Making a leather dopp kit; this is an easy leather project that can require no stitching :)
In all our videos I try to include a few important tips that will help you along in your own leather working. This video has some tips of HOW TO sharpen and keep your leather knives razor sharp and cutting well.
This project is made with vegetable tanned leather.
The PATTERN and complete instruction manual with detailed photos is available on our website and we greatly appreciate your support.

I've rarely seen someone take that moment right as they finish a project to just take in what they've made. You have such pride in your work, it's infectious, it makes me want to practice and make things.

Your videos are always the most soothing out there. Even your punches are gentle. Like the nickel a little more than brass, although both are nice on the Dopp kit.

      @@CHARTERMADE 🔴 What Is Islam?
🔴 Islam is not just another religion.
🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) 📚
🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

Regarding your query about hardware preference, as an amateur silversmith, I almost always prefer silver, however, for that beautiful saddle colour leather, I feel that genuine brass is more suitable and classic. I’m pretty sure my son will want to make this Dopp kit for his dad (and probably one for himself). I’m going to order some of your patterns and possibly some of your knives. A Scout (son and hubs) always loves a good knife. :-)

Ethics question - I am new to leatherwork. I get inspired by everyone. For personal use I plan to adapt your design to custom dimensions and add a handle to hold my sharpening stones. My question, when are you ripping an artist off (unethically) and when are your using others for inspiration to improve your skills. I want to get better so I watch a lot of leather crafters. I want to get better but I don't want to be a cheap hack. Right now a cheap hack is all I am. Other than copyright, what are your boundaries for barrowing inspiration from other people's ideas/ design's. Thanks for your time, and cheers.

Love what you do and how you instruct, but please NO MUSIC. I’m finding it very challenging to follow what you’re saying and I’m definitely not a fan of music in between (I continuously have to turn down the volume and then back up again). I’m not sure why so many UA-camrs do this. If you were teaching a class in person, would you play music while you’re talking and/or have it come on louder in between sentences? I can pretty much guarantee that none of us (followers) would stop watching if you didn’t have music and I’m certain that some [more] of us would happily “tune in” (yes, pun intended) if you create your wonderful and informative videos without it. I just needed to get this of my chest. ;-) PS- I realize that you don’t have music playing all the way through this video so I’m mainly referring to others of yours that I’ve watched.
