Powerlifters are generally stronger, bodybuilders try to create a specific visual look, like a sculptor. They may also be strong but it is not the most important thing to bodybuilders.
actually a weightlifter does the clean and jerk and snatch. And it's technical and the amount of weight locked out over head is the goal and asceticism or body doesn't matter.

There’s nothing wrong with being a regular person and training in a manner that is both for hypertrophy and personal records in terms of lifting capacities. You can have the best of both worlds.
