- I hit the beach today to tell you about all the fun stuff I have coming for authors. First up is the free Facebook Ad Image Workshop. I'm going to share a simple method anyone can follow to turn your book cover into a winning Facebook Ad.
We'll cover some of the changes to the platform, a little bit of buyer psychology, and how to communicate your genre with an ad image so you can find your ideal readers. And you can find out how to get your book featured too!

And you can grab all those freebies I spoke about by signing up to my book marketing newsletter, which goes out each Friday: davidgaughran.com/newsletter - Навчання та стиль
First episode of the Image Workshop is live! ua-cam.com/video/_RX3FSGRejI/v-deo.html
I can't wait! You always produce quality content!
Thanks for coming back to help us all! You have no idea how valuable your info/courses/you are!!
Just when I’m getting ready to start marketing a new series. You’re a gem. And you keep making me want to visit Portugal, which isn’t a bad thing either.
Yay.... David is back.
Thank you for helping us!
Two thumbs up, David. Discovered you only recently but immediately liked what you share and appreciated it that you share it. As for videos to promote books, per happenstance -- if anything like that exists -- I came across John Kremer, also known to have helped marketing over one billion book copies and see how he uses videos. This inspired me to create book trailers and book scenes to which I added score and SFX to the text over the images in motion only to get feedback such as this by a younger filmmaker colleague: "For the first time in my life I discovered that I like to read." It is fairly easy to create clips even avoiding templates to retain the originality of a book. "Que legal," they would comment in Brazil and I bet in Portugal, meaning "cool."
Thanks so much, David, I really need help creating my images.
Welcome back!
Right on time, because I struggle with Facebook ads too. Looking forward to whatever wisdom you have to share, and welcome back! 😊
Can't wait to see all the new content! Where are you at by the way? Looks gorgeous there!
It's a lovely town called [redacted] in Portugal
Thank you! #openaccess
👏
FYI:
The sound is only on the left channel.
Oooh thanks for letting me know - testing a new mic and obvs messed up somewhere!!
Figured it out - I paired both mics when testing and forgot to unpair the second. I'm a dope!

You’re not a dope!
THE LEGEND IS BACK 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Still spilling all the secrets for free, I see. That's why I've admired and respected you going on 15+ years now (time:omg). Also, what an awesome coast! *envy* Hope the new house and office work out splendidly. I'm totally out of the pub game now, but I'll be following your vids just as religiously as I follow your newsletter. So good to see you here again! I've truly missed you.
Great to hear from you Phoenix!!!
awesome :)
Have you ever tried video-based ads? I've heard lots of people getting results on those, but I almost find it hard to believe 😅
I find value in them but it's a more advanced strategy for experienced advertisers IMO
The advanced strategy, in short, involves running an Engagement campaign optimized for video views to a colder, broader and cheaper audience, with no hard sell at all, just interesting content, then creating a Custom Audience from those who engage, and then remarketing with a harder sell Traffic campaign pointing at Amazon or perhaps a leadgen ad, depending. But that's for more experienced advertiser's as it has a few extra steps.
@@DavidGaughran Thanks for the reply! That's fascinating.
@@asherscott3151 I will totally cover that in more detail in a future video or newsletter. Actually I think we're covering custom audiences in my newsletter soon so keep an eye out for that - we'll definitely touch on it.
