The jobs listed are for CASUAL workers; part-time work to earn "fun" money. Those seniors who have their house paid off and retired from good jobs. One who is over 60 looking for a job to pay LIVING EXPENSES will have a hard time finding work. They likely got let go from a good paying job and worked for those that got to retire comfortably (CEOs) . The people hiring are under 45 and do not want to hire anyone old enough to be their mom/dad.
@@lorichovan1121 Many times it's about attitude/positive energy. I'd take an energetic "older" candidate over a "younger" sour tooth applicant any day. And ... wouldn't want to work for a company that exhibits age discrimination anyway!!
Telemarketing offers a great opportunities also. I mention that because i am working in that field and if you love to talk with people...that could be a good place to look at.
Great ideas, but where do you go to get these jobs? In person is one thing but online? If I want to be a personal assistant or online teacher/tutor, where do I go? I would love to be a tour guide. How do you find out about these? This information would be helpful too. Thanks for all the ideas.
I paid up all my mortgages in 2yrs while working with a Financial Adviser. I’m 50 and my husband 54 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. We got to realize that the secret to financial freedom is making better investments.
@@martingiavarini My advisor is ‘’Catherine Morrison Evans’’ she’s highly qualified and experienced in the financial market. She has extensive knowledge of portfolio diversity and is considered an expert in the field. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market
The employers start weeding out older people in technology, at 40, 45, 58. But, if you are older then 58, no one wants to hire you in technology, and anything "virtual".
Contact your local home care companies. They usually will train you for the job. I know in my area there is a lot of demand for this! Look in local paper classifieds and online job boards such as indeed.com too. Good luck!
(Don't understand) - Landscaper, Delivery Driver, Museum Guide - many on the list are outside the home. Also, Election Judge/Poll Worker, Mystery Shopper, Receptionist at senior facility or recreational facility are others outside the home.!
Many of the jobs in the video and the written post are on location jobs that will provide socialization too. Socialization is one of the key reasons many seniors choose to keep working.
I don't think you need to worry about that. There is plenty of bias against seniors, and often they can pay younger people less, so we will not be taking all of their jobs anytime soon. Also, many seniors are helping support their adult children and grandchildren - I know several who are, so they HAVE TO WORK.
Senior Citizens must live too. Youths go for money so they can have a good time and not worry about the time they become senior citizens. Sis are consistent and loyal.
When seniors can support themselves, Its a big help to the community. When they are able to do what they love, Seniors have a more fullfilling healthier lives.

Interesting! Lots of wisdom to share for sure!
The House and Senate are bona fide retirement homes without term limits. This needs to change.
