old Pokémons, with some of them evolving in the process, the return of all the pokemon ash released. Everything shown in this video was PEAK FICTION! This is what the PWC should've been like I would probably switch Dynamax togekiss for mega garchomp but regular garchomp vs regular infernape is definitely alright.
This. This right here would have made the Journeys anime so much better. Since it's supposed to celebrate Ash's journey as a trainer, it makes so much sense for him to include all of his Pokemon. I love the addition of some of his Pokemon finally evolving to show their growth from the training. The art here made me that more invested in the battles, especially the new teams. I still love Ash's team from Journeys, don't get me wrong, but it would have been excellent for his new team to work together with the old guard. Imagine the strategies and tactics that could have been birthed from the interactions. There can be scenarios like a sparring match between Lucario and Sirfetch'd vs Infernape and Emboar, Dragonite working together with Noivern and Gabite, Gengar playing tricks on the cast in good fun, and just Dracovish being the silly goober that it is.
100% agree that Ash shouldn't have caught anything in Journeys. MAYBE one new Pokemon at most, but he should've spent the whole series rotating in his reserves. Also I love how the final team has representation for every past series: Pikachu = OS, Sceptile = AG, Infernape = DP, Krookodile = BW, Greninja = XY, Lycanroc = SM. What gets me the most is how Journeys had that whole episode about Infernape wanting to become stronger and battle new opponents, yet did nothing with it. He should've been the one to beat Cynthia's Garchomp, we were so robbed man...
I like how murph made all of the overshadowed pokemon get some time to actually get the love that had been hogged Edit:also ash should've caught different Pokemon if he doesn't have his original mons and also used the released mons that weren't used like pidgeot ambipom primeape Butterfree Lapras Tyranitar and Squirtle also WHY THE HELL DID POKEMON NOT GIVE US ASH VS ALAIN IN THE FIRST PLACE CAUSE IF THEY DID EVERYONE (including me) WOULD WANT TO SEE ASH GRENINJA VS MEGA CHARIZARD X BUT THE POKEMON COMPANY PROBABLY WOULDN'T GIVE US THAT
@@InfamousTrainer To be fair, any older season could be rewritten to improve his team development (particularly in Johto and BW), or have him with better battles with better conclusions. It's really not that different than any past series re-write I've seen, like people who have Ash beat Tobias in DP or beat Alan in the Kalos league, or give us a better battle against Richie in Kanto. Every season has things that could have been different...
EASILY the best rewrite for Journeys!! The only thing that this needed was more screen time with his old companions, now that goddamn Chloe and Goh doesn't hog up the screen time. And I don't know, but I feel like this is how almost all of us want to imagine Journeys went. I know that's what I want, at least. Edit: Something I should mention, I think Ash should battle some of his companions and lose to them. And then have another character like a Paul, Bea or Marnie (someone strong Ash would eventually beat), beat that companion to build up tension. And I think using a similar idea, Ash should lose to Iris and tie to Diantha to make his wins against Cynthia and Alain all the more epic and suspenseful. It also makes sense, since all Champions are super strong, and this would showcase the steep competition beautifully. And have Cynthia and Steven have that same 1 loss (to Leon) and 1 tie (to each other), and have Leon draw with Iris to showcase her growth. But have her lose to Alain and Cynthia to setup some stakes to the rematches. This would make this rewrite 11/10. Edit 2: Swap out Cynthia's Gastrodon for a Lucario and have Ash's Hawlucha fight him instead of Spiritomb, leaving Spiritomb for Crawdaunt and have Donphan deal with Roserade.
@@InfamousTrainer He sure is. Even though I'd do a few things differently, he is without a doubt doing an amazing job. WAY better than whatever we had to suffer through for the last few years.
A few things this new version of journeys is missing out on is ash getting mega evolution, he should of mega evolved Sceptile vs Diantha. Also I since this just showed the important parts of the journey it skips out on the filler episodes but I think it would be cool if ash cycled through traveling with old companions through out the old series, at least 10 episodes with each companion
This is better, but I actually think his Journey's team was good. I love Gengar's personality, even Dracovish and sir fetchd were all good fun pokemon to have
This would've helped his Unova team. I think it's so infuriating that most of his team isn't fully evolved and the fully evolved ones like Unfezant sucked(except Krookodile)
I love how various moments in this simply breathtaking adaptation lines up perfectly to things you and the champs have said in the pod when discussing journey's
I love this ending, but I wish Bayleef would have battled once more and/or possibly evolved. And I even would throw in some more reunions like Charizard and Charla... Sceptile and Blaziken and/or Meganium... Lycanroc and Lycanroc... Etc. I would also bring back more gym leaders and even some Frontier brains as well. That would have made this final journey all the better imo.
I like this version of Journeys, but I actually did like his new team (even though I didn't like how they were handled). They were all pretty awesome and it would've been cool to see them fight alongside Ash's old Pokemon.
If I could add , they should of had primampe come back for the series and evolve at the end , would of been a great way to get people excited for paldea and the new series even if ash wasn't coming along for the journey, I can't believe he was the one Pokemon forgotten about in that 11 episode series after Leon
Merph did so good with this like bulbasaur getting shine and all of ashs pokemon getting an evolution or a battle except bayleef staraptor and 29 of ashs tarous also he actually uses naganadle goodra and greninja often so merph W
Bro this is lit 🔥 It gives ashs Pokémon a chance to shine in the best way possible and your right journeys should’ve done this also love the thumbnail bro 😎
This is what we should have in Journeys instead of focusing on two useless characters that serve no purpose in the anime. Other than promoting an app game and an Eevee.
This is what needed to happen in Journeys Ash using his old pokemon and evolving them climbing his way up to the M8 class. If this format of a round robin tournament happened in Journeys for the M8 battles. Ash against all the trainers in a 6v6 the M8 tournament would be more memorable. Ash vs Iris 3v3 lineups have so many call backs to the Unova days every pokemon has history with each other bringing it full circle great. Dragonite vs Charizard part 2 classic and Haxorous vs Scafty. Paul evolving Urasing to Ursaluna man it will be more troublesome to defeat Ursaluna and definitely don’t want to activate it's Guts ability. I would still love to see Leon’s other pokemon and great choices by Merph making Ash’s teams against all the M8 opponents and what Ash’s mons will do battle against.
That journey with Misty & Brock should've been different in so many ways. They should've re-visited old characters of the day in the past like A.J, Giselle, Jennette, Mandi & the Samurai, a reunion with May & Max & not to mention Serena getting a longer reunion with Ash while Misty & Brock meet her for the first time & Misty's rivalry with Serena starts there, The long awaiting downfall of Giovanni & Team Rocket, Ash getting Primeape back, so much more should've been done differently.
This is like my dream come true. 🤩 Like literally, 'cause I had this dream around Sun&Moon's time that Ash would enter the supposed "international tournament league" and he would use his previously caught Pokemon, and even evolving them along the way. This is the (almost) perfection I've been looking for, and had (very high) expectations for in Journeys. Not to mention the incredible art telling each event and story. Starry Eyed Kudos to Merph. 🌟
I truly think Gengar, Lucario and Dragonite should have remained caught by Ash. Still being a part of the series and finding a way to mold them in with Ash’s OG’s
I like the pokemon, but my guy, having them would have ash sideline some pokemon that got to shine where they didn't get too before. cherrypicking those three specifically because they're more liked pokemon or "cooler" than the other three is a bit too much for me. I do agree that he shoulda caught them here, but maybe he does, just after the tournament, it's not like he suddenly has a heart attack after the video after all. :) Edit: I used "cherrypicky" twice in the same sentence like a nonce.
I don’t necessarily mind Ash’s JN team staying, just swap out new catches and reserves, give the new guys more focus and development than JN proper gave them, Give Lucario some unique abilities to take better advantage of the “Ash finally getting to use Aura” possibilities(as opposed to making it a blatant Ash-Greninja ripoff), and…fix Dracovish. Give it more of a personality than just “chomp”, and give it some Proper development instead of having it be strong enough to beat Iris’ infamous Dragonite when it was born, and having its only growth be an equivalent to Thunder Armor(those energy claws infuriate me to no end)
I love the manga style for this it looks so good. And I agree with most of these although I feel like some of his journeys team should have been caught as I did like some of them.
