    I love the look of this car - inside and out, and I can definitely appreciate the bump in performance over the normal CTS.
    Though without an AWD option I'm afraid I'd just have to settle for a standard CTS, or leave this one garaged during the Colorado winters. ☹

  • @The_CoreyBrown
    @The_CoreyBrown 9 років тому +7

    I work for the GM facility in Oshawa, Ontario here in Canada! And I can assure you, no matter how much you pay for a GM vehicle it always lacks in quality. Its just the way things are when you manufacture 2600 cars a day, which use to be double until they cut it down! Those were dark days for GM, just take a look at the interior of a Pontiac G6 for proof of that.

    • @IKhanNot
      @IKhanNot 9 років тому

      Corey Brown The Grand Am had an even worse interior. My Dad has a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora as a winter beater for when his Acura is parked and even though it's creaky as hell inside everything works great and overall the car rides well. Only costs a couple hundred bucks to keep running every year and mechanically it seems solid.

    • @DSNCB919
      @DSNCB919 9 років тому

      You don't work in michigan.. and soon all cadillacs will be made in u.s. isant ur plant loosing cars?

    • @The_CoreyBrown
      @The_CoreyBrown 9 років тому +1

      This is true, but it doesn't matter where the plant goes, the quality still isn't there... Just due to the number of cars they make a day! The quality will probably be worse in Michigan because they will increase their quota and make even more cars! Besides you're wrong anyways.... Most of production is being moved to Mexico, quality even worse! I do post production inspection and part inspection and I declined $12,000 in sunroofs from Mexico in one day, because s lot of our parts come from there!

    • @DSNCB919
      @DSNCB919 9 років тому

      Corey Brown please don't spread lies on youtube.. most nearly all cadillac production is being moved to the states especially when sold in states.. the new ct6 will be built in michigan and woulnt have the volume of a camaro

    • @The_CoreyBrown
      @The_CoreyBrown 9 років тому +3

      I'm not.... You may love your beloved Michigan, and you may be one of those head strong Americans! But GM doesn't give a fuck about you guys, at least until you pull your wallet out.... Same goes for us. They are a corporation; cutting cost - making more money! SRX has already moved to Mexico, and I'm assuming others have too. And in the future I'm sure plenty more will. The reality is, whether built in Canada or the United States. We are North Americans; greedy and always asking for more! So they would much rather pay José a much lesser minimum wage (I'm assuming in Mexico) than pay us $20 an hour here in Canada - and that's entry level! We dug ourselves into our own hole, we automate things and we demand to much - making jobs disappear for us!

    The paddle shifters aren't supposed to be used while turning , you either shift before a turn or after a turn. Shifting up while In a turn while make u loose power shifting down while cause u to loose control. That's why the correct placement for them is on the steering column.

    • @TheDiscrazy
      @TheDiscrazy 9 років тому

      Mina Botrous Well, they will be in the right spot regardless of where and when you are shifting. If the wheel is straight then they will still be in the correct position. I understand what you are saying but how is that bad?

    • @minogoda
      @minogoda 9 років тому

      Derek Decker where did I say it's bad ? Kyle said that it's good that they are on the steering wheel so that u can shift while turning.

    This guy sure knows his stuff; covers a lot of ground and covers it well. The car is a beauty though to me it does seem kinda weird that there's a speaker/mike setup to create an artificial motor sound. Also, I would rather have one of these in two-door just for the extra sportiness (but I guess not many manufacturers make two-doors anymore).

    You should check out the 2016 Mazda 6, specifically a Grand Touring...i know you did one for the 2014 model, but they made major interior changes for 16 and also some nice exterior details that virtually put the car in a class above the rest. There is no question why it was a finalist for world car design of the year...

    Personally. I feel like cadillac holded out when creating the cts v sport. Its called a "V" "SPORT" with a twin turbo. Should have came with quad exhaust tips and a decent exhaust system. Probably even a nice diffuser but I'd be asking for too much lol

    Everything in this car is immaculate and luxurious. The only thing I hate is the center dash, WHY do they still have that? Add some physical buttons, and nice wood-trims like a luxury line is supposed to have. Right now, it looks like it belongs in a Honda civic.

    I still don't understand why everyone moans at Cadillac's gauges. I driven an ATS and I think they look fine. It does lack a bit of style vs. the competition but it is clear & it works.
    The most interesting bit is the numbers actually just slightly 'float' over the actual panel but 99% of cameras don't pick it up. I wonder how much critics here ACTUALLY driven a current Cadillac anyways.

    Cadillacs need to have their own separate production facilities and actually have craftsmanship to them. Even though it has great material , it still has a typcial GM mass production feel to it.

    • @joseuribe1249
      @joseuribe1249 7 років тому

      Beavey I beg to differ. According to Cadillacvnet In 2014 They only made ~ 2500 V-Sports
      In 2015 they only produced ~ V-Sports..... Idk how you can say you feel like they are being mass produced? perhaps you might be referring to the non V series? Thats is, just regular CTS's and ATS's etc...?

    Like the design, personally don´t like the white. And no matter how sophisticated those automatic transmissions are today a car that has a sport in his designation should have a stick. You just feel more connected with a car. And from what I saw in your video the shifting time seems pretty slow. I don´t expect Ferrari or Porsche shifting but you push the paddle and it takes a while before it actually shifts. Nevertheless, great review as always.
