This is what I hate about civ 6 AI. It only gets so many early advantages because it's so bad. That Petra is a perfect example. I've seen the AI build wonders they can't use at insane speed in cities with literally zero production improvements.
The problem with AI is it doesn't have the ability to PLAN It acts, It reacts, it has templates. It doesn't shuffle or plan ahead or anticipate anything. Because AI has no internal memory or expectations. It's a limiting feature. Now I wish we could do better: But then the moment we improved AI to plan ahead: the moment anything went wrong, a war was declared: It wouldn't be able to re-evaluate and cope.
but good A.I is pretty hard to program. it maybe be easy to think of an A.I as a human player but you have gotta realise is that the ai is code, it has to follow some sort of order. no order and it won't work.

Maori with preserve if fucking insane, had a tundra city with the wonder that makes tundra better and a preserve, the yields in the 6 adjacent tiles were insane.
I just gimped my game yesterday by not settling tundra. (Barb infantry piled up, I managed to convert them with apostles, but my lack of oil made them utterly useless). With hindsight, I should’ve considered making tundra preserves there.
what in the actual fuck was the 5 horse tiles in Rome at around the 30mins mark, I have never seen that many horse tiles just shoved together that way lol!
@@TwilightFlower9 yeah, but Babylon would still be able to do it, they only need to research mining and build 3 mines to unlock industrial zones. You could also do it as Gauls who unlock their Oppidums with Iron Working, and even get +2 adjacency bonus from strategic resources.
Its interesting that you mentioned sleep & CFS. My suspected chronic fatigue syndrome ended up being obstructive sleep apnea! I had NO idea, I didn't even snore. Life changing to get that mouthguard. Standard map size with 8 Civs. Void Singer relics are insane, and then the yields from Eiffel Tower are so sweet. Yields for days! Turn 255 win on Deity.

Not sure if you have a streaming contract but you should defo stream to both at once. That's the best way to grow and you can combine the chats. Best of both worlds

Dido might be interesting on a Terra map. Would get you the settlers and naval escorts to reach the New World, and if you aren't the first to reach it, move your capital to a city there to increase pressure to the other civs' colonies.

I want to have a new civ that gives scouts a base combat buff for each promotion. Maybe like 3 or 5 combat for each promotion so that they get progressively stronger as they do their job, with a sharp boost once they hit ambush. Maybe that'd be a bit strong, but at least scouts wouldn't be utterly useless past turn 50.
@@izzyjamm4 i tried as scotland. Blitzed Victor to Embrasure, spammed out a ton of scouts, built the terracotta army then upgraded then all to highlanders and rushed for ambush. Actually managed alright, but wasn't quite quick enough. The last civ started getting tanks, and even upgrading to spec ops wasn't really enough to win with just recon.

1:20:00 I think an extra melee unit plus sun wukong would have distracted legions long enough for you to push back their onslaught. Should have made an extra warrior and went for wukong(both together cost one archer of production). 2 melee and 3 ranged are ideal for defence. A hero can be a game changer, but Wukong is a simply a next era strength warrior(bad luck there)
I always listen to you and your thermonuclear bomb about the using talking about MH as the cure rather than for fixing it was a bombshell and then I have BPD and you knew DBT was for BPD and it's amazing, nice to hear you talking about this stuff
Unless scouts get a promotion from a village or natural wonder, in which case they can move over hills without penalty. Its a coin flip, do you think you'll get some villages in the course of your exploration or not.
@@markimhof3520 yeah, I feel like scouts are way more reliant on promotions than any other class. I really think scouts outta get a free promotion by default so they get at least a bit of a headstart depending on terrain.

I think the production cost is the same. You just don’t want to activate Voidsingers while building a monument because it starts all over and you lose the production.

You video inspired me to try Bull Moose Teddy. I am still learning the game and I thank you for all the helpful tips. By sheer luck I rolled this incredible start on a Standard Continents map Game Seed: 168836069 Map Seed: 1688360669. The only game option I had selected was Corporations and Monopolies. As I said, I am still learning the basics and adding too many bells and whistles can get in the way of that. Correction: Continents, Standard Map size, Legendary start, Wet and Low Sea Level with Monopolies and Corporations.
At 40:33, I'm curious what you mean by this (as someone trying to improve planning). Since 4 tiles out is the minimum for a city, did you mean westward toward Rome? How do you generally space cities apart? I know the "ideal" strategy is generally to put as many districts together as possible to maximize adjacency bonuses, but I'm curious nonetheless. Thanks

That's why venetian arsenal is never built (by the AI). They can't plan their industrial zone on the coast.

Potato, for Highlands map, Slingers are better than scouts because of all the consecutive hills. Scouts very rarely can go 3 tiles.

By sheer luck I rolled this incredible start on a Standard Continents map Game Seed: 168836069 Map Seed: 1688360669. The only game option I had selected was Corporations and Monopolies. As I said, I am still learning the basics and adding too many bells and whistles can get in the way of that. Correction: Continents, Standard Map size, Legendary start, Wet and Low Sea Level with Monopolies and Corporations.

At 40:33, I'm curious what you mean by this (as someone trying to improve planning). Since 4 tiles out is the minimum for a city, did you mean westward toward Rome? How do you generally space cities apart? I know the "ideal" strategy is generally to put as many districts together as possible to maximize adjacency bonuses, but I'm curious nonetheless. Thanks