I wish this really happened in journeys like i would love to see his other mons return like ambipom, tyranitar, heck i would if every episode his mons get development and great video infamous 👍
the thumbnail looks amazing its like an alternate universe or an what if like ash brought back some of his old pokemon through journeys and evolve some of them into their final or second evolution in their separate battles
I really like how the battles were formatted and what Pokémon Ash used for each one, especially Krookodile getting the respect he deserves after being a semi-rival for a while, though I do have a few things I don’t fully agree with. Evolving some of Ash’s older Pokémon like Totodile and Scraggy feels a bit unnecessary. Totodile especially since his little goofball personality wasn’t the best for full on fighting. While evolution would make him significantly stronger and more efficient, he’d also be losing some of that “little dude” energy that’s so iconic to his character. Scraggy was also a little dude but more headstrong and scrappy. Making Scrafty act almost rude or obnoxious seems like a weird turn for him after being the fun little guy. I am down for others though like Emboar, Dewott, and Typhlosion. These just felt natural as their character arcs got cleaned up and they deserved the finishing power boost to truly shine. I am also a little sad to see Ash’s Journeys team just not exist and while it makes total sense for this scenario, Dracovish gave me this strange feeling of joy seeing them on screen. Having them be beheaded during this is a bit rude.
I can honestly say that this way was so mich better than how Journeys was portrayed. Although Ash does not get to use any Galar Pokemon, using his older Pokemon and some even evolving more than made up for it
I do wish that Ash had used older Pokémon in Journeys, especially in the Master’s 8. Would have also been nice if he’d got more Mega Evolutions, not just Lucario
I honestly never thought much of Ash using reserves, but man watching this video really made me realise what a missed opportunity it was, especially in the masters 8. Infernape vs Rillaboom would've been awesome, seeing my boy Lycanroc against Mr Rime would've been so interesting. I can just think of so many different possibilities and endings Ash could've had, it's a shame Journeys was so all over the place because if they had written it differently, it could've broke the internet after every other episode 100%
Ok don't get me wrong, Journeys was good, in my opinion but this....this right here was awesome!!!! The artist did an awesome job with all of these no joke. One of my favorite parts of this was having Ash's Pokemon evolve, some of them anyway they SHOULD have evolved in the anime but didn't. Glad the artist here changed that and I loved it. Also seeing some of the new battles was even awesome. It was even cooler to see Infernape get some love here. Amazing work, loved this^^
I still say they should've ended Ash's arc with a big surprise birthday party with all his friends and pokemon throughout the series even Team Rocket would be a part of it And he makes a birthday wish that he could see Ho-oh again and then after the party he wakes up early the next morning and he sees Ho-oh in the sky And after that they show a montage of Ash's history throughout the series and then ends with skipping ahead a few years later with Ash as a teenager and he's still an undefeated champion What do you think of that?
Which didn't even have much of an ace at all really. I mean I know some consider it to be Heracross but with a bad win rate, that's unbecoming of an ace Pokemon
@coreylee05 Charizard is the better fire pick compared to infernape cos he's beaten tougher opponents Infernape was not only useless against both Cynthia AND flint, but couldn't even beat a legendary despite all his training Charizard not only beat a legendary but also someone who's supposed to be stronger than the elite 4
The rest of Lance's team were not what I was expecting. I mean Salamence I could get cause like Hydreigon it was part of Lance's PWT team & Aerodactyl is practically a staple in his Dragon Army, but Kommo-o was a random choice {since they signify Lance as both Kanto & Johto champ, at least give him a Johto pokemon like Kingdra} - If anything, since Pokemon Mezastar actually did hint on other champions' pokemon before the tournament episodes had happened (like Leon's Mr. Rime), it might've been best to draw inspirations from there as they might've been factual. Like finally showing Iris' 6th member as Hydreigon and/or the other members for Lance & Steven's full teams (and if it just so happens to repeat pokemon, I think it's fine since the Masters 8 could practically be called by another name as the End of Dragonites Tournament)
I don't like his Journeys team taking the opportunities from the GOATs, but I still think *someone* should be catching Galarian Pokemon. Maybe if the whole tournament is in Galar, Ash's friends would each have a new Galarian Pokemon when they come to cheer him on. As for some other changes, Casey and the Frontier Brains need to show up or be referenced at some point, and Bulbasaur should agree to finally evolve into Ivysaur (which is one of my favorite Grass types, thanks to Smash Bros.) I like the round robin idea, but I think it could use a couple changes: - The battles against Leon and Cynthia mean Ash can have climactic battles with up to 12 of his all time aces, so he should use some combination of them for the two battles. This also means we don't have to choose between Infernape and Charizard. - Ash and Leon should each lose close matches to Cynthia, who would go undefeated. So when Ash beats Leon in the final match, it's more about personal stakes than about being the best like no one ever was, since apparently Ash doesn't require that to be a Pokemon Master. - Cynthia can gift Ash a Riolu egg after their match. As for the very ending, instead of a random Lati@s, it should be Ho-oh that recognizes Ash but still doesn't want to travel with him, signalling his journey will continue.
Even I can't lie this is perfect this could have been perfect for Pokemon journeys the perfect anime of the century although I do still wish that use his galar team at least some of them
I like the position Journeys is in tbh. The kids watching can have memories of this series in the future like how we have memories of older series. The older fans can make these really cool what ifs, and younger audiences can make memories with Journeys.
Yeah... With how much potential journeys had, what they did wasn't exactly adequate In addition to all the fanservice we got, we should have gotten Ash's older Pokemon taking part in the biggest tournament in history. If an ending makes people want to make fanfinction set AFTER the ending of the series, that means people liked the characters so much that they still want to see them. But if an ending makes many people write fanfic that REPLACES the ending, you know that something wasn't right.
I agree that Journeys should've been Ash using all of his Pokemon instead of a new team but one thing Journeys actually fixed was giving Ash Mega Evolution. This version didn't have ME and Ash needed to have it imo. The perfect Pokemon for Ash to ME was also a Pokemon that could've made an amazing return with Pidgeot. Pidgeot returning with a Mega Stone because its been in the wild would've been absolutely perfect.
You know what I think it needs Ash should have caught a lilligant and an heliolisk, Milo, Nessa, Kabu, Gordie and Melony, and of course a rival who has a tragic past but he was young kid at pokemon camp until something scratched his face and has scars on his left eyes, outcasted and disowned by his parents his heart grew darker, he along with other outcast pokemon become stronger. Then it is revealed that Team rocket are the ones who gave him his scars
Honestly this was actually what I wanted for journeys to pursue all along. 3 things I would still add to Merphisc manga is that Ash's journey pokemon (Lucario, dragonite, gengar, sir'fetch and dracovish) will still be added. I think having new pokemon part of his team will still make ash's pokemon family grow and I like that having new pokemon with him. The other thing is more battles are introduced, ash battles more than the number of battles journeys had, like battling his old rivals who he won and lost to during his Pokemon tournaments like Paul. Just like Paul and his other his rivals, they don't have to be participating in the coronation series or they are participating. Last but not least The battle with Tobias and his darkrai a full on out battle after the coronation series where tobias will test ash if he is the strongest trainer who beat Leon.
There is one thing I would remove from this adaptation of the series, and that is the beheading of dracovish and arctozolt. I don't see ash who would go this far. I think on the episode that dracovish and arctozolt were introduce to ash and goh would still keep it the same as it is were both trainers catch them.
6:44 I think an easy way to fix this is just to replace Pikachu with another ground type Donfan I think would be perfect for this since I think he has the size and abilities to take down electivire. Also maybe replace Torterra with Gible or gabite since Torterra already kind of fought volkner.
