The most underrated song of Avicii on UA-cam. At least it gets a decent playback on Spotify. This song is just so beautiful (especially the drop part, it made me cry when i listened to it again after he passed away). It's such a beautiful song that can only be made by Tim himself

This song makes me imagine a city filled with neon lights as a torrential downpour is occurring, the lights are slightly blurred I’m somewhere in the distance by myself on a hill preferably watching the city and the rain.. without a care about getting wet. I’ve escaped life, I’m gone with just myself for company and my thoughts, my emotions are everywhere and it feels like they flow out with the rain.
Then as the bass drops I imagine neon streaks flying across the sky above the city and above me... like flashes of a galaxy below the dark and gloomy clouds.
And as I sit there and it gets darker.. I appreciate what I have a bit more, for now I’m alone. I have none of it, only the sights I see as companionship and the rain to to listen to.

Avicii has a signature sound, signature ryhtm, signature beat. Some of other producers are trying to copy him but as always you can't copy Legends. He's not a Gold, he's a Diamond and he's rare. EDM Community has an empty hole without a Tim Bergling. Always remember Tim would be happy if we know him as Tim Bergling rather than Avicii.

I can never choose a favourite song but on each album there is at least one song I'm not that keen on. Not with Stories. I love every song. His music was, and still is, ahead of its time. I was staring at the ceiling while listening to this and just thinking about how good his production is/was. Every song of his is a masterpiece

I listened to it quite a few times and honestly for the first time when I heard it it felt like noise to me. The poetry in the lyrics felt like written by a small child. Then I perused the comments and found that many people felt very touched by the music, the song, so I listened to it a few more times, thinking I could trick my brain into liking it out of familiarity. But I couldn't, the machinist voice and the overly perfect repetitive beats were too jarring for me.
Then I realised that I was looking at it wrong. It was a piece of someone's identity. No one else in the world could make that type of music, and that person was no more with us. So I listened to it again, and the poetry of the words took a new light, man. The repetitive beats became meditative, both in the beginning and at the end. It still followed the rules for music. The voice still felt alien, but that is what the music, the song expected me to feel. The words are short and easy, making it familiar but the voice was different than expected everytime. This very aloofness was being described in the song itself. This is why the song took a new flight in meaning. I was mind blown when it finally clicked, when I heard, " Birds will sing if we fall." I had just become one of the many who revered this song for its uniqueness, from someone who felt this was just noise. I fell for it in that instant.
And the last time I heard it, I was too deep in meditation to the end beats to realise that the music was over a few minutes ago, and I was listening to music that my brain had conjured up. If that is not true art I don't know what that is. Thank you for this.
