      Hey man, I have a question! You inspire me a lot to workout, but with all this coronavirus I cant even go to the park to make some pull ups :( I would love to have a pull up bar like this, but my Door frames are kinda old, what is your opinion about the bars that kind of press in the Door? Or can you recommend other pull up bar for home exercise?

    I did this workout for fifth time now and for the first time I did it whole correctly. I did everything like him and I'm so proud of myself that I didn't need extra rest and did all pull ups. You can see my progress, so don't be lazy and repeat it until you get it done whole. Good luck!

      I do 8x8 20 sec rest. Palms facing each other grip. Near perfect form no swings but sometimes at the end I dont hold a bit up or I dont do the full hang. And at the end of my program i do 8x8 one time is the chin up grip and one time is the pull up grip. Also 20 sec rest. Scapula pull up messed up my shoulder twice for some reason so I avoid it but I definitely want to add the high ,low and middle holds. In general I want to try this just without the scapula thing just to see if I can do it 😊

      @@dhruvarjun5 they haven't destroyed my shoulders. I had some weakness there that I wasn't aware.
      Normal pull ups, muscle ups chin ups work fine with me plus the holds and by that logic I thought if I can do that complex movements what is a lil movement like the scapula for me to do and at the end after 3x in separate time periods. ( more months between ) i felt pain in the shoulder that stayed for a week or so. All 3 times. I dont know if it's dangerous but that's what happened in my case

      Would you recommend sticking to pull ups for beginner-average people and going to the gym once a week to fill in and do a full body workout? I have this sick gym in a forest where I live but it's quite far.

    • @rdg665
      @rdg665 4 роки тому +8

      @@coolchannelnumber1 Except that as a average beginner you can't do any pullups and you still need to learn pullups AND also get enough reps in your tank to be able to do more than 1 set of 5 before being unable to do 2 reps in a row , And this will basically take a good amount of time
      And you as an average person you don't know how your scapula works and don't know how to control it and learning this with something like the low cable row or lat pulldown is very effective and fast and they also will activate your sleepy muscles EXTREMELY well.
      Which means compensating with weight training will work very well as a beginner until you can get 8 clean reps for 3 sets
      In conclusion a beginner can't just walk up to a pullup bar and decide to do only pullups , Because that's not possible without training !

    Just want to say thank you so much for this video! I know it's a bit older video now but still very helpful. I have about the same exact bar set up the same way in my door. I've been doing a lot of close grip stuff and been having some problems almost hurting my arms / shoulders a few times. This really helped me correct a lot a lot of things! : )

    Austin you should try the Khanh Trinh pull up bar. Waaay better than the door pull up bars G.

    0:52 Should your feet be off the ground for scapula pull ups?
    I can’t see your legs when you do scapula pull ups.