For me, IF I were to change things in Journeys: -MORE & BETTER Galar representation ESPECIALLY Gym Leaders & Rivals -Develop Goh's Scorbunny & Sobble better for their Evolution -At The End of Moltres Episode, Mixing BOTH Old AND New Ash Mons ESPECIALLY at Masters 8 -Evolve Quilava, Gible (to Gabite), Snivy, Pignite, Scraggy, Palpitoad, & Boldore (via Trade with Goh's Boldore) -If Goh is gonna have (begrudgingly) ALL Galar Starters, gonna make Grookey NOT annoying -Have Chloe legit own via capture Yamper (maybe evolve to Boltund) & catch Galarian Ponyta & Rapidash -Make Eevee G-Max -Have The Battle of Vs. Wallace in a later Episode -Have Proj. Mew Mission THEN Vs. Cynthia OR Leon -Use Infernape in Vs. Cynthia -The Leon Team would be Pikachu, Charizard, Sceptile, Greninja, Lycanroc, & Lucario -Have the celebration party be THE LOOOONG awaited Reunion of Ash & His Past Companions & if possible past Rivals as well
I like this alot, Galar got so shafted and it would be better to see them get better reputation. Also pacing is nicer with what you have here because Project Mew being after PWC was a bad play.
That's decent too, but the rapid progression of his Journeys team is jarring to me. Like don't get me wrong, they are strong, but with over half their development happening offscreen, it's very hard for me to believably incorporate that team for a series like Journeys (however sad that may be).
So one guy, Merphisc, went ahead and illustrated an alternate version of Pokémon Journeys to fix practically every issue the anime ever had. Evolving old Pokémon, setting up better character relations, respecting the dozens of Pokémon Ash had from before, hilarious reactions from the trainers (and their Pokémon) beaten by Ash, and a phenomenal Masters 8 that truly resolves old rivalries and allows Ash to become the World Champion in a more impressive manner. How has someone as skilled and driven as him not gotten hired on to their group? How has he not truly received proper recognition for such an incredible story that would have broken the internet dozens of times over for millions of Pokémon fans? How could he forget to include Marnie completely losing her cool attitude upon facing Gigantamax Melmetal!? This. This would have drawn me back into the anime just to see all this happen. Maybe if Merphisc were still in the mood, he could do a storyline where Ash has a final confrontation with Team Rocket to bring their organization down for good. And maybe find his father for one last climactic showdown. This is truly deserving of Master Class status. Huge respect for the guy.
I stopped by again while surfing youtube! It's been more than a year since I drew this work!! P.S: It's a very late explanation, but there's some main reasons why I let Cynthia in third opponent. -Cause there's 3 users who using mega evolve, and I don't want to draw two volumes of mega evolution in a row. Just because of unbalanced visual and my modest artist instinct. -U know Ash's Charizard is gonna absenst in final battle, so I should have to put him in semi-final battle. But I can't find his position in Cynthias', so I put him at Steven's instead and lends probability to the story that Charizard can't participate in Leon's battle cause he used too much energy to defeating Mega-Metagross. -More importantly, I didn't want to replace any of the opponents I put into the last battle with Charizard. Of course these are reasons that may be hard to accept, but I hope you guys gonna understand!
Honestly, I'm not really opposed to Ash having a new team for this series (tho Uglyvish could have been swapped for something better) but it is nice to see Ash give his Pokemon a chance to shine. Some things I liked about this included A) some of his mons finally don't need to be evolved or not. B) Greninja got the against Alain he deserved C) it finally let the incinerator battle as an incinerator D) Let's NOT BE real, ash using a team of veterans against Leon would have been Cool a and also evil Paul still needs more punished. The eljorindo7646 user is a pathetic jerk with no games or manners.
I would have had Paul's Ursaring suddenly evolving into Ursaluna would have been the kickoff of a Hisui arc for me, and then Quilava could have become a Hisuian Typhlosion. I would have still had it mostly in Galar and brought in some new team members, like Gengar, maybe a gift Dratini from Lance, but the older pokemon would have been there too, more like Charizard, Infernape, Sceptile, etc. as 'travel companions' and how they all help the new team members train, too, and how they interact with the ones from other regions, like in the final episodes. And evolving older pokemon (Meganium, Emboar, Garchomp).
I haven't gotten too far in my JN rewrite outline, but an idea I had was to bring back more reserves to help train the Journeys team to teach them new moves. An idea I really liked was bringing Torterra back so that Ash could learn how to battle with slow, tanky Pokemon to better adapt his battle style to Dynamax since the two are opposite to his fast paced, hard hitting one. he could definitely take some lessons from mons like torterra or melmetal to maximize use of Dynamax Props off to Murph, this was AN AMAZING REWRITE
I think Melmetal would have been the better option for this scenario since his win rate was actually decent Torterra shouldn't be teaching anyone anything when his win rate isn't worthy of recognition
@@eljordinio7647win rate doesn't necessarily equate to a pokemon's strength. take for example leon's inteleon: it has a 0% win/loss rate onscreen but is still one of the strongest pokemon in the world. both of them battled formidable opponents and regardless of torterra's winrate, it is the best case example of ash being horrible with tanky, slow pokemon. he never adapted fully to torterra's style and didn't teach it moves that would actually benefit that more. him going back to the pokemon he failed to accommodate and mastering the style would be a huge step forward for a first step for mastering dynamax that's not to say that melmetal isn't a bad pick either. he should bring back him as well(setting up gmax melmetal for later). but I picked tortera specifically because he seemed like the best fit with his history to give ash a starting point for training
@@pokelover1743 Leon's team we've barely seen til his battle with ash so who knows how many wins Inteleon does have Ash's torterra on the other hand is a different story. We saw his time in Sinnoh and while he was decent as a turtwig, he quickly fell from grace to the point where all he's remembered for is being a weakling. He hasn't even had any other fights after sinnoh cos Ash never bothered to pick him up again Besides Melmetal, Goodra and Snorlax are tanky Bois and THEY weren't nearly as shameful
@@eljordinio7647 That's true, we don't know how many wins Inteleon has. I think it's really a shame what happened to Ash's Torterra, because from what I remember of it, it did lose a lot, but it at least got good showings against powerful opponents like Palmer's Rhyperior and Bertha's Hippowdon. Those matches helped show Ash how to make use of the tanky style and Grotle/Torterra get better. I just don't think either of them ever really got to mastering that style completely. A few moves changed here and there(like Stone Edge replacing Rock Climb) and Torterra would have been significantly better off. It definitely had the tools to be great at taking hits and dish out damage with long range attacks. But it just didn't get the favor of the writers for some reason and always was a fall guy for Ash, even if there were opportunities to show he'd gotten this new body and battlestyle down. Like Paul's Ninjask. Those other examples of tank mons being successful can be attributed to a couple of factors. snorlax was shown to be somewhat agile and was able to keep up with opponents thanks to that and it's raw power. melmetal and goodra were post sinnoh and ash had already had time to learn from some of his mistakes with torterra. Plus, it helps in Goodra's case that it had to learn how to be tanky from the start to be able to use Bide at maximum efficiency. Melmetal also has the benefit of Double Iron Bash and having to show why it's considered a Mythical And even if a pokemon doesn't have the most stellar record, doesn't mean you can't learn from their mistakes. Torterra and some of Ash's tanks coming back to help Ash with learning to adapt his style would be a good thing
my rewrite would be like your video talk about but ash still get his pokemon from pokemon journey (just not used alot like in original journey), more galar focus ep,ash reuniting his pervious traveling companions & rivals, he catches galar starters(like he did for kanto, johto, and unova), and tyranitar(lavitar from johto series) becoming part of his team
My senpai Gekkouga was done dirty with the Ash-Greninja form being retconed due to Ash leaving, So to fix that I would have him appear in the last second to show his full power against Leon's Charizard
I like this a lot more than what we got in the anime My only complaints are that you should have kept Gengar, Lucario and Dragonite, as I know they were fan favourites. Not to mention Lucario was his ace in Journey's. Also should have used Sceptile and Charziard more. Maybe even give Sceptile and Charziard Megas (Y, so separate him from Alain's Charizard). Or give Charizard, a G-Max.
I like this, but I still wanted Ash to catch new Pokémon. Like have him catch the Journeys Pokémon but also more Galar Pokémon. Then have it set in Galar with him being in the PWC. Then having Ash’s older Pokémon in rotation with his newly caught one’s training with each other and teaching each other everything that Ash has taught them. Basically we get multiple episodes like the Paul episode from Journeys throughout the series and it gives Ash’s older Pokémon a chance to evolve or learn new moves and the same with his new Pokémon. That’s what I would have loved to see and that is my head canon.
