@@maganhassan2627 Cameron doesn't deserve any sort of praise, I'll have you know. He survived only because of dumb luck and a Riolu/Lucario that was far stronger than it should've been. He was an irredeemable idiot, plain and simple.

For me, the biggest missed opportunity is that in Sun and Moon, they didn’t use the ultra beast scenario to being back Anabel like they did in the game. She was easily my favorite battle frontier brain, and the game ultra beast scenario was good
Ooh, yeah. That would've been great (not just because I am an Ash x Anabel shipper), but that would've been a great return. If they can bring Claire back in BW, why not give Anabel, a popular Frontier Brain some love
The anime has a linear timeline unlike the games though, so they'd have to invent a completely new alternate Anabel which would make the story hit a lot less hard
During XY Ash made it to the finals for the very first time! They should have atleast let his mom and oak watch the match or other characters watching on a tv screen! Luckily, Oak and Ash's mom were there during the Alola win! ;) but no Brock, Misty or any others watching it on tv...
I will never understand why the GS Ball still couldn't be used, even after they made the decision to star Celebi in the fourth movie; just make Kurt and the GS Ball relevant in said movie, and maybe the movie could begin with Kurt finally opening the ball, revealing Celebi, sparking the conflict of the film.
Biggest missed opportunities so far: 1. There needs to be more mini-arcs in Journeys. The series is tailor made for this kind of storytelling because its not tied so closely to a game. There should have been more than one episode with Korrina or Iris, and more time spent in the various regions that Ash visited. That also opens up opportunities to return more old companions and mons. Hopefully we’ll get more of that in the next season. 2. Not working “Don’t Stop Believing” into an episode title.
Agreed, the whole reserch fellow situation is reason enough to have gou and ash go out to do expedition arcs for professor Sakuragi to balance the filler and story episodes. Also, the professor needs some development. Instead we only see him the first few minutes in an episode telling ash and gou what to do and never seen again. What is his research/goal? At this point in sun and moon professor kukui was really well developed around episode 70.
Should've been the semi-finals. Then Ash at least made some progression. Instead of like getting destroyed in the semi's (in sinnoh) he would now have a close loss, where it would come to both their last pokémon. But yeah losing to a guy who only brought 5 pokémon to the quaters it is! :D
Yeah that was stupid. Like there was no point of having Virgil if ash wasn't even going to battle him Almost everyone else who was introduced for the league got to battle ash at some point (barring some of his rivals who lost to someone else like Barry, Trevor, Tierno or Bianca)
@@sooners2037 Disagree, he was skilled in DP, not strong exactly, he never felt E4 level till late XY and then late SM. DP established that you face the Elite 4 after winning the league, so you need to be E4 level to win the league, Ash just wasnt there.
I dont see where. The Battle Frontier in AG worked because there was no main rival. In DP it would have been overshadowed by the Ash and Paul rivalry if it came before the league or overshadow it if it came after. Not to mention, Paul's power based training style was because of Brandon, so there was direct competition with Kanto BF. The best thing they could have done is make Ash beat quite a lot of random CotDs to up his win ratio and give Torterra a win.
when they mentioned the battle frontier, I thought it might also have been cool if they didn't do the gym challenge for ash since he just came from beating Brandon he could have gone into Sinnoh battle frontier immediately. they should then still find a way to incorporate the gym challenge though.
@@aryamansinha6608 Sceptile, Charizard, Infernape, Pikachu, Heracross, Snorlax could have easily won the league and probably the first 2 elite four members
I agree so much on the last one. Galar is literally getting no screen time. They should of had the lab in Galar. It just makes more sense. Why does a girl raised in Kanto have a Yamper anyways? Having the lab in Galar would just make so much sense and make it atleast feel like Galar isn't getting completely ignored. I'm sure not more than 20 episodes in this series takes place in Galar. Which sucks, since the next series will probably only take place in the new region and thus Galar may stay undeveloped for ever:(

Having Ash VS Paul not be the finals is the Sinnoh league will ALWAYS be the biggest missed opportunity for me. It was perfectly setup to end the Sinnoh league in such a fantastic way. That way Ash beats Paul and he wins his first league trophy. Would’ve been such an amazing moment.

