#alvarez #laureate #acousticguitar
Thanks for taking time to post this. There's almost nothing about these guitars on UA-cam. Between you and JP Cormier I decided to get one of these. Seems like an incredible value. It's a great time to be a player.
What’s the setup action like?
My favorite thing is the “classic charm of the natural finish”, and, “the new standard they set for musical quality”…😏
The marketing is getting pretty weak. Hahahaha!
I actually really like Alvarez, too. I own an FYM66HD Yairi and a Masterworks series in all solid black walnut. I just wish they would tone down the ridiculous marketing language.
This has nothing to do with your playing or the way you demonstrated it but the pickup sounds like straight booty. That’s like most piezoelectric pickups, so nothing terribly wrong there.
Amplifying an acoustic is the worst nightmare every acoustic player has to face, eventually.
The mic’d up sound is pretty nice; Nothing I can’t live without, but a nice choice for someone out there.
I would be interested to hear the OM size.
Nice demo, man. 🐰🎸🎶✌️
Guitar sounds great on its own. But that Hifi, i would get rid of it. Sounds to quacky to me. Not a natural sound at all.
Omg, totally lost in the mix.
it's just a terrible mix, which does not showcase this guitar.
For all the hype this guitar is getting, sounds like there is no low end at all. Not your fault. Playing is great but is this biased towards the highs? I don’t even get much of a lower mid in this. I got one coming on order. I hope it sounds better with more range in person.
I bought one of these. Tons of low end. A very nice guitar
The sound is totally different in this video compared to JP's review which made this guitar sound like a million bucks. I'm not sure how JP recorded it, but it sounds awful in this video. I guess I'll find out when it comes in, because after hearing the sound on JP's review, I was all in. I'm mainly interested in the unplugged in natural sound.
Sounds great to us, but it’s a difference in microphones, post-processing, and playback speakers. We don’t alter any of the audio on the back end to round out the sound either, so we’re just capturing it and letting it speak for itself. Sound is obviously colored by the microphones in use, which is why we have upgraded our microphone setup since this video to be more accurate.
Can’t speak to what JP does, but it looks like he uses an Astron Origin. The microphone is a huge part of the equation. It is what it is, and everyone will use something different and that’s perfectly fine. He’s a phenomenal player, which helps too!
