You’re bang on, my friend. Those verses are amazing and paint such an eerie picture. James' vocal approach combined with that bass and drum line work so well together
Ive seen/read some very mixed reactions to this track, but I love it. I think the atmosphere of the verses are creepy and cool, and riffs are some of the best off the album, in my top 5 songs from H2SD.
If you like that "behind you" line, check out Motörhead's "Smiling Like A Killer": "What if I was right behind you, smiling like a killer?" And you can hear his smile in the vocals...
Love your reactions man ! glad Halo on fire started growing on you ! i love that song.. and yeah XD spit out the bone is pretty hyped.. and it's justified !
Hey buddy I discovered you a few weeks ago and really enjoy your reactions. Even tho you obviously know what you're talking about since you're a musician, It's your personality that got my attention the most. As a 40 year old guitar lover who never had a go at it for stupid reasons, I'm considering to pick it up and see how far I can go with my decreasing brain cells thanks to my age, lol.. I'd appreciate your suggestions on it and excuse may grammar since english is not my native language.
Thank you so much. That is incredible kind. Definitely pick it up. Take your time with it. You may be 40, but there is no rush with this kind of thing. Hell some actors don’t make it until they are much older!
@@Starcoma You're very welcome and also thank you for the encouragement. It would be great to post my improvement in future and see what you'd have to say about it down the road. Fingers crossed..
2 years late but if I'm right, I read it somewhere where these parents told Metallica that their daughter was one of their biggest fans. Saying that she passed away from a drunk crashing into her car on her way to a Metallica concert. Which made James want to write a song for tribute to her. But I could be wrong?.
A little nip and a tuck here and there to keep the arrangement tighter is all this one needs for me. It has great riffs, no doubt. I have more to say about how it fits on the album overall but I will reserve that for some other time as you continue through with the remainder.
TBH, I feel the intro especially would fit side 2 or Reload.... the Fixxer/Where the Wild Things Are style of riffing.. just on an overall better composed song than any on side 2 of reload.
What do you think about uploading outstanding songs in the same time? Record all reactions and upload together we wait for this! Especially for Spit Out The Bone 🦴 :)
Hardwired has a lot of good album songs. You might not ever seek out a few to listen by themselves, but when you slap the album on you turn up the volume for the whole thing. Am I Savage? might not be perfect, but it think it has a good groove. And reaction to S&M2 Halo On Fire when?
I really like here comes revenge but I just wish James came up with something else other than just singing the word revenge over and over again in the chorus.
Heavily underrated! The build up to the main riff is pure Het genius..
The main riff is one of my favorites James has ever written.
Can't wait for your reaction to Spit Out The Bone 😎
My second favorite song is up next: Am I Savage?! So fucking groovy and heavy. Hope you love it dude!
Agreed. I love Am I Savage
This song is in my top 10 of my fave Metallica songs. Just so dark and dirty
It’s a very underrated song on the album. Keep up the great work sir!

James: "I'm behind you"
Him: *actually looks behind*

It has become a favourite of mine. I think my main gripe is repeating “Revenge” so much. Feels a bit cheesy.
Haha I knew you were going to snap out of it and realize Halo is a classic🤘🏻
I love to play Revenge, awesome song...
next song has that one riff that you wont think james wrote it. so fucking heavy.
Next, next, next!!! Meanwhile take a look at the official video of Here Comes Revenge ;-)
Don’t worry, I have been doing that. That’s how my opinion on Halo On Fire changed.
If you like that "behind you" line, check out Motörhead's "Smiling Like A Killer": "What if I was right behind you, smiling like a killer?" And you can hear his smile in the vocals...
I had the same thing with Halo on Fire! Exactly the same.
This song is like "Wherever I May Roam" #2
I could see that.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘this is wonderful. Thank you
You should see the music video. It's great! Real horror without one drop of blood
Yeah, after each reaction, I watched the music video. That one is fantastic!

I love HCR, can't wait to see the reaction to Am I Savage? and Spit Out the Bone
Another song from this album that has a Reload feel.

glad you enjoy this one and Halo...the S&M version is incredible

I believe you are right. I feel like I’ve read the same thing.

AC/DC-Shot in dark
I Think i dont Need words for this
12:07 AM I SAVAGE? Well after listening to the song you are going to become one :D
I like the Revenge part and how it’s sung, the rest of the words yes are cheesy. It’s easy to sing too it though when your driving. Playing it loud!

It’s “murder one” you probably won’t like. It’s only real redeeming quality is that its an homage to Lemmy.
PS. RIP Eddie Van Halen.

E jbg kad spanes na to da ulovis po dobru strofu od nekad omiljenog benda
I love the verse so much, but not so much the chorus.
I think the word “Revenge” is used a bit too much. Kinda pulls you out of it.
He wrote this becaus one of his gsns got killed by a drunk driver
I'm not sure what gsns means, but either way, that's real sad.
Great vocals and riffs but this solo is just obnoxious noise
I’m rarely a fan of solos myself. Most of the time, they serve no purpose for me.
Starcoma they should serve a purpose if only metallica had a great lead guitarist
@@Starcoma the unforgiven solo is an expectation. Awesome solo
Verses are great, but that's about it with this song..
Am I savage is the weakest song in that album imo. But spit out the bone is the best probably. Waiting for your reactions
Agreed
I disagree. I think Savage is one of their best on the album. Some cool guitar and vocal work in there
ManUnkind is the weakest song...
I may have to agree there. At least so far.
@@Starcoma it should've just been left out. It seemed a bit forced together...
