I have had Avicii's Tribute live on the home page for almost 3 years since he passed because he left that big of a mark on me and why Proximity was even created. He gave me a passion and love for dance music that so few artists have ever/will ever. In honor of his birthday - this special upload commemorates just a few of many, including me, who he's touched by creating an original song inspired by Tim. Hope you all enjoy.

I have been listening to him since 2015. He inspired to be an edm artist and showed me a world I never thought possible
I knew him since 2012 and I loved all his tracks
Tim was the person who made me fall in love with music, so I started studying music production, Tim will be forever in our hearts❤️🙏❤️
He was the reason I started making music.
He inspired me not just as a musician, also as a person.
I'm missing him and his music so much.

Tim's music always sparks an emotion within the listener. The listener can gauge how Tim was feeling during the making of the song. He was brilliant. He was the reason why I started making music. RIP Legend!! ❤️❤️🎶🎶

*I first heard his Levels on our local radio. The moment I listened to it, I was hooked! I have no idea how many times I played the song on loop on UA-cam. Started following his music since. Each song or album he released, I listened to it in 24 hours because Avicii and his music played an immense role when I was down and during my tough times. His music was a medicine to me. If it was a song by Avicii, I knew I'd never be disappointed because he doesn't disappoint. His melodies are of another world and no one can match his skills and his music level as him.*
*I was devastated to find out about the death of Avicii that I was seriously heartbroken, it was a major loss for the whole of music industry. I still wish I could listed to a few of his unreleased masterpieces, if only someone as good as Avicii could complete them.*
*Thanks a lot for making my childhood and my life so much better, Avicii. I hope you Rest in Peace. You are and always will be a legend for us all!

Going to be a long time before someone with Avicii's abilities becomes the next "Avicii", I don't even think someone can replicate it, he was so creative and diverse but is music is all so familiar. Truly unique.
The moment I heared he passed away I didn't believe the news and thought it was a hoax. I was astound when I saw the news later that night on Facebook and rememberd the 100s of times I listend to wake me up and hey brother. The moments I was bullied and the times I played minecraft to forget the bullieing.

If it wasn't for my dad i would never know about Tim in the first place. 2013 was his peak in which I listened to "wake me up" and "you make me"
I have been listening to him for over 8 years now and I know many more will follow. His music makes the listener feel a swarm of emotions. Many songs taught you lessons and took you on journeys(albums+mvs) too. I will forever be grateful to have found out about him. I truly hope he is happy and at peace now. Thank you.❤💖💓

I remember hearing Wake me up for first time years ago, i instantly fell in love with his music and i keep listening to his songs every day. Whenever i hear his music i became happy, he'd left a big legacy behind him thats for sure.

I love this track, it makes me feel an actual human. it makes me feel so much better, it takes me to the right direction. I really needed this!! we still got hurt by Avicii. I know it has been tough, but people kinda talk about how much pain we had about him passing away. But from now on I think we should move on and look at the things that he has done for the music industry, the love and care he did put in all his songs. We can only learn from this guy because even how much we would wish he was still here to make music. He won't come back, so just take all the love and inspiration out of it and start to inspire the world yourself! Just listen to this track there are so much inportant messages. Just want to share mine . I remember how i fell inlove with the vibes of wake me up way back summer 2013. Since then i also fell in love with Tim. It just that i was young to attend his concert here at philippines. Feel so jealous to those who met him personally. Then i promise to my self that I'll going to have his logo as my first tattoo and I'll be at sweden one day❤️❤️❤️ .
I remember when I found 'Waiting for love' when I was about 8 years old and I listened to it a lot for that time, because I wasn't that into music back than and that was one of the first EDM songs I ever heard.
And it is also interesting how I just can't get enough of 'Waiting for love', which is my favourite song from Tim and no doubt one of the best EDM songs ever, and 'The nights' which also has a big place in my heart. I've listened to these songs soooo many times and most of the songs get stale if you listen to them that many times, but not Avicii's - and that's just one of the reasons why his name will always be remembered as one of the best EDM producers/DJs

I liked Tim's music since early 2010s. When True came out, he became one of my favorites. But Stories was what cemented himself as my undisputed #1. It left me in awe how someone could experiment with so many genres and yet still be instantly recognizable. Especially for a DJ who obviously didn't sing. Tim had this amazing talent of leaving his soul in any of his music, and when he passed, it made me realize his soul and music resonated with me even more than I thought.
I want to somehow come up with a way to neatly end this comment, but I'm at a complete lost. My head can't come up with any words and my heart feels like it's too broken to do it. I got nothing.
He was the greatest of them all for our EDM community
Avicii is still in my top 5 of favourite artists (Random order: Avicii, Kygo, Logic, G-Eazy, Coldplay). RIP TIm. I will listen to your music for the rest of my life. I only need to go to a concert of coldplay and then seen them all live.
