Great video! Thanks for the review. Wish you had a spreadsheet at the end showing the statistics, for all ten pens. Just to show where the Ritma lands compared to the other pens. Thanks again for revising the Ritma. I saw it might come in a bundle with various nibs.
The look reminds me of the Faber Castell Ambition, which I just got. Especially the step-down. I haven't had a chance to try the Ambition because, what are the chances - I don't have a standard international converter or cartridge anywhere!
Picked up two of these at Dromgoole's. The first time I pulled the cap off the one I picked up... "Ooooh!!!" Daily carry it and enjoy it. I don't think I've ever had either one dry out. It does feel awkward with the cap on the end... the caps weight does throw off the balance.
It does come with that converter--at least the one I bought from Dromgoole's did. Thanks for the review! I like this pen too. I have no problem with the clip, but the step up is indeed a slight annoyance. Not a big deal, though--a great pen for the money.
Love going to that store (Houston), in the last year I became a pen collector and love to write with them. I am now going to start drawing again and use different color inks that I also purchase from Dromgoole’s
Same here...should come with the converter installed and 2 ink cartridges (blue and black). Got mine, the orange special edition model just this week and its a great pen. New to collecting and got all mine from Dromgoole's . Good store, fast 1 day delivery if you are in town (they give you free stickers when you do that).
That looks a good writer, with an attractive two-tone colour scheme ; for that price it seems a bargain. The only problem for my smaller aged-dried fingers, is the grip. It would be better to taper with some gentle flare at the nib end. As it is , to me, the relatively fat grip is reminiscent of that of the most disappointing pen that I have ever bought - the Lamy Aion , which sits unloved in my collection.
If you don't mind, I'd like to know how the Ritma holds up over time as the last Monteverde pen I bought (Innova) had it's paint chip off and cap get loose in less than a year :(. I'd like to avoid that disappointment if possible. The Ritma looks very attractive, but I'm leery of Monteverde's quality control. Since it's been a year that this comment was posted, I was wondering if I could hear your thoughts?
My Ritma came with a silver nib. I wrote to the company asking to trade the nib for a black one (especially since my pen is also black, and it bugs the heck out of me that they don't match!), and they sent me another silver one. 🥴 Ugh.

Why there are so less reviews of this pen? To me its a beautiful pen, and it's a good review!

Yeah, I think these are a very good pen from Monteverde. The cap works really well.
Thank you thank you! Very thorough review.
That looks nice! Thanks for posting this review

He knows that. He said that to get comments and likes. Because he has to put in the ink to write before the video.
How much does this pen cost?
If I watch more than one video of yours, I must remember to turn the volume down or my dogs go haywire at your intro. 😂
Ha! Scraggles is just saying "Hi!"
First time for a change :) I have one in Blue (Fine)

I'm enjoying my Ritma. I have it with Carbon Fiber. Another Monteverde pen that is kind of a sleeper that I really like is the MVP - the pocket pen.

That's really, really strange.
My Ritma don't pop and the ink dries over the day... :(
That sucks. Sounds like maybe you have a bad cap? Might be worth it to reach out to Yafa about it.
What the..... A day?.... ain't this pen supposed to be EDC grade? Thank god I didn't click buy
Looks Castell, which is swell...
Apparently it translates to “rhythm.”
Oh thank goodness a pen reviewer who doesn't have intimidatingly beautiful handwriting ;)
Ha! Nope. I don't think mine will intimidate anyone.
