  • The first mow on the Perennial Ryegrass today with the Toro Greensmaster 1000! This is one of my favourite mows on this lawn. It's always awesome to see the lawn like this after doing a complete lawn renovation.

    I can't get over how quickly your yard evolves. My lawn looks the same for weeks. Yours goes through multiple renovations, bore installations, scalps, etc. in 4 days

      rainey06au I think the key is aeration, correct me if I’m wrong

    • @phronesismeister
      @phronesismeister 4 роки тому +2

      @@productproduction21 Yes, aeration is beneficial, but just as important are regular irrigation and fertilization

    • @LawnTips

      Aeration is a huge key.
      Topdressing and overseeding was a huge help as well. Plus the watering schedule 👌🏽

      Depends on what lawn you have ive found. This lawn we see in the video is absolutely crazy but all i do here in Victoria is water the lawns on dusk and try keep them long and cut every weekend. Every so often i wont catch it so the grass acts like a fertilizer im guessing and the ask from the pot belly ash gets spread around where its not growing and in 2 weeks with a bunnings airrator thing and some seed and feet mix. Maybe im doing it worng but it definitely works a treat.

    i turn 18 in a couple weeks and i’m the one who mows the lawn in my house, i just got a beaten up riding mower and an acre of land so it takes about 45 mins front and back since my mowers messed up, i literally weed whack (whipper snapp i think you call it? i’m from states) every other time i mow and i mow maybe once a month, so everything you do i’ll probably never do but it’s so interesting to watch your videos

    Peat moss can also cause disease by holding to much moisture especially with certain turf grasses, more so with bermuda and bentgrass. For greens mix thats why we use 5% at most 10% and the rest sand, with fairways and tees we use more but for those who over water or water at the wrong time so the grass stays wet for a extended period allowing for disease, Peat can do more harm than good. Wetting agents and growth regulators have been proven to help more moisture but not so much like Peat

    Could someone please explain how the grass has those lines in it? Is it multiple passes? Just the direction of the cut? Or is it a change in height?

      It’s from the way the grass is laying 👍🏽 so the light green is the grassing laying away from you, the dark green is the grass laying towards you. It’s done with the rollers on the reel mower.