If he was going to have a Galar team, I'd give him Pikachu Inteleon Corviknight Centiskorch Grimmsnarl And Flapple It's a pretty diverse team and it has a nice fire, water and grass core
@@eljordinio7647 that’s a good team, mine would have been: Pikachu Rillaboom Corvinight Centiskorch Dracovish Sirfetch’d Urshifu (in rotation) (released before end of series) It’s kind of diverse and allows for some interesting dynamics.
If he was going to have a Galar team, I'd give him Pikachu Inteleon Corviknight Centiskorch Tokaral. It's a pretty diverse team and it has a nice fire, water, and grass core.
Gotta admit most of this is sooo much better than what Journeys did But the thing that just threw me off was just force writing most of ashs pokemon to just fully evolve
Not exactly, Ash shown here since he's using them much after their season debuts and coming back inbetween the seasons that have time to grow. Plus the PWC would push them. This would also stop people from complaining that Ash doesn't evolve his Pokemon and also shows signs of growth. I don't think evolving them all are neccessary hence why there was still Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and we kept Dewott and Quilava where they were.
@@InfamousTrainer didnt quilava evolve all the way Thought i saw that Also like its been a thing in the anime Evolution isnt needed to show growth or power Pikachu, rowlet, bulbasaur and squirtle being an example of that Yes some of them should evolve like scraggy
Bro this art style is so good that it almost makes the journeys anime even worst. If ash use his older mons instead of his current ones, than he wouldn't have to come from behind to win like three times. Like he's up against three tough champions.
That would be a perfect expectation for this anime and it would be totally epic, however making battle animations is not easy at all but it would be a great try, there's some speculations of what would be the important chapters for a renewed imaginary series of Pokémon Journeys: Episode 1 is the same Pikachu Story in the beggining, then we will move to Episode 5 with the introduction of Galar, the Wyndon City, the Dynamax and the Galar Starters. Leon vs Lance will be in Episode 10, it will be an 2v2 (Leon: Dragapult & Charizard and Lance: Gyarados & Dragonite), Ash watches the battle and Leon Wins. Next is Ash vs Leon in Episode 11 BC Ash wants to battle with powerful trainers, only an 1v1 match with Gigantamax included (Pikachu vs Charizard obviously) but Ash loses, then Leon talks to Ash about the Pokémon World Championship and Ash gets motivated and excited to compete, also Leon gives Ash the Dynamax Band. Episode 14 is the introduction of new contents, like Marnie, Hop (Leon's Brother) the Wild Area and the Max Raid Battles, this time is a Wild Dynamax Liepard, with help with a random trainer, Ash is using Pikachu, Hop with Wooloo, the random trainer with Thievul and Marnie with Grimmsnarl with Gigantamax, the battle seems too hard to weaken but not for Marnie who has high experience with Dynamax, Grimmsnarl defeats Liepard and Marnie catches them for her team, meanwhile Marnie Leaves, Ash mentions Hop that he got attention by Leon and Hop gets thrilled about this. Episode 16: Ash reunites with all of his Pokémon in the Oak's Lab with happy encounters between all of them and talks about the mentioned Pokémon World Championship, then Ash says that he's ready to win and the most important, He is using all of his Pokémon, thrilling all of them. The first battle about Ash in Pokémon World Championship is in Episode 19 against Alternative Lt Surge, it will be the same 2v2 in the Anime but Ash uses Bulbasaur and Pikachu, [Pikachu vs Raichu, Pikachu is switched, Bulbasaur wins against Raichu, but then is defeated by Electrode, now is Pikachu vs Electrode and the time comes for Electrode to self-destruct, giving victory to Ash], his first ranking position is 4096. Ash got some win battles against random trainers rising to positions like 3333, 2720, 2187, 1825, 1512, 1251 and 1024 in the Episodes 21 and 22 but the next important match is against Korrina (ranking 1001) in the Episode 24, it will be 3v3 and the combat will be like the one in your proposal, at that time: [Corphish vs Mienshao, and Mienshao uses U-Turn, giving the opportunity to Machoke, and Machoke wins, next is Staraptor and quickly the bird wins, now is Staraptor vs Mienshao, an very close match but the last seconds Mienshao faints, then Korrina chosses Lucario, mega evolves and defeats Staraptor, last matchup Noivern vs Mega Lucario, another close match and the last seconds Lucario gets out, so Ash wins, giving Noivern the redemption that in the XY anime he's outclassed by Greninja], raises to the ranking 943, ascending to the Super Class. To be continued...
Continuing... Episode 27 is Leon vs Raihan, and also 2v2 [Rillaboom and Charizard (Leon) vs Flygon and Duraludon (Raihan)] obviously Leon wins and Ash says hello to the champion in the stands, after the battle Sonia is introduced and we got some Sword & Shield plot. Episode 30 is an special day in the Oak's Lab, some Ash's Pokémon are learning new moves and some evolves to be more stronger, (Scrafty, Croconaw, Servine, Crawdaunt, Floatzel and Dewott). Continuing with Episode 31, Ash battles with other random trainers product of their evolved Pokémon and got a good result, ascending rankings like: 891, 850, 819, 784 and now in the ranking 752. Episode 34 in the Hammerlocke City, Rose and Oleana are introduced and talks about Ash the "Darkest Day" and Eternatus, so we got some history of Galar, also Sonia is in this Episode with the introduction of Proffesor Magnolia, approaches to talk Ash about the heroes who saved Galar, one with the Sword and another with the shield. This times changed with Episode 37 with the introduction of Bea, Ash got an Match with Bea (ranking 663) and this is different: It will be an 3v3 [the start is Dewott vs Hawlucha, Bea's battle style was so effective and Hawlucha defeats Dewott a bit easier, now Ash is using Noctowl and that changed a bit with the unpredictability, Noctowl wins, Bea takes out Grapploct and it is seen that Octolock turns out to be very effective, and Noctowl got Koed by Close Combat, it's Floatzel's turn, Grapploct got some problens and it's Changed to Machamp, with that, Machamp dominates the battle and defeats Floatzel giving Bea the win by 3-1], it's not like Ash is the unbeatable and he lacks a lot to be a real competitor (descend to ranking 795). Episode 39: Ash cames back to Alola and got re-encounters with the Alola Gang, once again enjoys the landscapes of Alola and Kiawe talks to Ash that he's competing the Pokémon World Tournament, saying that one day they will have a Pokémon battle again and who also wants to Challenge the strongest trainers, even Ash is going to tell Kukui that he will use his Alolan Pokémon for his next battles. Episode 43 is another episode about more story in the Galar Region, this time in the Stow-on-side, re-encounters with Sonia, Magnolia and Hop, that will take as a point of advantage for the future of Galar, also Sonia talks to Ash and Hop about better information on Zacian and Zamazenta. To be continued...