I agree with Galar being left out. He should have been stationed in Magnolia's lab, especially helping out with Sonia and her professer goal or Ash mastering his Giantamax Pickachu.
That would've given us so much world building and lore to work with right there. At the very least provide us some stronger closure after friends and rivals finish their business with Ash, like what about Paul? How did his rematch with Brandon go? DId he run into Zoey and Candice in Snowpoint City and did they watch? Was Paul confronted by Maylene for a rematch when he returned home to Velistone City (we never even seen Paul in his own hometown with Reji at all)? We could seen May, Dawn, Serena, Iris starting their solo journeys without the gang like we did with Misty and even had some follow up episodes after that. (BW and SM casts are big enough to have a few stories of their own) During XY there are ORAS plot points not even vaguely addressed like Zinnia a Dragon Trainer in Hoenn that could've been the center of an ORAS plot for Iris to deal with, or Lissia a top class Coordinator for May to compete with on a grander stage. It also could've been interesting if Max actually started his own journey with Misty acting as his traveling mentor since it was almost alluded to with their episodes. You literally could put in the inbetween episodes where Brock goes home to the Gym, or when he meets Cilan, or Cilan meeting Clemont and Bonnie, Dawn's Cyndaquil evolving, etc within these episodes.
@@pokevonforretress3761 what he is trying to say is to create another animal series base on the pokemon adventure manga, almost like twightlight wing and origin
Another missed opportunity 1. Satoshi didn't fight virgil in unova league 2. Nanu and giovanni connection in sun and moon Also cilan is actually comeback in xy but in the special episode
Most wanted Ash to lose to Virgil & his Eeveelution Team instead of Cameron, although Best Wishes was just terribly written. Ash met him & Team Eevee right before the Unova League with it being normal practice for the character to defeat him to be introduced at that point (Harrison & Tyson) or during the league itself (Ritchie & Tobias) prior to Unova.
Aging Ash in XY. This would be so epic, I feel like this would be cool because they could have made Sawyer Be Max instead and justify having Sawyer being introduced so late in the series, this would make that character even greater.
Missed Opportunity: Not introducing a Pokémon with a hidden ability in the Gen 5 anime. I still think we should see a Pokémon with a cool hidden ability show up. Probably one of the infamous ones too like Blaziken’s Speed Boost. They probably could’ve made Ash fight one during the Unova league to make his loss more convincing. Better yet I think it would be cooler if that ninja guy(Idk how to spell his name) had a Protean Greninja.
@@bigboi5016 I don't get where the Oshawott evolution rumor even comes from. There's zero evidence supporting it. But yeah, it was a tragedy we lost that two-parter. The second part even had top tier staff working on it.
If Iris returned in XY, the first thing to happen: Bonnie: You're a keeper, will you take care of my big brother Iris: ? Clement: Bonnie, I told you to stop that a million times!
One thing I think you missed Zac. Another missed opportunity from Gen 7: What is Nanu's connection to Giovanni? We saw an episode where Nanu was speaking to Giovanni on the phone about the Team Rocket trio, but we never saw any continuation from that. I wish we got an explanation behind their relationship.
During the X/Y season, they should have brought back May & introduced Lisa from the gen 3 remakes as the perfect promotion. Both showing off their contest skills to Serena while also revealing to have mega evolution with their ace Blaziken & Altaria would have been really awesome.
My personal missed opportunities: 1) Ash’s companions not getting certain Pokémon. Misty not getting a Tentacool despite how much she loves them and how common they are, Brock not getting more rock types like Rhyhorn, the 200 year old Ninetales and Nosepass, Ash not getting Eevee or Bagon, May not catching that Swabli she befriended, etc 2) Elite four being absent in a lot of the regions. None of the Johto Elite four show up at all in the anime, and it would have been cool to see Koga again as he is a Johto elite four. There also are no elite four in Unova or Kalos , which was terribly missed as an opportunity. 3) Steven Stone not having a role in the Groudon and Kyogre arc, also not having more elements of Emerald by getting Rayquaza to stop the fight. 4) No Giratina or Reverse world conflict in the Galactic showdown.
Technically only Will and Karen are absent from the Johto E4 in the main anime, since Koga, Bruno, and Lance all make an appearance. The only unfair one of the bunch being Koga since it was before he was an E4.
