Pls. Also cover phyllodes tumor of breast. Most of the people are not aware of this type and its treatment. I am going through the treatment of this and experiencing that even doctors are not able to explain it fully to patients.

It is great to see information about Lobular Breast cancer.
I am a 17 year survivor. I had adriamyocin (sp)-cytoxin and taxol chemo first. A mastectomy with sentinel node biopsy and an implant in the same operation. I took six months of Arimidex, but could not handle the stomach ache side effect.
All through treatment, and for nine months after surgery, I was treated by a naturopath who used biofeedback to dose me with supplements that matched what my immune system needed to “chase any cancer cascade that might be taking place.” My assessment, not the naturopath’s words.
I also realized that the estrogen suppressor was causing osteoporosis for me.
That tumor was 6 cm at diagnosis. It came and went with my period, like normal tissue. It was painful. After three months there began to be residual tissue after my period. This residual tissue got bigger after each period. I could feel the weight of this “thing” pulling under my arm. It was big and sloppy, not really a lump.
I have read from Susan Love that ten percent of breast cancers are Lobular, but I wonder if it is not more common than 10%. I know four other people who have had it! And I live in a small community. I am not in a survivors support group, so I don’t know hundreds of breast cancer patients or survivors.
I do know one of these women died. She had surgery before chemo from a newly graduated general surgeon. I wondered at the time if he went in expecting a well defined ductal tumor, and found himself in over his head. She had chemo to followup, but had multiple metastases over a period of three years.
NOW - is there research about the use of pellet HRT for Lobular survivors?

I have a friend who had a cluster of lobular tumors which, before a MRI, had been called “a tumor”. I guess people could have a cluster of both ductal and lobular.