Continuing... Let's move to Episode 46, an episode fanservice to Mewtwo, like, Ash gets lost, later he meets scared Pokemon then Ash wants them to be friends and he meets Mewtwo, Ash got an battle using Pikachu, Charizard and Infernape, but is not enough to defeat Mewtwo, then Ash is returned to his town and meets Ho-oh again (Ending of Pokémon Journeys S1). Pokémon Journeys S2 starts in the Episode 47, maybe a filler episode, so I move to Episode 48. Ash travels to the Hulbury Town and enters to the Hulbury stadium with the introduction of Nessa, with her Drednaw, wins an battle and rises to 696, Ash is obviously thrilled and wants to compete, later Ash wants to introduce himself with the Water girl trainer and Nessa accepts, then Ash wants a battle with her about PWT and she says "okay, but tomorrow". Now Nessa introduce Ash to the Captain's Table, Ash has a great time and later they go to the lighthouse, where he meets Piers, then he also mentions Marnie and that she also participates in the PWT, Team Rocket appears to steal Pikachu again and Nessa with Piers stops them with their Pokémon, and sending TR blasting off. Next is Episode 49 {Nessa's Number}, Ash vs Nessa is happening in the stadium with a court of 2 large swimming pools and Piers is watching at the stadium it will be another 3v3 [Ash chosses Croconaw and Nessa chosses Golisopod, Croconaw hits Golisopod with several physical moves but it didn't work too much, now Golisopod got some moves and it turns out that moves are great damage, Ash plans to distract Golisopod with speed but surprise: Sucker Punch and Croconaw is out, next is Lycanroc, this time with his power and speed he manages to control the fight, therefore Golisopod got problen and switches cause of it's ability, Barraskewda arrives into the swimming pools and causes serious problems to Lycanroc that got wet, Lycanroc uses his fury (like in the SM anime) and this time he manages to hit Barraskewda, taking advantage of his low defense Lycanroc attacks with Accelerock and Barraskewda got Koed, Golisopod arrives again, this time is a close match, however, Lycanroc uses Counter and leaves him unable to battle, the final Pokémon for Nessa is Drednaw and uses Gigantamax, then uses Gmax Stonesurge, Lycanroc barely dodges but Stealth Rocks harms Ash's Team, Drednaw uses Max Rockfall and knocks out Lycanroc, final Ash's Pokémon is Pikachu with a bit of damage by Stealth Rocks, and uses Gigantamax, after the collision of 2 Max Moves, Drednaw is back to normal but manages to accommodate the battlefield in the pools, manages to bite Pikachu, giving him serious problems and Ash just remembers to use Max Strike in the battlefield, the pools got out of water, leaving Drednaw defenseless, Pikachu uses Gmax Volt Crash and Drednaw faints, Ash wins] with that Ash rises to 714, Ash thanks Nessa for the battle. In the Episode 52 Ash got some battles against random trainers and wins all of them, rising to 672, 637 and 603. Continuing with Episode 53, Ash got training with the Elite Four Member Wilkstrom but instead Ash uses Scrafty, Hawlucha, Heracross and Pignite, Scrafty improves his aim of the Focus Blast, Hawlucha learns Sky Attack, Heracross learns Close Combat and Pignite evolves to Emboar. To be continued...
Continuing... In the Episode 55, is mostly the same case as that episode from Journeys Anime, the introduction of Sally but this time is not Chloe here, is Ash knowing the Glimwood Tangle, and that continues with the Episode 56 where it will be the same case as the Episode 82 from Journeys, the Ballonlea Town, Leon with Raihan is Back but also Hop joins here (without Chloe and Goh) and the same Alcremie competition. Now I move to Episode 60, this time is something very special, Ash got a Letter from Wallace says that his traveling friends will be in a special presentation to find out if Ash wants to attend to Hoenn in the Sootopolis City (Team Rocket are in this city too), Ash gets excited and travels to that City later he meets nothing more and nothing less than: Serena, May and Dawn, also we got the introdiction of Lisia, the contest master, she says that we will get another Wallace Cup here, but before such an event takes place, Wallace wants Ash an battle to find out how far he has progressed as a trainer, Ash accepts, this time is an 2v2 [Ash uses Crawdaunt and Wallace uses Swampert, the match is close, it is shown that these 2 are strong trainers, May, Dawn and Serena are impressed, but continuing with the battle, Crawdaunt got some different new moves to know that the Pokémon has progressed, after some crashes of good damage, these 2 faints, now Ash uses Pikachu and Wallace uses Milotic, it is another matched in terms of power, Pikachu has a lot of experience of being unpredictable and this Milotic is stronger than an average Milotic, in the end both goes down and they gets a draw], everyone was surprised but Wallace congratulates Ash on his growth in Pokémon battles, he also mentions that Steven Stone are in the Masters 8. Moving to Episode 61, TR are in the bushes, James and Meowth wants to steal this Pokémon but Jessie (we know that Jessie) wants to compete in the Wallace Cup to give it to Giovanni if she manages to win it, James and Meowth think with "here we go again" and Jessie participates the contest as Jessilina one more time. Meanwhile Serena shows off her new talent as a coordinator, she shows a new Pokémon: Lilligant. With this they will be friends and rivals in the contest and only one can win the cup, also Drew, Zoey and Shauna returned and will also they are participating, before the contest starts, Wallace makes the same presentation seen in the Diamond and Pearl series. Next is Episode 62, the start of the showcases with 32 coordinators the first arriving is Lisia using Altaria (with mega like in the anime and the same presentation), next is Serena using Lilligant (her moveset is: Petal Dance, Quiver Dance, Pollen Puff and Magical Leaf), Follow Drew with Masquerain, Zoey with Mismagius, May with Glaceon, Jessie with... Wobbuffet (she forgot to bring some Pokémon from Giovanni), Shauna with Florges (with new moves like Moonblast for example) and Dawn with Togekiss, most of their presentations are magic and creativity (but not the same for Jessie and she's disqualified) and they all go to the Top 8. Episode 63 after the presentations the protagonists and rivals are getting an chill day have a good time, they have lunch in a restaurant and talk about what happened on their travels, especially that Ash wanted to know about the path of her best friends, and yes, TR appears again to steal Pokemon but their plans are just failures, they got blasted off again. In the end of the episode there's the following matches in the quarterfinals: Lisia vs The Random Contestant ; May vs Serena ; Zoey vs Drew and Dawn vs Shauna. To be continued...
Now we're getting to the Episode 64, the battle contests wil be 2v2, Lisia vs Random is off-screen, only showing that Lisia is very talented, next is May vs Serena, 2 of Ash's friends May uses Blaziken & Blastoise; Serena uses Delphox & Sylveon [Serena is starting with a combination of Fire Blast with Swift, turning out to be a Fire Star; meanwhile May uses Fire Spin with Water Pulse, both girls are at 75%, now May uses Blastoise with Rapid Spin while Blaziken climbs into their shell, but Serena also seeks to win, Sylveon uses Fairy Wind while Delphox uses Mystical Fire, their precision is accurate with that combo, hits Blastoise (few damage by the shell) but Blaziken jumps and uses Blaze Kick, hits Delphox and Sylveon (May at 50% and Serena at 40% 2 minutes left), Serena says Sylveon to use Moonblast and Delphox to use Hidden Power, the combo is a huge "Hidden Moonblast Sphere" May tries to counter with Overheat and Hydro Pump, it barely managed to explode but both May's Pokemon takes damage (Serena at 35% and May at 30%, 1 minute left), the final moves are Ice Beam from Blastoise while Delphox uses Mystical Fire, the crash gives a dense fog, Sylveon uses Fairy Wind but Blastoise uses Rapid Spin again, Blaziken does the same strategy again and is in a safe position to hit Delphox with Sky Uppercut and Sylveon with Blaze Kick (May with 20% and Serena with 15%, time's up)] May wins and advance to the next round, Serena though somewhat regretful, she congratulates May on the battle and wishes her luck. On the other hand we got a Rival vs Rival: Drew vs Zoey, Drew uses Roserade and Flygon; Zoey uses Mismagius and Gallade [The start are the next moves: Sandstorm from Flygon and Psyshock from Mismagius (replacing Psywave), but not much changed, only that the Sandstorm damaged the Zoey's Pokemon, Zoey is using the "Electric Wave" (Combo of Vacuum Wave and Shock Wave) meanwhile Drew's Flygon blocked the move with Flamethrower and Roserade prepares to use Solar Beam, after some seconds Flygon uses Dragon Pulse, with the Solar Beam, the combo is "natural dragon beam", Mismagius tries to counter with Psyshock but failed, Zoey's Pokemon takes damage, (Drew at 83% and Zoey at 62%, 3 minutes left), now Roserade uses Petal Dance but Gallade counters with Swords Dance and Psycho Cut, with his arms shining, Mismagius uses Lucky Chant to buff it and Gallade uses Sacred Sword, Flygon counters with Steel Wing but takes damage (Drew's points goes down to 58%, 2 minutes left), now Roserade uses Giga Drain meanwhile Mismagius uses Night Shade, it's an even clash, Gallade uses Vacuum Wave and Flygon counters with Sandstorm, with that, the battlefield blows up and those severe winds damages all the 4 Pokemon (Drew at 33% and Zoey at 35%, 1 minute left), those 2 contestants are going to give it all, the Pokemon uses the special combos of moves resulting in an explosion but the last second Zoey approaches with Gallade and his physical light moves who marks his opponents and uses Psycho Cut, hitting Drew's Pokemon (Drew with 10% and Zoey with 20%, time's up)] Zoey wins and advance to semifinals. And now the last match of the quarterfinals: Dawn vs Shauna, Dawn uses her recent evolved Lopunny from Buneary and Quilava, meanwhile Shauna uses Florges & Gothitelle [Starting with Dawn using Lopunny with a new move: Focus Blast, meanwhile Shauna is not far behind, Florges uses Moon Blast and the 2 moves explode leaving some glow (Both girls are at 90%, 4 minutes left) now Shauna uses Gothitelle with Future Sight where later the move will collide in the field and Florges uses Energy Ball with glow, also Gothitelle will help that move with Psychic, meanwhile Quilava uses Flame Wheel and Lopunny uses Ice Beam to cover Quilava, the latter destroys said comb move and impacts towards Florges (Dawn with 78% and Shauna with 62%, 3 minutes left), however, when Quilava is using Swift while Lopunny bangs that stars with Dizzy Punch, turning out to be "Spinning Stars", Florges uses Petal Blizzard trying to defend on them and Gothitelle uses Thunderbolt to repel them, it was successful and the Future Sight arrivals, hitting both Dawn's Pokemon (Dawn and Shauna, both are at 50% of points, 1 minute left), now Florges uses Petal Blizzard again but Quilava counteracts with Smokescreen, Lopunny uses Bounce and Gothitelle uses Psywave meanwhile Florges clears the field with Fairy wind, Lopunny barely dodges the Psywave and hits Gothitelle, following from Quilava using Flame Wheel to hit Florges and Lopunny uses Focus Blast (Dawn's points are staying with 50% but Shauna's points drops to 25%, time's up)] Dawn wins and faces Zoey in the next round, the episode ends with Shauna congratulating Dawn and Zoey is ready to have fun against Dawn, being that their rivalry will happen again. To be continued...