A very simple thing that i personally dont agree that the anime did was... give Goh Grookey... like that's for me the biggest missed/disaster they did on journeys Did they seriously just were like. "Sobble is gonna be evolved and not be seen for a while. Goh clearly needs a shoulder companion. I know let's give it grookey. Weren't we saving that one for ash?nahhhh" and Zac already covered how bad they did the grookey transaction to Goh. It was so bad...
Nah I think they've made it pretty clear that ash isn't the only main character of this show instead he is fullfilling the role of that mentor that Brock, Tracy, cilas ,and professor kukui played in their respective gen series this not getting any of the gen 8 starter instead he's getting an op team tht should be good enough to win the championship
Dragonite, gengar, lucario, sirfetch'd Pikachu and another looks like a great team if he's aiming for championship maybe he gets both of them get a version of urshifu
How come the anime doesn't use items at all during battles aside from Mega Stones, Dynamax, and Z-Crystals? They let abilities be a part of battles starting in Sinnoh and items could've added a whole new layer to the anime fights....
I think items are a weird one. If Pokemon were to hold items, they would just be holding them or have them on their back or something. If trainers had items, then what would be stopping gym leaders from calling back their Pokemon to heal them, somewhat ruining the pace of the battle. I think items other than Megas, Z-Moves and Dynamax being used is a cool idea, but think it wouldn't be as great with it's execution.
abilities were used starting in Hoenn, when they were CREATED. they didn't exist prior to gen 3. Top of my head, Ash's Grovyle used Overgrow in the battle with Norman, and Tyson's Hairyama was described by Brock as "it has a layer of fat so thick that fire and ice attacks only do half the damage they should"
Here is my list Gen 1 - Ash losing a pokemon league Gen 2 - GS Ball storyline Gen 3 - Ash fighting evil team leaders Gen 4 - Ash vs Poul in the finals Gen 5 - entire exelent story from games Gen 6 - wasted megaevolution for Ash Gen 7 - May, Dawn, Serena, and Clemont possible return Gen 8 - proper Goh early character build up in first 50 episodes , not a player using 100% catch cheat mode to get every pokemon
9:14 To be fair, we did have Clemont and Bonnie meet Cilan, but that was in a special that never aired outside of Japan and it was after Ash and Serena had left.
Technically a past companion returned in XY but we got an episode where Clemont and Bonnie met Cilan but it was a special episode that only aired in Japan.
Another on Missed opportunity in XY/XYZ for me is no real conclusion to the Evil Malamar Arc, after their machine was destroyed in their second episode, they just leave swearing vengeance and are never seen again, which is honestly a bummer since they made such a terrifying introduction just to get shafted after the second episode
Not utilizing Ash's reserves. You don't need them to completely overshadow newly caught pokemon but you can do fun one off eps like Ash entering a fighting type tournament with infernape or bringing Muk to Alola to compare it to the Alolan form
An Iris comeback in Pokémon the Series: XY with the special appearance of Drasna of the Kalos Elite Four and the return of Dr. Zager, leading a special mission for Team Rocket to catch that Rayquaza Iris, started to follow from the ending of her post-series special and being an evil rival for Clemont.
One thing I think can make up for Rainbow Rocket not being in the anime, is just having it show up in Journeys. It could be this big arc that could finally give us a battle between Ash and Giovanni that isn't just Persian destroying Pikachu in a single hit like in Unova. Plus with them going to every region, it would make more sense for Rainbow Rocket to happen in Journeys.
1. Zinnia's exclusion from the anime. Idk why they never thought to introduce her in the anime to cross promote ORAS as well, and Steven's suddenly regained his position from Wallace were not explained. 2. Trevor. Boy, he sure is Todd Snap 2.0, yet he suddenly gained a Charizardite Y and only get a short cameo? Why? Tierno and Shauna have a lot more screentime, yet Trevor didn't get much. 3. That missing evil Malamar arc. Would have been perfect to revisit this in Journeys or coincide with the Neo Flare (and maybe Emma), but nope. 4. Nanu and Giovanni's arc. They teased this so much, but nothing happens. Perfect way to have Rainbow Rocket arc 5. Zekrom in BW. What is up with the teasing when nothing happened with it later in the series aside from a duo movie? 6. No alternate forms for Delphox or Chesnaught. If the anime crew is able to convince the game developers to have Ash a special Greninja, why not the other two starters? 7. Ultra Recon Squad. If we have Dia, why not them too? 8. The entire Journeys. No joke. A lot of glaring issues are very apparent in this series that is very ridiculous to watch, tho I am still watching it because of idk, obligation and I wanna feel pain oof
