@@mickeyology5180 The neat thing about December 1st 1954 and December 3rd 1958 is that they both were on Wedenesday in their respective years. I’ll take any year set during the decade of the 1950’s before 1959 because I always enjoy taking movies as actual events. Having 101 Dalmatians take place in 1960 would interfere with my belief that the filmmakers first have to hear the story from the characters in the film.

Actually on the newspaper that Cruella reads after the puppies were stolen it is written November 2 1958(which was a Sunday). I think that this date is canon, and not the calendar in Anita and Roger's house because the maid simply didn't remember to update it.

@@giuseppecoretti98 In my view, movies and books are based on actual events that happened. I like to imagine the authors get the story from news or hear the story from the characters. The original Dumbo book was published in 1939. So with that, I believe Dumbo takes place in Spring 1938. That gives Helen Aberson time to have heard the story and begin pinning it to be published in 1939.

we know peter pan return to neverland takes place in london durring world war 2 and by then Wendy is an adult so making a guess id say around the late 20's or early 30's

Peter Pan was first performed in Winter 1904/1905. So I say it takes place in Winter 1902-Spring 1903. Wendy would have been born in Summer 1890. I know Wendy has a daughter Jane in the book. I believe Jane must have been born in late 1925/early 1926 and she meets Peter in Spring 1938. That's my thought.
British and European calendars have the week starting on Monday, so that would be a Thursday start month 1960 had December staring on a Thursday, as did 1955.