After some months, now I'm continuing with my proposals: Episode 65, Ash ans his friends are satisfied in the Pokémon Center, Dawn is excited but also a little nervous, then Zoey arrives and says that she is going to put the best show between the two possible but she also doesn't want to leave herself behind and win the Wallace Cup, Lisia arrives and she says "Good Luck to everyone, and as for you May, I want to know how you make the best possible combos" and May accepts the deal and she wants to win the round. After a few moments, theres the first semifinals: Lisia vs May, Lisia uses Altaria and Galarian Rapidash and May uses Glaceon and Venusaur (the start is Venusaur using Petal Dance and Ice Shard, Altaria and Rapidash easily counters with Cotton Guard and Dazzling Gleam as a shield, Lisia mega evolves her Altaria, looking more powerful, beautiful and brilliant, uses Draco Meteor and enchants the public Glaceon tries to protect with Mirror Coat with her partner but takes a bit damage (Venusaur too) [Lisia at 90% and May at 70%, 3.5 minutes left] now Rapidash attacks with a lot of Psycho cut, Venusaur uses Vine Whip, Glaceon uses Secret Power to balance her partner and made the Vine Whip more poweful, being a comb move, and it works, returning damage to Rapidash [May at 62% and Lisia at 67% 2.5 minutes left] now is May's turn, Venusaur is using Solar Beam and Glaceon uses Shadow Ball, Altaria uses Mist, trying to avoid Venusaur to use it, Galarian Rapidash counters dodging with Agility, now uses Megahorn, hitting Venusaur but still recharging, Glaceon uses Ice Shard, Altaria uses Dragon Pulse, resulting in a collision [May at 33% and Lisia at 55%, 1 minute left] Venusaur is still in the round but being tired, now Glaceon uses Shadow Ball again and Venusaur finally recharged the Solar Beam and attacks, combinating with the Shadow Ball, Altwria and Rapidash tries to counter the special move with their proper moves, but fails, surprising Lisia, but now she is using her style of combinated moves, Altaria uses Draco Meteor and Rapidash uses Psycho Cut but with the effect of enhancing the meteors, May tridcto counter, Glaceon using Mirror Coat and Venusaur using Vine Whip, the result is a big explosion, Glaceon and Venusaur managed to stay standing but they sre still very tired, Time's out [Lisia at 40% and May at 10%]) Lisia wins and advances to the final round. May says "oh well... we tried but it's not enough" despite this, Lisia congratulates May for making interesting moves and motivates her that she can improve her contest style, the public applauds, now Dawn vs Zoey is going next.
I really love this! BUT as in every season, Ash deserves new captures. Add his Journeys Team PLUS Ash using his other pokemon, EPIC. Double battles using Charizard and Dragonite! An episode of dragon mastery in Blackthorn City with Clair using Dragonite, Gible, Goodra, Naganadel, Noivern and Dracovish. That would make Gible evolve! Dunno so many possibilities! Revisit Saffron Gym with Gengar, receiving a gengar mega stone from Sabrina and her Gengar (ash’s Haunter). Man of course that Ash should have his Journey’s team, but in rotation with his old pokemon. And lets bring back ALL of them haha. Primeape doesn’t need more training with that random dude haha. The Alolan and Orange League Champion and Battle Frontier winner is more capable than a trainer that lost to Ash when he had only 4 badges in his first league😂
this is amazing, 10/10 video. but if i could change it, i would keep it a bracket. First for the ultra league, i would have battles representing each region, i would have ash vs ritchie, ash vs jon dickson, Ash vs drake, Ash vs Flint, Ash vs N ash vs gladion and finally ash vs alain this battle is replacing dransa. this battle would take place at the lumiose conference. Alain uses Tyranatar, bisharp and mega zard x and ash uses pikachu, lucario and ash greninja. This battle would make ash ranked 9. and then he would battle raihan. Then for the master 8. i would have Leon vs Diantha (leon wins) then Alain vs steven (Alain wins, showing his improvement since the begining) I keep cynthia vs iris the same. and Ash vs lance (both are from kanto) (ash uses Dragonite, charizard and pikachu with z move in this battle) In semi finals i would have Leon vs Alain (Leon loses only 4 pokémon and we have an amazing charizard vs charizard battle like this: ua-cam.com/video/IYlrr6OeeZQ/v-deo.html and ash vs cynthia (ash uses Gengar, Dracofish, sirfetch, dragonite, pikachu and mega lucario) and cynthia used mega evolution. And for the finale. Ash vs Leon (Ash uses Sceptile, gigantamax charizard, infernape, mega lucario, Ash greninja, and G max pikachu and his z move) Ash then finally wins and becomes world champion. Thoughts?
I was so mad they didn’t end the series with Ash battling Ho-Oh. They should have replaced Latios and Latias with Ho-Oh. Would have made so much more sense. Don’t have him catch it, just battle it. Make it a close match but Ho-Oh just gets the better of him, showing him he’s still got a lot of room to improve.
What Would YOU Change About Pokemon Journeys?! 😁 Let me know in the comments!
Some things I'd change I'd change about Ash's team
First thing. Get rid of Uglyvish
Second, I'd do one of two things with Ash's team. You could make it strictly a Galar team to give more Galar mons some shine. I'd give him a team of
Pikachu
Inteleon
Corvinknight
Urshifu
Grimmsnarl
Centiskorch
Or if you're going to have a team that represents different parts of the world, here's how I would do his squad of six
Pikachu (duh)
Inteleon (it really suits ash imo but Rilaboom could also work)
Espeon (ash deserves one let's be real)
Lucario (he was a beast, he can stay)
Flygon (could be his flyer)
Volcarona (set up a few quiver dances and this bug can shred)
His team i would want him to have
Pikachu
Lucario
Dragonite
Arcanine
Rillaboom
Drewnaw
Rotation
Corvknight
Toxtricty
For a journeys team
Pikachu
Rillaboom
corvknight
Drewnaw
Centiskorch
Urshufu
Roation
Toxtricty
Dragupult
HAVE ASH INTERACT WITH HIS COMPANIONS MORE LIKE HE DID WITH DAWN Especially Serena,Brock,May,Max (Possibly have a battle with him)
One thing they should have done is add in a hisui pokémon possibly even a starter
I also think that if had a different goal it could have been better
I like the trend of poketubers completely redoing the ending of Ash's journey. Honestly journey could have been so much better
Thanks but major props to Merph for sure!