One thing that I think is a missed opportunity is Ash battling either Drayden or Iris for his final badge in the Best Wishes Series. I get that they had him fight Roxie instead to promote Black 2 and White 2, but she isn't even the eighth gym leader in those games. They could've even had Ash fight Iris in a gym battle and tied that in with Iris's battle against Drayden and Drayden wanting Iris to take over for him as the Opelucid Gym Leader in the future.
I wish we had a rainbow rocket arc, it would be so awesome to see all the evil team leaders meet ash again, there would be no mercy, and ash would have no mercy because he knows how bad they all are
@@craigpeoples9883 evolve of course. Unless a Pokemon has a legit and good reason not to evolve (like Pikachu, Bulbasaur piplup and snowy cos they don't want to, or Chloe's Eevee because she can't), they should not under any circumstances be kept from evolving period
Also Casey was supposed to compete in the Johto League since at the end of the second Johto episode she said "we will see again in the league" but at the end this was scrapped , what a shame .
I know. I really liked her, she’s adorable. It felt they were setting her up to be Ash’s third rival (after Gary and Ritchie). But no. She and Ritchie got a few Pokémon Chronicles episodes and then it was sayonara forever.
Ash vs Richie would ve been amazing cuz richie was a friendly rival. Zac anime keeps giving major hints of big events. It gave riolu hints from dp and lo what happened our boy has a lucario. Garchomp hints are also given left and right throughout the anime(from dp).
Ash not fully evolving Oshawott was such a big missed opportunity. Also not bringing back a Hoenn Pokemon in XY was such a miss, we could’ve seen Corphish evolve or get Glalie some more wins. Ash should have also got Lucario in Sinnoh, but it’s placement in Journeys is just fine
6:38 I mean, its possible that it was formed after Ash's first trip through the region. After all, he didn't know what Pokemon Contests were until he reached Hoenn, but Kanto had them during the Battle Frontier arc.
One thing we missed in Pokémon journeys, which you mostly know is Zac, Ash lost a chance to battle with Ho-Oh in a filler episode 9 with a boy and his grandfather. Also, one thing we also lost was special episodes not dubbed into English too.
I totally agree with the May returning in Gen 6!! It made so much sense to promote both ORAS AND to transition Serena to going to Hoenn to do contests!!
They could’ve reused dialogue from diamond and pearl because May’s Japanese voice actor has a bad condition with her throat which is why may only makes non speaking cameos
To be fair, Ash/Satoshi not getting an eevee on his Alola team makes sense. As popular as eevee and Its evolutions are, Ash's team was clearly meant to be conformed only with pokemon introduced in Alola like in every other region. And adding an eeveelution would've take that aspect away and also would've mean take out either Melmetal or Naganadel from the team and they were important members that took down powerful pokemon and had a deeper connection with Ash/Satoshi and with some of the other team members.
I just realized , Ash could’ve left Pidgeot with Professor Oak when he went to the orange islands because that way, he wouldn’t have to release it, and it could still protect the Pidgey and Pidgeotto and whenever ash needed it, he could call it, sorta like goodra but it would live with oak or the pidgeys could have come to live and the lab
At no point has someone said: "hey, aren't you Ash Katchem: champion of the Orange league and the Alolan league, holder of over 50 badges, and defeated a Darkrai, a Latios, and Tapukoko on live tv?"
@@joskalnunez381 in fairness, I do not think the current Ash cares. I totally believe our currant Aang Ash is the braggart classic Ash was. But at some point Gou is going to be completely blindsided. Its less punchy now that he easy nabbed all those legendries and the rival he SHOULD be having with Jessie is never going to happen.
Another Mist Opportunity in the Pokemon Anime is the Zinnia Story of the delta episode in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire especially since we see Mega Rayquaza in the Mega Evolution specials of X and Y and She could’ve given Ash’s Noivern more development before the Kalos League.
I want more then anything, a reboot of the Pokemon Anime where they actually make it based on the games, featuring the game protagonists as the actual main characters and telling the story we know from the games, in the same sense they did with Pokemon: Origins, Pokemon Generations, and Pokemon Twilight Wings. I don't know why they refuse to do this but it would be the greatest thing ever.
