Book me for a time machine to go back to this moment. Just to grab a smoke, have a drink, sit back and enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime talent that is SRV & Double Trouble. Many guitar talents out there, but the tone, feel and touch he had may never be achieved again.
This is great! I love to see how he kept getting better and better as he aged . But he was born to be this it’s in him. I have an audio recording of him from Antones in January of 1976. He was playing with Paul Ray and the Cobra’s band back then. He was just 21 years old

He was so talented and beautiful inside and out made me so sad when he died he touched my heart and soul no one has done that rip Stevie you beautiful angel you are loved and missed ❤
@@CleanNOTSerene it’s mainly position 1 minor blues pentatonic. In open E with some sliding down to A for those quick licks that slide back up to E. And dirty pool is in D minor which is D minor A and G. All using position 1 minor pentatonic. I can show you better than I can tell you lol
I've never been as much of an SRV guy as a lot of my contemporaries, only because his music was so overplayed at jams, I'd be happy if I never heard or played pride and joy, crossfire, or cold shot ever again. But when I listen to this old stuff, it gives me a much deeper appreciation for the soulful and versatile player that he was. It's too bad a bunch of hacks had to overplay him and ruin it.
It’s 2014 and this is blasting out my mom’s 07 Mustang convertible. Good times.
Playing like this at 26? Are you kidding me? The chords of Dirty Pool are so mature, and that voice! Hot solo 🔥🔥🔥 Whew. 🎸👽. ☮️. to all. Thank you!!
Absolute killer player!
But the chords of dirty pool you find at „double trouble“ a song of Otis rush 😎😄
Well at 26 he was already a grizzled veteran of his craft
@@modoc97405 So true. But still, I can’t help being floored by him.
Nothing better than Stevie Ray Vaughan 24 hours a day...
You got it ya'll. Thats all I listen to. ❤❤❤❤

That Guitar 🎸 He found his Voice.

that tempo change at 2 minutes almost going into the hideaway boogie back to the delta blues so fast is fucking crazy
Thats cuz SRV was secretly the drummer of double trouble 😉 he drove their song's tempo and pace.
@ i somehow believe that
@@dtm67543 He even actually played drums on a few songs, the one I linked he plays drums (ua-cam.com/video/M4ghyd8yBAU/v-deo.html)
@ i heard he always wanted to be a drummer but not sure that’s true
@@Liam-fn8yl i really shoulda known that version of empty arms isn’t chris

Whats the name of the first song hes playing?
Absolutely killer; excellent intro and segue (and, definitely, thanks for posting)! But, is there anything "delta blues" here?
✨🌈♥️👋🥴👍✨
yes

Where is it or what's being referred to as Delta blues? I'm missing something.
😁
No video footage. Not good.
Somebody posts one of the all-time great blues guitar clips and you find a way to whine about it?
Since when can’t we enjoy Stevie’s magic without our eyes. Of course I love watching him but God forbid I’m stricken deaf.