The problem is none of them acknowledge the actual target audience - Japanese kids between the ages of 7 and 12. Like it's okay saying that Infernape and Garchomp should have a rematch but the target audience literally wasn't born then.
The cartoon can have call backs to old episodes but should also focus on new characters (Goh, Chloe, Lucario, Cinderace etc) because that lets the kids who are watching it now see the whole story of those characters
When you're making a cartoon for kids you have to think of the kids before the adults who might also be watching
Yet they chose to screw up quite a bit of it besides Ash vs Leon
@@jamesarnold7253 so what? Kids aren't the only audience nor should they be the main focus in a series that's meant to celebrate 25 years of the anime
I didn't think of that. That would've been good. I wish the tournament was longer too.
Infernape definitely was robbed. How can they just do him dirty like that?
Gee, It's an honor to be introduced to my works like this! Thanks a lot everyone to enjoy my fanfic!!
It was amazing
Truly AMAZING! Can't wait to see what's NEXT!
Amazing job
Amazing job
Really? You should've been the one to have written the anime!
Having ash use his old Pokémons, with some of them evolving in the process, the return of all the pokemon ash released.
Everything shown in this video was PEAK FICTION! This is what the PWC should've been like
I would probably switch Dynamax togekiss for mega garchomp but regular garchomp vs regular infernape is definitely alright.
I mean ash should have at the very least used his old Pokemon for the ultra class
I think Ash should've caught Mewtwo as his final Pokemon at Mt. Silver for a Rematch.
@@Jadinite-2006 Yeah, nah. Mewtwo’s good but there’s one Legendary capture far superior, and that’s Ho-Oh by a landslide
I like how murph made all of the overshadowed pokemon get some time to actually get the love that had been hogged
Edit:also ash should've caught different Pokemon if he doesn't have his original mons and also used the released mons that weren't used like pidgeot ambipom primeape Butterfree Lapras Tyranitar and Squirtle also WHY THE HELL DID POKEMON NOT GIVE US ASH VS ALAIN IN THE FIRST PLACE CAUSE IF THEY DID EVERYONE (including me) WOULD WANT TO SEE ASH GRENINJA VS MEGA CHARIZARD X BUT THE POKEMON COMPANY PROBABLY WOULDN'T GIVE US THAT
WHY DIDN'T WE GET THIS!?!
Journeys writers should be ashamed for missing so many opportunities like this
Because Journeys is MID then followed with Aim To Be MORE Mid lol
This is indeed cool, but to be fair you can rewrite any older season to give Ash cooler pokemon/battles, etc, it's not exclusive to JN.
@@Scott-ws8yt the others didn't have nearly as much missed potential aside from Black and White which was severely lackluster
Merph is a story based genuis.
@@InfamousTrainer He sure is. Even though I'd do a few things differently, he is without a doubt doing an amazing job. WAY better than whatever we had to suffer through for the last few years.
Just hearing about the Pokemon battles and the Pokemon teams gave me goosebumps
Yeah, in this story I was thinking about that with what Merph put int. But I think him being added to Ash's Team in Paldea would be cooler!
@@InfamousTraineryeah but before peldea he should catch At least one galar Pokémon but I understand this is a concept
Brooo this was great! Like you said… WHY didn’t we get this?! I absolutely loved all the panels, the art and choices made here! This went crazy!
Merph did so good with this like bulbasaur getting shine and all of ashs pokemon getting an evolution or a battle except bayleef staraptor and 29 of ashs tarous also he actually uses naganadle goodra and greninja often so merph W
I actually love this, great job as usual infamous
Bro this is lit 🔥 It gives ashs Pokémon a chance to shine in the best way possible and your right journeys should’ve done this also love the thumbnail bro 😎
This is what we should have in Journeys instead of focusing on two useless characters that serve no purpose in the anime. Other than promoting an app game and an Eevee.
This is honestly WAYYYYYY better than what we got now
Wait is this from the manga or fan made
This is what needed to happen in Journeys Ash using his old pokemon and evolving them climbing his way up to the M8 class.
Wow that was awesome! My only correction is still having him use mega evolution for some of his Pokémon (same amount as he was G Max and Z move)
This is like my dream come true. 🤩
Like literally, 'cause I had this dream around Sun&Moon's time that Ash would enter the supposed "international tournament league" and he would use his previously caught Pokemon, and even evolving them along the way.
Edit: I used "cherrypicky" twice in the same sentence like a nonce.
0:51 "But this, does put a smile on my face"
Me too. Screw that scum
Merph is an amazing artist. He killed that picture!
This would had been the perfect ending for Ash, especially having Infernape battle Cynthia’s Garchomp
It's nice to see another Galaxy-Eyes fan here, best dragon in Yu-Gi-Oh! for me.
Mega Glalie would have went hard
Amazing work, loved this^^
Agreed there
Agreed there or not.
They even realized their mistake and made this partially true in the miniseries.
I feel like the ONLY thing that could have made this better would have been giving a proper conclusion to Team Rocket's arcs.
Man this woude have been awsome seeing ash and all off his pokemon
I still say they should've ended Ash's arc with a big surprise birthday party with all his friends and pokemon throughout the series even Team Rocket would be a part of it
And he makes a birthday wish that he could see Ho-oh again and then after the party he wakes up early the next morning and he sees Ho-oh in the sky
And after that they show a montage of Ash's history throughout the series and then ends with skipping ahead a few years later with Ash as a teenager and he's still an undefeated champion
What do you think of that?
That would be dope, then after that we get the TIME SKIP!
i like how his final team of aces are basically his aces from all the regions hes travelled except for jhoto
Which didn't even have much of an ace at all really. I mean I know some consider it to be Heracross but with a bad win rate, that's unbecoming of an ace Pokemon
@coreylee05 Charizard is the better fire pick compared to infernape cos he's beaten tougher opponents
Infernape was not only useless against both Cynthia AND flint, but couldn't even beat a legendary despite all his training
Charizard not only beat a legendary but also someone who's supposed to be stronger than the elite 4
Infernape is by far ash’s greatest Pokémon
NOO charizard better
I definitely would've cried at the new ending well done 🙂
The rest of Lance's team were not what I was expecting. I mean Salamence I could get cause like Hydreigon it was part of Lance's PWT team & Aerodactyl is practically a staple in his Dragon Army, but Kommo-o was a random choice {since they signify Lance as both Kanto & Johto champ, at least give him a Johto pokemon like Kingdra}
- If anything, since Pokemon Mezastar actually did hint on other champions' pokemon before the tournament episodes had happened (like Leon's Mr. Rime), it might've been best to draw inspirations from there as they might've been factual. Like finally showing Iris' 6th member as Hydreigon and/or the other members for Lance & Steven's full teams (and if it just so happens to repeat pokemon, I think it's fine since the Masters 8 could practically be called by another name as the
End of Dragonites Tournament)
Why not Ampharos or Tyranitar?
I don't like his Journeys team taking the opportunities from the GOATs, but I still think *someone* should be catching Galarian Pokemon. Maybe if the whole tournament is in Galar, Ash's friends would each have a new Galarian Pokemon when they come to cheer him on.
As for some other changes, Casey and the Frontier Brains need to show up or be referenced at some point, and Bulbasaur should agree to finally evolve into Ivysaur (which is one of my favorite Grass types, thanks to Smash Bros.)
I like the round robin idea, but I think it could use a couple changes:
- The battles against Leon and Cynthia mean Ash can have climactic battles with up to 12 of his all time aces, so he should use some combination of them for the two battles.
Even I can't lie this is perfect this could have been perfect for Pokemon journeys the perfect anime of the century although I do still wish that use his galar team at least some of them
Now I really hope we see Ash battling in another masters 8 tournament sometime in the future of Pokemon Horizons.