It still upsets me a bit that Ash lost the Kalos league. They had such a big buildup that he was gonna win it but then they just said "nah charizard is cooler"
Missed Opportunities is part of what makes Pokemon as TV series so loveable. The fact that plotlines, character motivations, and reunions will never be fully shown or completed is what allows for many fun Fan theories to emerge. The show is about momentary fun per episode than a long-running storyline.
It sucks that ash isn’t traveling in Galar, that region’s whole thing is battling and with the animation in Pokémon battles looking amazing in recent years why not embrace it even more, we could have a Cocky arrogant rival in Bede, A new trainer entering the ring in Hop who sees Ash as a hurdle he must jump over to get to Leon, and Marnie a nice Tsundere rival who idk why I feel like would find a way to have a crush on ash, Leon and Sonia stay the same, the traveling companions can be Gloria(the female protagonist) and honestly for a 3rd wheel to this tricycle either a new made up character or… idk Goh but Galar edition? Ash’s team could’ve have new Pokémon like Rillaboom, Sirfetch’d and Dracovish Then have an Isle of Armor arc to take place between Ash’s 8 gym win and the league because the league then after the league we can get a Crown Tundra Arc and the Post game Galar dog arc The league can have ash battle his rivals obviously and in the end Ash beats hop and loses to Leon Post game Galar Doggo arc happens which honestly is the lamest of the 4/5 arcs of the series(Galar league, darkest day, Galar doggo arc, crown tundra, isle of armor) We can see Klara, Avery, Mustard, Peony and his daughter appear in those arcs and for each of them Ash battles Mustard and Peony For the Mustard battle Ash loses but it’s a close fight or because Mustard was a Galar champ who trained the new one it can be not even close to show the gap between Ash and Leon, but after the league Ash v Peony, it’s a tough fight but Ash pulls out on top I’d like to show the rivals progression too, we can see Hop slowly become more of a future Professor, we see Bede and Marnie in individual episodes to flesh them out, see backstories, set up there future as gym leaders
I keep wishing that the clone Pokémon would come back. Maybe some of them have been caught by now. Maybe some are leading herds/packs/flocks in the wild. Maybe they're being researched due to their implied supernatural aspects.
You should review Pokemon Adventures! It has different main characters for each region instead of just one character who gets boring very quickly and it even has a proper battle with Giovanni (maybe two or three though) who becomes a sort of goodish guy even though he's still in charge of his organisation.
I think palpitoad had a lot of potential like a charizard dissobidient arc since it's one of the few pokemon ash didn't bond before catching it. He could have had a lot more personality and then my favoirte unova ash mon and 5th favorite all time mon wouldnt be hated as much
For me one of the biggest disappointments is ash not getting more than six pokemon kinda like black and white i wish he would rotate his pokemon but better because black and white was a mess
I wish the Team Rainbow Rocket ark could have happen to some degree. Maybe not have all previous villains return, but Team Rocket could have taken over the Aether Foundation and kidnapped Lusamine and the other employes there. And at the ending of it I could have imagined Giovanni disappearing thru an ultra wormhole which would result in Matori taking over Team Rocket and ruling it with an iron fist.
In general the region hopping in Journeys leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the time it’s a generic town, city or forest, not really drawing on the over two decades of continuity to show it’s been to these places.
2:37 If Jessie, James and Meowth kept that persona during X and Y it would've raised a lot more stakes Edit: Honestly we were robbed of a Gym Battle between Ash and Drayden.
I would really like to see Team Rocket trail Ash to Unova again in Journeys, where they would remember their heists like the subway one, and be like "Wow, we were really serious with that one! Maybe too serious...!"
Agreed realistically Ash should have gotten all 10 of Unova's Badges. The Unova Anime should have gone to Opelucid City for at least 3 Episodes before going to Virbank City. Best Wishes was poorly written from the beginning, & Iris suffers from it.
Breezing through the Darkest Day Arc without any prior build-up, explanation or motivation for venturing forth. Even the capture of Eternatus has no impact on the plot thus far, despite it being such a big deal.

