I was going to buy a Lexus but I was won over by the forward thinking of the pen holder. Having two pen choices has always been a dream for me.

The CT6 actually sold No. 2 to Mercedes during the time it was built. It outsold A8, 7-series, G90, and Lexus LS.

THE ONE BIG RED it’s because the scores are based on super car standards. It might get a 3 out of 10 for acceleration, based on super car standards. But for this car standards it would fare much better

I don't really care for Cadillac that much but one thing I absolutely love about this car that it doesn't have one of those stuck on screen infotainment systems I like the fact this one here is fully integrated into the dashboard and makes it look like Cadillac Engineers really took the time out to design the car and the infotainment system properly.

As a non-american who hardly ever sees American cars in his own country apart from Fiestas and Focuses, it's always enjoyable to see Cadillacs, Lincolns, Ford Crown Vics, and other American cars that people in the States treat as normal ^_^

I bought my 2018 Cadillac CT6 brand new with the 3.0TT and supercruise and it's the best car I've ever owned. Mine is pearl white the cinnamon leather and carbon fiber interior. The supercruise is a game-changer -- the car's handling and power are the icing on the cake.

As a director for Cadillac for the last six years, the reason you can turn that mirror off is because it can give you motion sickness because it does me and I turn it off when I drive the vehicles but it’s absolutely night vision I use it at night to see a bigger picture

It was between the ES350, 5-Series or CT6, never cared for Cadillac, but I had to go with the CT6 Luxury w/SCP, I got a 2018, my car is exactly the color, rims, like the one in the video, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s so fast, and smooth. And it has WAY more features that Lexus and BMW didn’t have,like remote start, panoramic roof, more HP with that signature Cadillac sound, and I think it was $34k plus w/ 65k miles, anyway, I’m VERY happy.

The CTS is the most beautiful modern caddy in my opinion, especially the recently face-lifted one.
It's a shame they all have issues. CTS and ATS all have mold growing in the evaporator coil which requires 12 hours at the dealer removing the entire dash and seats to replace. Piston failures on the 2.0 turbo, 3.6tt on the vsport has several issues, steering column lock warning messages. The ATS and CTS are both garbage. I've owned three of them. I will never buy another Cadillac again. The CT6 suffers from transmission issues too. XT5 you cant even turn off auto start and stop. SRX was good, and Escalade is good too. Everything else is crap.

There are several display configuration options with the digital dash, you can pick the sport theme which gives the Tach more presence. You can also just have it on the heads up display, your choice.
This is a Cadillac. Few CT6 owners will care about the tach.

While a washer for your rear back up cameras are nice, I'd like a little nozzle that also blasts it with air because there are times when it's been particularly heavy with rain and you go to reverse and the camera is covered in water... a quick airblast would fix that.

It does work, I can guarantee you that.
It's infrared so it sees through sunglasses. It's similar to how Samsung iris scan also works through even the most guido mirrored lenses.
It works the same way my iPhone X can still read my face even with sunglasses on.

Cadillac is hinting towards a true "flagship" since they won't call the CT6 a flagship. Also since the discontinuation of the rest of the Cadillac car line-up, it would only be the CT5 and the "flagship" (based on the Escala concept car).

GM offers the most bullshit warranties they will nickel and dime you, I had a terrible experience were they took four times to fix my air conditioner and never could until it ran out of warranty, Later I found out they were just cheap and never actually replace parts

Good review, but you misrepresented the rear view camera mirror. You said that toggle is to turn off the mirror and kinda made fun of it, but it’s actually an option to revert back to a normal mirror. IMO that’s amazing to have both options 👍🏼

AK Safwat I care. Not only do we get to see where in-car technology is going, its very cool to see how each car brand will make a unique display. Also most of these features won't be in base model cars or in ones where all the options aren't selected. Also this isn't a sports car as much as it (seems) to be a very comfortable daily driver. Were you looking for an engine noise or sporty handling? Its a fucking cadillac. You missed the whole point.

I WANT THAT! The camera washers, 3 different modes of scrolling/selecting, camera mirror, and self driving mode are pretty neat additions. I know self driving doesn't work everywhere, but as someone who goes on many family vacations, having the option of your car doing the driving on the interstate and major highways is a God-send. Driving long hours even with cruise control is tiring, believe me. Also, the mirror switch is for those who don't like the camera or have broken their rearview camera somehow. You can legally drive without one (as long as the two side mirrors work), but future laws might make it illegal. It would also be unsafe to drive without a functioning rearview mirror, especially for new drivers.

They didn’t even try to sell the CT6. The XTS was always available while the CT6 was sold, and it was significantly less expensive while being the same size. Had the CT6 even been available for one year without the XTS, it would’ve sold well enough for GM to see it was a worthwhile endeavor to sell these in the US. The Chinese market still has the CT6, which seems ludicrous that the US has no large Cadillac sedan for sale, too. They spent a small fortune developing the 4.2l V8, then promptly cancelled the car it belonged to. The XT6, was originally supposed to be a rwd first SUV, based on this stretched Alpha platform, replete with the Blackwing V8. Had GM seen that project through, the XT6 would be true competition to the best SUV offerings from around the world. It seems especially short sighted to be without that model as Jeep launched its Wagoneer brand. GM is betting the farm on electric vehicles, which seems less and less wise as time goes by. So many missed opportunities.

rear seat reminder is a nice feature...i remember a dad last year in my area forgot his son in the car and went to work...the 10 months old child was dead on the backseat and he realized it only when he came back to pick him up at the nursery...heart breaking...and they said in the US such stories happen on average 45 times every year.

Ali GENCER na, they're adequately rated. They're good values for money, the interior design and build is always a little bit cheaper than it should be, which pushes people like me to continue buying BMWs. For example, was going to get an ATS V but the interior was just garbage compared to the M3, or even standard 335i. But as far as equipment and performance for price, you definitely can't beat the Cadillac. I really hope they get the next gen ct5 interior right- because then I might get whatever performance model of that car is a few years down the road- if they make one. Cars are dying these days. (sadface)

Andrew Davison totally agree, I think the gauges in the ATS-V are the most egregious part. I bought a current gen CTS-V recently and was actually pleasantly surprised with the interior after hearing what people said about it. A lot of nice leather and alcantara. But when you tell people you got a Cadillac everyone thinks it’s a giant slow boat.
Are Cadillacs good again? GM has been kind of mediocre since forever ago outside of a few models.

My dad took his CTS V to the shop, and they gave him one of those, it’s was so cool and luxurious, and you should do a review on the CTS V, I love it.
