I have also a Monteverde pen. I swapped that standard feeder for a Jowo.
السلام عليكم.عمت صباحاgood morning.thanks..
I like the Olive color on the Ritma and that ink was the perfect match. Enjoy your smooth B nib. I recently shared my new Ritma with an Omniflex nib. The magnetic cap is quite fun.
I ordered this before I saw the Olive Swirl ink. I was originally aiming to match it with R&K Gold-Grun.
@@GarryEves You’ll have to share in another video update to compare the performance of each ink in the pen.
Aloha Garry! Thanks for sharing your first impression of the Monteverde Ritma. I bought one when it first came out and the danger was that the converter is not very secure, so there's a chance the entire grip section could fall into the ink bottle! And/or the converter could pop off at any time. There's just too big of gap between the grip section barrel and the converter and cartridge. I had to put a piece of tape to fill that gap. Later models have that added collar, which should be tighter against the converter/cartridge? Don't know why Monteverde never went with a threaded converter like they do with many other Monteverde and Conklin (both Yafa Brands) pens. I also recall having flow issues with all three pens I own and that's with both converters and cartridges. The new 2023 orange is very tempting .... Mahalo, Thomas
Thanks for the tip. I will keep an eye on the convertor. After using this pen I may give Conklin another try.
I’m obsessed with the Ritma. I have several colors with a few different nib sizes. I love the diameter of the grip section, but it’s too bad it’s polished metal. The cap is fun, but in my experience, it’s not air tight so there could be issues of the nib drying out. Using it at least every couple days should keep it writing, though. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine!
Thanks. So far I have quite liked writing with it. For me the weight is perfect. I may have to invest in a couple more in the future.
I like this pen a lot. I have the car on fibre edition. I was a little surprised at the weight but it is very comfortable in the hand to use.
Not surprising is the sound of the pen when you uncap the pen. I love the "pop". The pen was made with very close tolerances and I had not problem with the nib drying even when left alone for weeks. This is a great pen for the price.
Great review, Garry.
Thanks. I got this after reading your recommendation.
I'm quite enjoying this pen and may look at some more, the carbon fibre one sounds like a perfect match for me.
@@GarryEves I know you buy multiples of pen you like. Go for the carbon fibre version. You will enjoy it.
I have a Monteverde Ritma with an omniflex nib. I like the way it looks and writes. It's a bit heavy for me so I don't use in long writing sessions. But overall, I'm pleased with it.
Thanks. How does the omniflex nib compare to other flex nibs? I did try a flex nib for Narwhal but could not get on with it, but do keep eyeing up the omniflex nibs.
@@GarryEves I don't flex it much because I'm not really into flex nibs. I brought it at a discounted price and it only came with the flex, so I thought I would give it a try. It writes much like a regular nib when I use it.