I agree though I wanted to see Ash & virgil battle heck hopefully pokemon journeys shows this to us then instead
@@maganhassan2627 Cameron doesn't deserve any sort of praise, I'll have you know. He survived only because of dumb luck and a Riolu/Lucario that was far stronger than it should've been. He was an irredeemable idiot, plain and simple.

The battle was overall cool to me at least maybe not the best so that to me at least deserves to give praise to the kid again for the interesting & cool things he done don't underestimate him just because of a no. Of mistakes he did
He could of lost to Ash no matter how many pokemon he brought but he didn't with that battle with his 5 pokemon... the lucario in particular beat pikachu that was a great battle there to me at least 🤷♂️

Also, they don't even mention that he's a champion throughout Journeys. At all.

Even then. If you want the movie and storyline in the anime to be separate, have the celebi be a shiny one that way theres at least some difference

Biggest missed opportunities so far:
-The fact that ash never faced Virgil in the unova league
-Why didn’t Zekrom appear after the 1st few episodes
Should've been the semi-finals. Then Ash at least made some progression. Instead of like getting destroyed in the semi's (in sinnoh) he would now have a close loss, where it would come to both their last pokémon. But yeah losing to a guy who only brought 5 pokémon to the quaters it is! :D
People would’ve been less salty if Ash lost to Virgil than Cameron.
@@vaporterraFacts at least it would of made sense
Yeah that was stupid. Like there was no point of having Virgil if ash wasn't even going to battle him
Almost everyone else who was introduced for the league got to battle ash at some point (barring some of his rivals who lost to someone else like Barry, Trevor, Tierno or Bianca)
@@vaporterra yeah cos Virgil has more experience and unlike Cameron, is NOT a complete idiot

Which sucks, since the next series will probably only take place in the new region and thus Galar may stay undeveloped for ever:(
Seriously Ash battling N could've had the most epic battle of truth and ideals in the first place.

Pokémon Chronicles needed to be a full anime series.
There, I said it.
I loved Pokemon Chronicles. At the very least it should’ve been a thing for like 10-20 episodes every series.
(BW and SM casts are big enough to have a few stories of their own)
During XY there are ORAS plot points not even vaguely addressed like Zinnia a Dragon Trainer in Hoenn that could've been the center of an ORAS plot for Iris to deal with, or Lissia a top class Coordinator for May to compete with on a grander stage.