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel
I ❤️ this video and channel
Thanks you for your video and channel

Now I also want to see what happens outside of battles in the rewrite.
Infernape going to faint but Infernape activates it's blaze ability
I like the position Journeys is in tbh. The kids watching can have memories of this series in the future like how we have memories of older series. The older fans can make these really cool what ifs, and younger audiences can make memories with Journeys.
Yeah... With how much potential journeys had, what they did wasn't exactly adequate
In addition to all the fanservice we got, we should have gotten Ash's older Pokemon taking part in the biggest tournament in history. It's meant to be a 25 year celebration of the anime so may as well take every opportunity they can

I love this idea I gives all the to see all of ash's old pokemon for one last time.
The art in this is crazy 😭
Hitmontop is LITERALLY at Muk's mercy lol
Yeah, I like this version of events. Good work Infamous!🔥🔥
For me, IF I were to change things in Journeys:
-MORE & BETTER Galar representation ESPECIALLY Gym Leaders & Rivals
-Develop Goh's Scorbunny & Sobble better for their Evolution
-At The End of Moltres Episode, Mixing BOTH Old AND New Ash Mons ESPECIALLY at Masters 8
-Evolve Quilava, Gible (to Gabite), Snivy, Pignite, Scraggy, Palpitoad, & Boldore (via Trade with Goh's Boldore)
-If Goh is gonna have (begrudgingly) ALL Galar Starters, gonna make Grookey NOT annoying
-Have Chloe legit own via capture Yamper (maybe evolve to Boltund) & catch Galarian Ponyta & Rapidash
-Make Eevee G-Max
-Have The Battle of Vs. Wallace in a later Episode
-Have Proj. Mew Mission THEN Vs. Cynthia OR Leon
-Use Infernape in Vs. Cynthia
-The Leon Team would be Pikachu, Charizard, Sceptile, Greninja, Lycanroc, & Lucario
-Have the celebration party be THE LOOOONG awaited Reunion of Ash & His Past Companions & if possible past Rivals as well
I like this alot, Galar got so shafted and it would be better to see them get better reputation.
InfamousTrainer: But there will be no Goh.
Me: THANK YOU!
Yeah good riddance to that scourge of the anime
I like how Palpitoad and paul's drapion got respect
Paul's Drapion always was respected though? It sweeped half of Ash's team. Though it's exclusion in Journeys is... yeah.
I like the lycanroc is getting the love he deserves but I’m surprised that charizard didn’t make the final team
He needs it tbh, like he is the reason Ash won the League
@@InfamousTrainer yeah and people still sleep on him. I honestly just think they sleep on him cause they sleep on all of alola

Aim to be a Pokemon Master could hold that secret.. 👀 #NextRewrite.
That should've ended that way and Ashs lycanroc finally proved he's worthy against Leon taking atleast one of them.
Some things I liked about this included
A) some of his mons finally don't need to be evolved or not.
B) Greninja got the against Alain he deserved
C) it finally let the incinerator battle as an incinerator
D) Let's NOT BE real, ash using a team of veterans against Leon would have been Cool a

i like how paul returns with the 3 pokemon that desimated ash team in sinnoh
SEE, Ursaluna for the W!
I haven't gotten too far in my JN rewrite outline, but an idea I had was to bring back more reserves to help train the Journeys team to teach them new moves. An idea I really liked was bringing Torterra back so that Ash could learn how to battle with slow, tanky Pokemon to better adapt his battle style to Dynamax since the two are opposite to his fast paced, hard hitting one. he could definitely take some lessons from mons like torterra or melmetal to maximize use of Dynamax
Props off to Murph, this was AN AMAZING REWRITE
Can't wait to look into it more!
I think Melmetal would have been the better option for this scenario since his win rate was actually decent
Torterra shouldn't be teaching anyone anything when his win rate isn't worthy of recognition
@@eljordinio7647win rate doesn't necessarily equate to a pokemon's strength. take for example leon's inteleon: it has a 0% win/loss rate onscreen but is still one of the strongest pokemon in the world. both of them battled formidable opponents and regardless of torterra's winrate, it is the best case example of ash being horrible with tanky, slow pokemon. he never adapted fully to torterra's style and didn't teach it moves that would actually benefit that more. him going back to the pokemon he failed to accommodate and mastering the style would be a huge step forward for a first step for mastering dynamax
that's not to say that melmetal isn't a bad pick either. he should bring back him as well(setting up gmax melmetal for later). but I picked tortera specifically because he seemed like the best fit with his history to give ash a starting point for training
@@pokelover1743 Leon's team we've barely seen til his battle with ash so who knows how many wins Inteleon does have
Ash's torterra on the other hand is a different story. We saw his time in Sinnoh and while he was decent as a turtwig, he quickly fell from grace to the point where all he's remembered for is being a weakling. He hasn't even had any other fights after sinnoh cos Ash never bothered to pick him up again
Besides Melmetal, Goodra and Snorlax are tanky Bois and THEY weren't nearly as shameful
Melmetal also has the benefit of Double Iron Bash and having to show why it's considered a Mythical
And even if a pokemon doesn't have the most stellar record, doesn't mean you can't learn from their mistakes.
1 match that I would've paid too see is a 2v2 battle against raihan with infernape and greninja
My senpai Gekkouga was done dirty with the Ash-Greninja form being retconed due to Ash leaving, So to fix that I would have him appear in the last second to show his full power against Leon's Charizard
I like this a lot more than what we got in the anime
My only complaints are that you should have kept Gengar, Lucario and Dragonite, as I know they were fan favourites.
Not to mention Lucario was his ace in Journey's.
Also should have used Sceptile and Charziard more.
Maybe even give Sceptile and Charziard Megas (Y, so separate him from Alain's Charizard).
Or give Charizard, a G-Max.
This would also kinda result in Krookodile losing a battle which is a bummer cuz after he became a Krookodile he was undefeated
Leon could not remain undefeated forever, so Krookodile can't either
Amazing content broski keep it up ❤👍
I like this, but I still wanted Ash to catch new Pokémon.

That would be a perfect expectation for this anime and it would be totally epic, however making battle animations is not easy at all but it would be a great try, there's some speculations of what would be the important chapters for a renewed imaginary series of Pokémon Journeys:
Episode 1 is the same Pikachu Story in the beggining, then we will move to Episode 5 with the introduction of Galar, the Wyndon City, the Dynamax and the Galar Starters.
Leon vs Lance will be in Episode 10, it will be an 2v2 (Leon: Dragapult & Charizard and Lance: Gyarados & Dragonite), Ash watches the battle and Leon Wins.
Next is Episode 62, the start of the showcases with 32 coordinators
the first arriving is Lisia using Altaria (with mega like in the anime and the same presentation), next is Serena using Lilligant (her moveset is: Petal Dance, Quiver Dance, Pollen Puff and Magical Leaf), Follow Drew with Masquerain, Zoey with Mismagius, May with Glaceon, Jessie with...
After some months, now I'm continuing with my proposals:
Episode 65, Ash ans his friends are satisfied in the Pokémon Center, Dawn is excited but also a little nervous, then Zoey arrives and says that she is going to put the best show between the two possible but she also doesn't want to leave herself behind and win the Wallace Cup, Lisia arrives and she says "Good Luck to everyone, and as for you May, I want to know how you make the best possible combos" and May accepts the deal and she wants to win the round.
This was just so good❤ , Merph ❤
Thoughts?
It all according and shoutout to Merph. He killed it, I'm just showing it off with my own spins here and there.
@@InfamousTrainer but still, you killed it with the video. keep up with the good work man
I was so mad they didn’t end the series with Ash battling Ho-Oh. They should have replaced Latios and Latias with Ho-Oh. Would have made so much more sense. Don’t have him catch it, just battle it. Make it a close match but Ho-Oh just gets the better of him, showing him he’s still got a lot of room to improve.
charizard disrespect is crazy,.. he was ash's first ace he deserves to be on the final team
I feel like Charizard got his shine. Let's give Infernape some spotlight
That was so cool I love it that I got hype and more hype as the video when along.
World Championships> World Coronation
Can already tell before watching this is going to be peak
