This is really Stevie at his finest. He is so ON here. The guitar solo is just pure greatness. The laid back feel, the monster tone, the electricity.... it's just flowing through him. It just does not get any better than this.
Only Stevie Ray Vaughan can sing it and bring it to the strat and let it out and how..great band with rhythem and lyrics..Stevie can make that strat say just what be desired it to strut out..RIP Stevie..THE LEGEND
@@bensblues this particular recording is track 1, disc 3 of the box set that came out in 2000. I just finally found it here, since i don't use cd's much anymore.

i think this is his best solo ever, the simplicity and his tone is amazing. I had to go and learn this solo note for note, its fun to play
Timothy Jordan I got 5 different live versions of this tune and i've always felt this was the best one.
Absolutely agree with both of you, 100%. I'm a huge fan - and this solo.... the tone, the electricity, the raw emotion.... SRV at his peak best.
Just found this. It is late now. Tomorrow morning I am learning this solo
Has a video ever surfaced of this concert?
The solo soars!
I think it's the best one of all.

I have a bootleg CD of this show,it says September 30th.
What disk is this on??! Is it in the Complete Epic Recordings?
It was on a CD in a SRV box set. I think I bought it around 2002 or so?
This was '85 not '87
Rare? It's an official release by his record label.