Why do you put spaces in front of your commas?
They really should revisit that in the series sometime, even if they just say "Oh, yeah, that GS ball was empty!"
Man This goes to show what could've been
My personal missed opportunities:
1) Ash’s companions not getting certain Pokémon. Misty not getting a Tentacool despite how much she loves them and how common they are, Brock not getting more rock types like Rhyhorn, the 200 year old Ninetales and Nosepass, Ash not getting Eevee or Bagon, May not catching that Swabli she befriended, etc
2) Elite four being absent in a lot of the regions.
A very simple thing that i personally dont agree that the anime did was... give Goh Grookey... like that's for me the biggest missed/disaster they did on journeys
Did they seriously just were like.
If items were used in the anime, then Ash would have spammed using potions in the Pokemon league like we do!
Top of my head, Ash's Grovyle used Overgrow in the battle with Norman, and Tyson's Hairyama was described by Brock as "it has a layer of fat so thick that fire and ice attacks only do half the damage they should"
I wish we had a rainbow rocket mini arc in Alola for the anime
Here is my list
Gen 1 - Ash losing a pokemon league
Gen 2 - GS Ball storyline
Gen 3 - Ash fighting evil team leaders
Gen 4 - Ash vs Poul in the finals
Gen 5 - entire exelent story from games
Gen 6 - wasted megaevolution for Ash
Gen 7 - May, Dawn, Serena, and Clemont possible return
Gen 8 - proper Goh early character build up in first 50 episodes , not a player using 100% catch cheat mode to get every pokemon
Even after generation 8 anime has ended recently I am still keeping the same opinion.
9:14 To be fair, we did have Clemont and Bonnie meet Cilan, but that was in a special that never aired outside of Japan and it was after Ash and Serena had left.
Oh how i really wish I could see N in the anime pursue his ideals and an epic clash bw ash and N

I can’t believe Zach left out Ash battling Vergil and beating Cameron
I just realized , Ash could’ve left Pidgeot with Professor Oak when he went to the orange islands because that way, he wouldn’t have to release it, and it could still protect the Pidgey and Pidgeotto and whenever ash needed it, he could call it, sorta like goodra but it would live with oak or the pidgeys could have come to live and the lab

Missed opportunity in Sinnoh: Ash with Garchomp
Ash’s team could’ve have new Pokémon like Rillaboom, Sirfetch’d and Dracovish
Then have an Isle of Armor arc to take place between Ash’s 8 gym win and the league because the league then after the league we can get a Crown Tundra Arc and the Post game Galar dog arc
The league can have ash battle his rivals obviously and in the end Ash beats hop and loses to Leon
Post game Galar Doggo arc happens which honestly is the lamest of the 4/5 arcs of the series(Galar league, darkest day, Galar doggo arc, crown tundra, isle of armor)
We can see Klara, Avery, Mustard, Peony and his daughter appear in those arcs and for each of them Ash battles Mustard and Peony
For the Mustard battle Ash loses but it’s a close fight or because Mustard was a Galar champ who trained the new one it can be not even close to show the gap between Ash and Leon, but after the league Ash v Peony, it’s a tough fight but Ash pulls out on top
I’d like to show the rivals progression too, we can see Hop slowly become more of a future Professor, we see Bede and Marnie in individual episodes to flesh them out, see backstories, set up there future as gym leaders
why didn't his gible evolve into garchomp
Yeah if goodra could fully evolve quickly what stopped gible?
Ash should've caught a Braviary
Agreed, that pokemon would have suited him better!
I keep wishing that the clone Pokémon would come back. Maybe some of them have been caught by now. Maybe some are leading herds/packs/flocks in the wild. Maybe they're being researched due to their implied supernatural aspects.
That would be awesome! :O
It's always a good day when Lumiose Trainer Zac uploads!
You should review Pokemon Adventures! It has different main characters for each region instead of just one character who gets boring very quickly and it even has a proper battle with Giovanni (maybe two or three though) who becomes a sort of goodish guy even though he's still in charge of his organisation.
Cilan came back in Kalos he just came to the region after Ash left.
It still irks me to this day that Sun & Moon didn’t elaborate on the Giovanni/Nanu connection.
2:37 If Jessie, James and Meowth kept that persona during X and Y it would've raised a lot more stakes
Edit: Honestly we were robbed of a Gym Battle between Ash and Drayden.
