- I already have one manual push reel mower and two Mcclane real mowers. however I've never used or had a true golf course Greensmower. Today I made that change and bought a used TORO Greensmaster 1000.

I've been picking out wood chunks from my compost mix. Have you ever hit one of those and does it to much damage?
@@kove I have and it has not done any damage, but I heard it can. It hasn't happened much, but I try to keep it clean no matter what.

Not at all! It only needed a quick wash, air in the tires, and 3 clicks of adjustment for perfect bedknife contact. I wish I bought two!

Congrats on the mower. I used to put an aerator in my Prius. It's amazing what fits in them
They were incredibly well engineered. For 100,000 miles I've done nothing except change oil every year with synthetic. I downgraded from a ram 1500 strictly because of the maintenance costs, Zero regrets!

Same reaction here lol. My cut off was $600 for the 1600, and 400 for the 1000. If the others are the conditions of my 1000, I would have bought several of them. But that's the thing with not knowing the full status beforehand.

I'm going to go through the lawn with a comb looking for rocks and sticks. Can not wait to use it! That was a great deal for a 220! How long were you looking for one before finding it?
@@kove Just a couple months. There were a lot of them for cheap back then. I tried to get a Toro, but they were 10hrs away in Boise. I'm extremely happy with my JD 220C, I'm not sure why more people don't look for a JD. They are both great reel mowers.

I love mine too! I keep breaking the front right roller bracket though. Need to be more careful transitioning from yard to sidewalk in a few areas.

@@kove I took on a putting green project like you did but I stupidly put down a weed and feed product that contained mesotrione and it killed everything. I was getting such great germination with the bent seed too. It gutted me. But I'll try again next year. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I checked any and all websites with them listed in my area. It took over a year to find a good match. In short-patience.
