    I love your videos and positive vibes. I live in the Colorado Springs area and enjoy the knowledge I'm gaining watching your videos. I've been starring at the Union Park area myself. You should do a video on purchasing a claim.

      Gabriel Navakuku don’t purchase. Stake your own. Who would sell a good profitable claim? No one. Go to mylandmatters.org and you can search current and past claims. A 20 1/2 acre claim is only about $200 a year in fees.

      Awesome. Lol I'm sorry and I'm a new guy to all this and dont know the lingo but yes. The process of staking a claim is definitely what I was meaning. I definitely appreciate the link Mr. River.

      Great video thanks for making, know any good mining clubs to join in Arizona or Colorado?

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks Gabriel, much appreciated! You have to be very careful when considering buying a federal or patented mining claim. A vast majority of all federal mining claims you see for sale are likely not worth your time or money. Hobby level claims can be found but you really need to know what to look for or consult with a knowledgeable claims researcher such as myself. I will consider doing a claims research or buyer beware type video in the future.

    Will you make a video of crushing and panning that mineralized quartz? I am super interested in what might be in that rock!

      I can do that :) Found another very interesting piece of ore that didn't make it into the video. That one will be really exciting to split open!

    Gold Fever Is Real !
    I worked for a small CO underground gold/silver mine when I was a lot younger and my boss had full fledged gold fever. We would be out driving the roads to Cripple Creek or Central City and have to seemingly stop every 10 minutes to inspect the road cuts and chip away samples with rock hammers. He was quite the character and well liked in CO.....funny to remember it now.

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  4 роки тому +1

      Right. Colorado is know as a fine gold state. Most prospectors here will never find a flake as big as the one I detected. Now if you put your mind to it and know where do dig, pickers and nuggets can be found :)

  • @sarahsaathoff4648
    @sarahsaathoff4648 4 роки тому +5

    I'm impressed that you keep digging in the same spot, there is so much noise. I feel like I need to watch it again to try and hear the difference between all the sounds. Do you think that all those noises meant that heavy material was collecting there?

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  4 роки тому +4

      Highly mineralized ground can be a real challenge to detect because of all of the seemingly endless chatter/targets and noise. We call this "hot ground". You have to train your ear to decipher sounds and ignore the chatter. I have had targets that sound just like rusty tin, turn out to be gold. In fine gold county you have to dig them all!

    • @sarahsaathoff4648
      @sarahsaathoff4648 4 роки тому +1

      I get distracted by the loud noises and by the time I find something, I forget there were other noises...so you always re-detect the area after you find something or do you have a different strategy for making sure your dug all the targets?

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  4 роки тому +2

      @@sarahsaathoff4648 I do check my hole after I dig a target, though sometimes after a piece of trash I forget to check the hole again... I have found 3 pieces of gold in 1 hole before.

    Why do the rocks make noise? Is it iron?

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  4 роки тому +5

      It could be iron or a variety of minerals and conditions. Wet clay or soil can even give false signals on a VLF detector. The loud rocks I found are hematite and magnetite which are very iron rich. The 2 pieces of ore that I found contained iron, lead and galena all of which are conductive.

    • @sarahsaathoff4648
      @sarahsaathoff4648 4 роки тому +1

      Wow, wet clay or soil can give a false signal? That is interesting...I wonder if that could mean bedrock in some instances...like the water is pooling on bedrock, therefore the clay stays wet?

    • @ColoradoGoldCamp
      @ColoradoGoldCamp  3 роки тому +1

      Sensitivity 10/full. Ground setting mid/normal. Would ground balance often. Super noisy ground but it seems like it I dumb the machine down more, I rarely find anything.
