I love my Yairi, plays so easy whenever you pick it ip
Alvarez and Sire guitars are the best price to performance guitars for all of us not belonging to the EU/US…
I have an old Alvarez AD60 I’ve been playing for 7-8 years and I couldn’t be more happier with it..
My Sire H5 is an “Indonesian E355” but it plays and sounds just as good as any Gibson I’ve played over the years..
Let’s just be grateful that these brands exist for us…
🍺
I'm in the US. I had a Chinese made AD60 lefty that was a great guitar for $350. Only sold it when I got an American made Taylor. Would recommend AD60 highly!
Just got my 1st Alvarez - a parlor - So, so happy with it. Loving the quality and sound.
I'd absolutely love a Yairi one day. Definitely one of my dream guitars
Huge Alvarez fan here- I imagine you all used the plugged in sounds because it was the only way to get clean audio, but it did not do these guitars any favors. If at all possible, let’s get a mic on them and hear the guitars rather than those transducers.
Aggree with you on that. Im sorry, but all i hear is quack out of the LR BAGGS HIFI. They would of been better Off with a K&K IMO.
@@anthonylane9547 they surely had a great deal on buying baggs in bulk/being a partner. K&K is a different animal
All plugged in acoustics, sound the same - lousy.
I feel ya, generally, yet thru my good car stereo...these sound pretty balanced, nice low end/ high end response. Still not perfect, but pretty good to this sound guys ears!
The problem is pickups sound better through speakers, moving air, not direct into a recording device .
So it’s really hard to hear their effectiveness since they aren’t being used in the context they were designed for.
I'm so happy and proud of Alvarez for doing the Laureate series!!! Way to go, Alvarez!!! Thank you. Sean
I have an AJ80 12 string with LR Baggs pick up system. It's the best 12 string I've ever played. Sounds fantastic acoustically or plugged in and plays like butter. Really impressed with Alvarez.
Loving the Alvarez guitars ! Very nice ! 👍🎶
The action on Flamenco guitars is generally low so that the player can make the strings buzz deliberately.
Very Cool, Thankyou. WOW, love that 'Burst' on the first 2 Guitars. Awesome. That Black cutaway with 'wood' sides and back is Amazing. And Pete's Playing stunning as Always, really highlighted the Quality of these Guitars. Nice Work. All The Best. Cheers
Great sounds from great guitars.
they sound horrible no idea why would you plug an acoustic in using piezo as it removes the actual guitar from sound equation whatsoever
Was really hoping for a monster Alvarez sale like another shop did last January ‘:) can’t wait to get an artist series
Such amazing new introductions. Alvarez is showing that they are a force to be reconned with.
Impressive!
I have an old Alvarez 5082N I like very much. It’s a Thinline maybe called a Fusion guitar.
Just noticing that Pete's nametag says "Danish Pete" 🤣. Really leaning into it.
I've got some of his patches I believe for ToneStudio.
Peter unplugged was very chill and introspective with no one around to hear his typical d0ng and flatulence jokes. Made for a nice Sunday afternoon watch. Now give him back his Tele and let’s get back to normal 😂
How are the UK customers supposed to buy a Yairi?
I bought mine from the US and had it shipped to the UK
I have an Alvarez 8 string baritone. Really like the guitar but find the jumbo is just too way big for me. Any chance of an OM sized version?
No chance, small bodies are bad for low notes.
The string spacing on the 8 string baritone is bizarre. Why did they do that?
Where they are manufactured?
Alvarez is made in China, and their Yairi line is Japan
Pete, i wish you would have played them all without using the pick-up, so we could hear what they really sound like!
Cmon Man! They all sound similar with the pick-up on. Urgh!
No harley benton or chibson stands
No Fender stand this year?
Neither Fender or Gibson were there this year.
@@muinarc0 what is the reason?
@@stratojazzy These days with social media campaigns they probably don't think it is worth the time and expense. The same reason that Sony and Microsoft stopped going to the E3 electronics expo.
21:40 - 😽Yairi sweetness!
That had to be the electronics. No way any of those demos were mic’d. Every one sounded quacky.
@@fredflinstone3173 Probably true. I still like it.
I am an Alvarez fan, but they always talk about manufacture in the Far East. It's China and that's fine, just say it. The other thing is discounting. For instance in the UK over a month the MDR70eSB was available at £549, £599, £699 through to £799. Andertons regularly knock down Alvarez prices. No one is is going to trust the initial price of the Laureate series guitars or the 2024 Masterworks which have come in at much higher prices than their almost identical predecessors.
Alvarez needs to feature their Chinese master luthiers, not pretend they don't exist. I'd love to see a factory tour.
Dudes your demos where plugged in! Lame!!!
Not much point in getting into a booth and then plugging it in. Makes me think they sound awful acoustically. Same reason they didn’t play that new Martin acoustically.
Sorry but pete is not a great acoustic demonstrator… which is surprising cuz he’s pretty salty on the electric, not so much on the acoustic…put it down pete….
I mean, he played acoustic live for El Divo…
Was really hoping for a monster Alvarez sale like another shop did last January ‘:) can’t wait to get an artist series
